I live in KY with my family. While I hold a "real job" my first love will always be writing.
I enjoy lots of different kinds of books, and many different authors. Some of my favorites are, but not limited to, Sandra Hill, Lori Foster, Kelly Armstrong, Stephen King, James Patterson, J.R. Ward and Emma Holly. But I think I would read just about anything with a good plot.

Okay, It is probably not fair to rate this book so low since I only read it because I had to for a challenge and I knew I would not really like because of the graphic sex scenes and silly romance, however that is not really why I did not like it. I thought it was poorly written ( I knew who did it by chapter 2) and the ending was so cliche.... well at least it was a quick read.

Great thriller

P. Mattern and Danielle James did a great job of making me think I knew who the bad guy was and then throwing things in the mist to confuse me. Great characters, a few spelling errors but nothing that took away from the story. I wish I had Lita Banks ability to write 4000 words in an hour. Is that even possible?

Gripping and full of suspense!

Kat, a best-selling author, couldn't be more excited to meet her friend, confidante and beta reader who had helped her plot out several books through their online and phone communication. Meeting Amy at the airport in St. Louis for her big book signing was the highlight of her trip, along with the walking sex-on-stick, named Jesse. However things never turn out quite as planned....
That's only the beginning...Throughout this story, my heart raced, I was scared to death and nearly jumped out of my seat reading several scenes. I felt the heartbreak of the characters, their pain, their fear, triumphs and happiness. It's so well written, as a reader you feel as if you're cast in the book as a side character, hanging on for the ride. It was both chilling and frightening as these very things could happen in real life. My heart's still pounding, even though the book ended beautifully.
Fan Girl is both well developed and well written. I was completely entranced from beginning to end. I highly recommend reading this book. It's definitely a five-star, must-read!

THRILLER!
April 15, 2019

D. James and P. Mattern have written the best psychological thriller that I have read in a long time. They do a great job of keeping the suspense and the love stories at an almost unbearable level. You will find yourself right in the middle as Kate, Amy (her FB best friend) and Jesse ( her new boyfriend) try to find out who is physically and mentally scaring her to the point that she is beginning to think she is going crazy. This is truly a page turner. You won’t put it down until you find out who the culprit is! Watch out because fame comes with a high price and Kate found out the hard way, Grab this book today, you will love it. I did!

Best contemporary stalker novel I have read! P. Mattern and Danielle team up in writing that will keep you on the edge of your seat and not put it down until finished! You literally have to know what's next! The characters, description and detail is genius writing at it's best! Perfect for YA and adult readers. So good it I wish I could give it 10 stars!!!!

3 stars because I kind of enjoyed certain parts of the story. I did not like Kat. And for the most part I could tell the difference in writing between the two author's

Every authors nightmare is right!!

Geesh, the paranoia I felt as a reader was enough for me to have a stiff drink or two while reading this. The intensity that P Mattern and Danielle James created in this book is insane, but at the same time I found myself laughing at the craziness of it all. Because, in all honesty, this could happen to anyone in the book industry.

I kept thinking I had it all figured out and then I was thrown for a loop as unfortunate events plagued Kat and her friends. The poor woman was on the brink of a mental breakdown with the stress of it all.

Try to figure it out for yourself and I will garuantee you will biting your nails from the suspense, gasping at the horror, needing some tissues for the heartbreak, and maybe a visit or two to the shower to cool off from some steamy scenes!

I loved Fan Girl, because it was so different than anything I have ever read. The main character is an Author, who has one of the biggest fan's ever of her books. This lady blogs for her and does everything that a fan would do for an author they loved. She starts taking matters into her own hands to keep everyone away from her favourite author, and this is when the trouble begins. I gave it 4* because the author in this book felt uneasy at times, but never questioned her gut instinct. It was a great read.

a psychological thriller about how it feels to be a well known Author. The fans that come with that fame. Good fans are awesome to have they read your books, show up at signings, worship you, adore you, stroke your ego, make you feel wonderful about your gift, and even love you from afar. And sometimes they become obsessed stalkers that want to own you or kill you. You decide.
A great read written by phenomenal writers! Definitely recommend!!! 5 Stars

I'm going to have a book hangover for a little while. So much excitement super thrilling, sadistic, scary, so many feelings. It's very creepy to read as a book fan who keeps in contact with their favorite authors on facebook. It really makes you wonder who is out there lurking, chills.

While I am not a fan of the style that this book was written in (it's just a personal preference), I enjoyed the trip these two authors took their readers on into their world. The wild nights at cons, the cattiness, and yes, the somewhat obsessed fans. The material was exaggerated, of course, to rev-up the drama. But it could happen, and that's what makes this thriller thrilling.
