Eleven teenagers. Eight planets. Seven Keys. One wronged queen.

When Annabelle Garcia and her friends find themselves mysteriously on another planet, they learn that they may only return to Earth after retrieving seven magical Keys for queen Mayra of Eden, who has been stripped of her crown and accused of murdering her husband. With reluctance, Anna and her friends accept Mayra’s offer, but the secrets being kept threaten to tear them apart. An impossible mission, the odds are stacked against them in every way. If they aren’t careful, our heroes and heroines will be pushed to the limits of the psyche, become enemies of nature, and if they’re caught by anyone, they face a high possibility of execution.

Danger lurks around every corner in the form of nightmares and monsters too vile for the worst of humans to endure. But with their combined skill and wit, and a little bit of luck, the crew just might be able to succeed and return home.

A highly imaginative novel that pushes the boundaries of fantasy, this is a tale that can only be described as epic.

I wrote this novel so I'm obligated to give it five stars tehehe. In my own opinion, it's got a perfect mix of action, fantasy, romance, and humor. Plus, there's Sam Harrison, who may be the best character ever created. This is the first of a duology and I'm eagerly awaiting book two... Which I have the responsibility of writing!

So I decided to read this book cause I saw the passion and devotion the author had for this book and I really wanted to support an indie author. This book had a promising synopsis and an amazingly diverse cast of characters that really pushed me over the edge to read it. I did really enjoy this book but it wasn't all there for me. I felt like the plot moved along very fast and it felt like it was missing important details and world building. The characters were definitely the best part of this book because it was just easy to enjoy their story or relate to them. I feel like their development is something that will and should be explored in later books.

So if anyone is looking to support a self published indie author, this book is right here!

Bottom line I think that it is important to support indie and authors and books with more diversity, like this one. So keep on writing and improving L, I am excited to see where you can take your writing.

(Sorry this review is meh, I am still learning how to review and puts my thoughts in writing eloquently.)

Honestly, I just finished reading this- and this is literally my first time ever writing a review so I'm sorry if this is bad ahead of time - but this book just brutally murdered me in the best way. To the point I literally screamed to my friends the whole time I read it and am trying to convince them all to read it at the moment.

I'm going to start off by saying there is a lot of characters - and while this is not always a good thing, L. Taylor did a wonderful job with every single of one these characters. All of the children in this book I love heart and soul - they're developed, which is something that doesn't always happen when a bunch of characters are added - and each one has ran off with a chunk of my heart.

This is not one of those books that hook you from page one - at least in my experience, but it's well worth reading - as you will get hooked, and you will be on the edge of your seat. The rain scene is beautiful - and my brother asked me if I was okay while Chapter Nineteen because I made distressed noises out loud (I don't want to spoil, but once you get attached to these characters - this book gets to be very emotional in the best way.)

The way the diversity in the book is done is incredible too - none of these characters are "token characters." I admit, I was slightly worried before I started reading- but my fears were completely unjustified.

All in all, I recommend this book whole heartedly - to the point I made a Goodreads account so I could leave a review in a place people will actually see it. L. Taylor did an incredible job, and I can not wait for the day I'll be able to get my hands on War.

I really didn't expect to like this one...

But I'm really glad I went ahead and continued reading after I stopped at page 1. I really liked this story of teenagers embarking on a rather strange adventure under duress, sure but an adventure nonetheless.
At first, it was REALLY hard to keep track of all of the characters and form images of them in my head, since, you know they are ELEVEN of them. But I got the hang of it later on.
Since I always look for book with LGBTQIA+ characters and books with POC, Epic was a very satisfying read. I would definitely recommend it and I can't wait for the conclusion!

I've wanted to read this book ever since L. started promoting it on tumblr, so... here are my thoughts on it:
1- So, first of all, English isn't my mother lenguage, and this is the first book I ever read in english. I thought it was going to be hard, but Leight's writing was easy to read, and there aren't any unnecesary complicated words. 100% would recommend for begginers.
2- There are a lot of characters. At first, it was hard to tell who was who (so MANY names), but then you get used to it. They are all equally developed. Obviously, they give a little more importance to Anna, she is the main character, but every character gets their backstory, and you get to know them, at least a little.
3- It's a little slow at times, but near the end everything starts to... HAPPEN.
I don't usually write reviews and I'm not good at it but well I had to try. Final conclusion: Read it, you will not regret it.

I quite enjoyed Anna's character, having vibed with her right away. I also like the fact that the story does feel like an epic adventure, so the title is very appropriate. It was easy to imagine some scenes as a film as well, especially the final chapter. That was the easiest to visualize for me, and I always like that in a book.

Good job, L!
