A good introduction to Waldorf thinking, parenting and teaching, as told by a Waldorf teacher. A quick and easy read.

Foster’s book is a great read for several reasons. One, it is short and concise. If you have or care for small children, it’s nice to be able to pick up and put down something that improves your brain. That said, I read the entire thing in just two sittings, because it was so interesting. For another, she answers questions that you may have about Waldorf education, about how to be a teacher in a Waldorf setting, or how to implement some of these ideas in your home with your own children. Finally, Foster offers multiple points of view, and explains her reasoning. For more of my review, visit http://www.waldorfbooks.com/item_1576...

This book answers questions that parents of children in Waldorf early childhood programs might have. It is also pertinent information for students of Steiner education. After three years of experience with Waldorf education - as a student and parent, I was nevertheless able to learn a few things from this easy-to-digest, accessible little book. I plan to recommend it to other parents at our upcoming Kindergarten class meeting.
