Nine.

The number of years between us.

Nine.

And that’s just one reason it’ll never work. I have eight more. One for every year I’ve been alive longer than he has. They’re simple reasons. Obvious ones. And all I should need to know to understand that giving Lucas McNealy even half a thought, is a total and complete waste of time.

Only he doesn’t seem to know that. If he did, I’m sure he wouldn’t keep showing up.

In my thoughts.

At my shop.

And on my doorstep.

Nine simple reasons.

Nine undeniable years.

Nine attempts to tell him ‘No’. Nine.

Dog Lover who likes her pastries full of cream and sugar...oh...and I write some ;-)

Aside from being an author, I am also a mom to a beautiful little girl. I tell everyone I named her after my great-grandmother (because that's the mature answer), but really, I named her after my favorite princess - just so happens I got lucky and they had the same name...If I wasn't a writer, I would work on a horse ranch - I'm an animal lover (in addition to dogs, horses are at the top of my list). I wear flip-flops pretty much everywhere I go. I would rather stay awake until 5 am than get up at 5 am (years of bar tending have left their mark), if I can, I'm going to the beach AND I will always be nice to people who bring me chocolate...or coffee...if you bring me both, I'll probably love you forever.

I write the way I live, following the story wherever it may lead, always ready to start the next one. This is clearly reflected in my body of work which to date includes everything from Children's Lit to Thrillers.
I happily reside in sunny Florida (for now) with my daughter and three dogs.

Counting backwards is so much fun.....

Nine is the first book in the A pINK series and it includes the series prequel Ten. I had not read this book when it first came out, as I had not discovered K.S. Thomas until later. So this was a nice way to see how her writing and story-telling styles have progressed and/or changed. Sometimes earlier work by authors you like may not be a good but this book does not disappoint on any level. The story is tight and well written, the characters are great and all the emotion, drama and smoking hot chemistry is woven together expertly. A definite RECOMMEND READ is all I can say!!!

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I really love this story, I started with the prequel Ten. You don't have to but I highly recommend since there is some great back story included in Ten. This book is set 5 years after Ten. Marcus, Olivia's dead beat brother is back and he's still a dead beat. However, the fantastic Lucas is back!!!! Pink is open and this is just the beginning! I really love this series and can't wait to dive into the next one. This is definitely a favorite of mine!

O.M.G. This was so not what I was expecting! I fell in love with these characters! Just incredible! However if you have not read 10 yet you need to! Trust me! This book is visual and complex not only with the characters and the way they are written it is also with the story itself. I love the chemistry and comradery that these characters exude. Exceptionally written and Spectacularly delivered!

This book takes place 5 years after the novellette Ten and I personally think it is best to read that one first.

Olivia "Heartbreaker" Badilla has just opened up PINK and is doing well but with her brother Marcus back in town she really doesn't know what she is up against. She tries to keep her staff and clients safe but it appears that her brother has really gotten himself messed up with the wrong crowd.

To complicate matters even more Lucas comes back to town for the first time in 5 years and things begin to get uncomfortable as Olivia is finally at a good place with Pru McNealy. Is it worth losing a relationship, especially that it may also affect Madi?

This is such a great book and I am loving the beginning to this series! There is so much to be explored and I can't wait!!

I just love Olivia and how she is desperately trying to hold everything together when so much is at stake for her - with her brother, Madi and Lucas. She is strong yet knows she is not always strong enough.

I really like Lucas and glad that he has been such an amazing support for Olivia during everything she is going through. The stuff where he was trying to protect her but she made the decision was getting me teary eyed as I understood what was happening but didn't agree in some ways but really did in others!!

Loved this book and seriously can not wait for the next one as each of the characters have so much possibility!!

Age is just a number! I really love Lucas and how he was so determined to make Heartbreaker love him. She was putting up such a fight and he just did not give up! There are some pretty action packed scenes in this book and I really enjoyed reading! I really recommend reading Ten before Nine, just so you can get the background on the characters.

I first started this series by reading the Novelette Ten and it led right into this story great. I would recommend reading Ten first so you get the background information and you will start this book up to date ready to jump into the story. Lucas is back and he is going after Heartbreaker. While this story is a lot about Lucas trying to get Heartbreacker to fall in love with him since hes nine year younger its really hard for her. But age isn't all they have against them. Marcus is back and of course he causing problems. This book is really well written with a great plat and well developed characters that it will keep you wanting to read to find out heat happens next. One of the things I love about how this is written is the characters are not your average normal people. The tight bond and humor the share I find really entertaining. Now I cant wait till I can get my hands onto the next book!!
