This was a short story but a perfect story none the less. It depicted Dean & Liv's first Christmas together. Ever since I was introduced to Dean & Liv I've been obsessed. Literally. Their connection and love is all consuming. In Advent Dean showed once again how much he needed Liv and She made the two most beautiful gifts for Dean, that proved that they were meant to be together. Forever!
I can't believe I have been hoarding this little gem on my kindle since 2016! Came across it last night when I was trawling through my Kindle to find something different to read.
This is about Liv and Dean facing the possibility that their first Christmas together could be their last and how they overcome that possibility.
Like the whole series it was hot and well written and I think a re-read of the Spiral of Bliss trilogy is now calling.
Wow, this book was perfect for Christmas time, it was such a cute short story. I loved seeing the aftermath of what happened after they went home and spent time together. I don't have much to say in the spoilers since this was a really short story, but I'll get into more detail later on in the spoiler section of my review.
You have to have read both Arouse and Allure by Nina Lane in order to read this since it follows after these two books. I'll copy the same summary from book one of my review since I don't want to spoil the series for you. The summary: This book follows Olivia, who is married to the love of her life, Dean. Dean is a professor and Olivia used to be a student that is now struggling to find a job and a place where she belongs. Dean and Olivia met in a university, and their life has been everything they wanted. Dean and Olivia share everything with one another, or so they believe. After feeling doubts, their marriage is suddenly plummeting, both of them struggle to save the one safe place they have had in their lives, the marriage they value with one another is nearing its end unless they do something about it.
This book is super cute, if you really like this series and want more of the couple, this is perfect. It's especially perfect for Christmas time since it's a super Christmassy read, with gingerbread and cuteness. Anyway, now for spoilers.
I recommend this to those who have read the first two books in this series, it's super short and cute, I loved every second of it. I can't wait to read the third book in this series, but I know it's gonna be heavy on the feels. Anyways, stay safe folks! Advent (Spiral of Bliss #2.5) I don't do novellas--much less, holiday themed books--but this is Dean & Liv! and I'll read their grocery list if that's what Nina Lane decides to write about. Yeah, it was short, shorter than anything I've ever picked up in romance and I loved every word. Incredibly steamy and yet, also incredibly heart-felt. I got teary-eyed reading about Liv's 'Jar of Firsts.' Basically, Advent was perfect.
I'm a huge fan of the Spiral of Bliss novels (books 1-3) and Advent is a novella following the same couple from these books. I'm so glad I decided to reread books 1-2 and was able to get ahold of this novella for the first time.
Nina Lane wanted to give Liv and Dean West fans a Christmas present in June, and boy did she. I loved this sexy short story of their first Christmas together. Dean was his usual sexy self and had to overcome Liv's resistance to his biggest Christmas present. I loved how they resolved that issue with a bit of steam at its conclusion. And their past and future firsts were so memorable! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ A favorite moment: “Wait for me,” he said. An overwhelming sense of hope rose inside me, like a bright, shining glass ornament mirroring the world. I stroked my hand upward and pressed it right over his heart. His heartbeat thumped against my palm—strong, steady, everlasting. Just like him. “I’ll wait for you,” I promised. I had the sense I would wait for him forever. Dean moved his hand around to the back of my neck and eased closer for a warm, lovely kiss that both anchored me to the earth and made me want to take flight. When he lifted his head, we were both breathing hard, the promise of more like a tangible thing between us. “Merry Christmas, Dean,” I whispered. “Merry Christmas, Liv.” He tugged gently at a lock of my hair and pressed his lips to my forehead. “Thanks for giving me a present I’ll never forget.” ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Up next in the Liv and Dean is Always (A Spiral of Bliss #5), expected out on June 21, 2016.
This was such a sweet addition and a wonderful gift for the readers !! I loved reading about Liv and Dean's 1st Christmas and get a bit more of their early days - to see how close they came to maybe NOT being the Liv and Dean we have grown to love !! Not to mention how deep and HOT their connection was even in the beginning. It may have been a quick little treat but it made an impact as all the pieces of their story have !!
Yazar küçük bir sürpriz yapmış... Dean ve Liv'in birlikte geçirdiği ilk Noel'i minik bir novella ile anlatmış.. Bu adamı (Dean) sevmemek mümkün mü acaba!! :D
Even when it comes to short stories, Nina Lane knows how to rock the words. Liv and Dean are even more beautiful as we move through the pages.

Liv did not know it but all that time she was waiting for Dean’s advent. He was the one for her.
This was a short and sweet story about Dean and Liv’s first Christmas together. Liv fears that once Deans job is over that they won’t be together anymore but he convinces her that they don’t have to have an expiration date.
A very sweet cute Christmas story about our favorite couple, amazing Dean and emotional Liv. It's the first Christmas together and their connection, the feelings, their need for each other, their love is so deep and so strong!
I got this book for being a subscriber of the author's newsletter and apparently, it’s part of a box set, and I’m not a fan of those for some odd reason [...]
Advent is a shorty telling their first Xmas when doom might have been looming around the next corner, but not. It was so heartwarming and gave me the feels. I miss this couple, even though I remember feeling like belonging to someone was a bit extreme. At one point even the main character thought it too. But let’s not get into it now. This series is over, and I will miss it, but I am thankful for having this chance to look into their first Xmas at-home party. Maybe when my TR list is empty I'll have a re-read of this whole series (including his bother's story, which I have not yet read... Oops).
