When she was nineteen, she learned that she was the Keeper of the Boards, and her life has been filled with magic and mayhem ever since. With Simon Monk, she continues to travel the world and learn about the Boards of Babylon. She believes that sharing her story with others is important and plans on continuing to do so for as long as she can....
The entire series was well planned out and very interesting, and although I found many errors that made reading it a bit difficult at times, I actually enjoyed it. Disappointed with the ending, but enjoyed the last book. The first book, keeper of the winds, was still my favourite, it was fast paced and interesting. I found the 2nd, keeper of the water, boring but it picked up in the last two books. A cute little story overall.
This is one of those hidden gems. The entire series is so utterly magical and surprisingly unique. Even though the writing itself is incredibly underwhelming, and there are some -ok many- cliches, this book stays with you and haunts your dreams. It is fresh, vivid, adventurous and fantastical. I love this series and even though I read it years ago, it feels like yesterday.
OH, I was mad when I got done with it. I was completely horriable and it ruined the rest of the books for me. plus, I ended up crying at the end. I never cry, but it was sad and depressing and ruined my faith in hunmandy. errrrrrr!!!!
I just finished reading this book again. Now that I have read the series of books that lead up to this book. the story is intense. Jenna loses many of her closest friends and family, it ends aith her almost losing herslf. It is really deep. I am glad that I read it as a series.
This was one of the first book series I ever read. And tbh, since then I have read it once or twice more. It was so long ago that I barely remember how it was written, I just know that I enjoyed it. It made me cry and laugh and it did captivate me. Just... ya know, in 2006, when I was... 13. :/
Since the author is now MIA, I don't expect a sequel even if there was supposed to be one. After killing off a main character like that, I don't really want to read any more anyway.
