Being in the World

Rate this book
Being in the World explores how to be on a spiritual path while dealing with life's challenges. Topics include life task, karma, time, incarnation, aging, death, money, the environment, religion, imagination, and beauty. From the Throughout history, there have been many visions for a better world. We can sense how beautiful it could be. Although enlightened activism is needed, it is the bringing forth of the beauty of our being that is the key to creating a beautiful world. This is being in the world. The more we resist the world, the more unpleasant it is for us, whereas the more we are truly in the world, the more beautiful we experience it to be. What better vocation is there than to bring the beauty of our being into the world?

A good read

There are many good points that are made about life that are very helpful in navigating this existence with lots of wise advice. I liked that the questions and answer portions gave it a kind of "channeled" flavor. Not many new revelations in this one if you've been investigating this line of teaching before but it's still a good read.
