In Interactive Preaching, Bond describes a way of preaching that engages the congregation. He provides four models of interactive preaching. I like the idea of engaging the congregation. However, the book spent far too much time dealing with psychological issues that only tangentially related to the topic. There were passages that suggested wildly insane practices (e.g., reframing alcoholism as a loving act). The sermon examples were largely shallow on all levels. And the responses given to questions by congregation members were equally trite and shallow. The theology in the sample sermons was often questionable. In the end, the book was a good argument for not utilizing Interactive Preaching, and that is disappointing.
