Holy cow, this book completely flipped me around. I don't even know what to say to stop myself from spoiling anything. Readers will be pulled to the edge of their seats as they watch how far Andy will go to find out the answers to the questions he discovers. At the same time, they will be tempted to wonder whether or how they might do the same. They will savor this taste of small town mystery like a slip of 90-percent-pure dark chocolate.

I have never read anything like that.
A story so dark and powerful that you can't stop reading it.
Deep and complex characters, excellent prose. This is what made me love Halversham so much.

Oh my goodness, guys. This book was so amazing.

Honestly, I was slightly bored in the beginning, but only because I'm feeling like reading a fantasy book, but I was so surprised by it. As soon as I woke up after finishing it I made my mom sit down with me so I could tell her all about it.

The author's writing was spectacular, even though I felt like she may have described some thing sin such a way that you forgot that you were in the 21st century, but it spoke to the feel of Halversham.

Other than that...holy cow, this book completely flipped me around. I don't even know what to say to stop myself from spoiling anything -- I've written this review three times!

Okay, all you guys need to know is that you MUST read this book. It is SO, SO, SO worth it. You'll get chills, and be sick with disgust (at the characters, not the author), and just be amazingly shocked and confused...Just read it.

A Quirky and Disturbing Tale

Neglected by his father, Andy who is nearly sixteen, decides to stay in a village that his mother loved and attempts to come to terms with her death. This peaceful retreat, turns out to be more than he bargained for.

R.S. Anthony is a quirky writer and her story-line, I found bizarre and shocking. This book did leave me thinking about it after so I guess that means there is something about this tale that is intriguing.

Halversham will certainly surprise you.
