Their aunt's attorney insists that the girls meet him at the property to discuss the specifics of the will. When the sisters arrive for the meeting, they discover that there is more...much more to the will than just inheriting a home.

Will the Sweet sisters turn tail and run or will they stick around to help solve the murder?

Sweet Southern Sleuths cozy Mystery Series is just a great collection of short stories that feature Loretta and Lacy Sweet. They are brought to the town of Misery Mississippi. They have inherited a home and a little side business. Did I mention that they have the knack of solving mysteries?

In the best most fun and laughable way they solve these mysteries. There is also Uncle Ichabod and he always add to the mix nicely. I absolutely love the southern names of the characters. No matter how odd, they are genuinely souther. I even know someone named Vernice. These 12 stories are really a fun read and a really great collection.

The police even have noticed the sisters pinchon for finding bodies. There are small town mobsters and the police (especially Phil) are active and interesting to Loretta and Lacy. These mysteries are well written and fun to read. I loved being able to read twelve stories one after another.

I enjoy the way Hope Callaghan writes. She writes so that you keep up with the mystery and still are surprised at the end result. These 12 stories are perfect for a quick read following the lives of the Sweet sisters.

misery

The town of Misery sure has its share of deaths and Loretta is determined to solve each one. Quite the different type of story I like the fact that Hope can tell an interesting story and make it a short read. Two totally different twins an uncle who came with their inheritance and a trailer park full of people to get to know. I liked all of the characters and the storylines in this book look forward to some more.

Sweet southern slueths was a great read

This miniseries was a great read because each book was short, and could be read quickly. The series was great since you could keep reading until you decided to stop. These were hilarious stories with the twins and their friends. I can't wait to read more!

Loads of fun!

These are short stories, not full novels, but don't dismiss them because of it. They are humorous and a satisfying read. I really like the fact that they're not just murder mysteries, but puzzles to solve. I want to keep these to read over again.

Will there be more

Are there only 12 short stories to this series? I want to know what happens next! Why does Uncle Ickabod call Savanna Sahara? What's going on with Alex and Loretta? How was the party? Come on Hope! I need some closure! :-)

Sweet and Sour (or at least not so sweet)

Lacy and Lorretta Sweet are twins. Lorretta is a sweetheart. Lacy, not so much. Murder and mayhem seem to follow them, but Lorretta is up to the task! Fun quick read with Hope's usual twists and turns.

A cozy collection suitable for everyone.

No sex scenes or graphic violence. Just a bit of mystery, romance & humor.
Loretta and her Sister Lacy inherit a trailer park, a teepee park, their aunt's husband, his caretaker Savannah & a host of problems including a body in the tub, in the first book....Teepees & Trailer Parks.
In Bag of Bones a skeleton pops up in the park leaving Loretta, her uncle Ichabod & their tenant Savannah to find out who and why.
In Southern Stalker, Loretta's waitress friend Fancy is being stalked & threatened, so the sisters & Uncle Ichabod investigate why.
Two Settle The Score has the girls chasing after Uncle Ichabod & her friend Slim to Vegas, where Slim is up to no good with some shady characters.
Killer Road Trip finds Loretta on a tour bus trip to the Hoover Dam along with a body that she finds on the bus when it breaks down on the way.
Savannah's dog Barkley turns up missing in Pups In Peril and the girls track down the clues.
The local B&B, formerly a funeral home, has a body in the gazebo that Barkley drags Loretta and Lacey to....and the police suspect that they are involved.
In Deadly Drive-In, the concession stand explodes with a body inside during a scavenger hunt and the mayor's wife points the finger at Loretta.
A young girl living on the street pulls on Loretta's heartstrings in Secrets Of A Stranger, so she gives her food, a job and refuge in a teepee...only to find out that the young teen was protecting her younger brother from an abusive father. Between Loretta and Officer Gatlin, the youngsters are reunited with a loving aunt who was frantically searching for them.
Library Lockdown....there's a body behind the library and the finger is pointing at Lacy.
Loretta's block party for the residents at her parks in Vandals and Vigilantes is in an uproar due the vandalism they must investigate and solve quickly. Hopefully the cameras in the clubhouse will help.
There's a body in the pool in Fatal Frolic so the party's on hold until the investigation is over. The girls and Uncle Ichabod collect the clues and find out why.
A fun series of short tales with great interaction between the characters

Identical twins, with unidentical personalities, Loretta & Lacy Sweet, received an inheritance from their late aunt Tess. They thought she had left them a southern plantation in the city of Misery Mississippi. Instead it turns out to be a trailer park, teepee park, large house & uncle Icahbod!
The day they arrived in Misery, they met uncle Icahbod who just found a dead body in the bath tub.
Let the adventures begin!!
Each book in this series is a different cozy mystery. They are fun clean reads that you will enjoy.
I received Sweet Southern Sleuths set from Hope Callaghan in exchange for an honest review, which is easy to do because she is a great author. If you like cozy mysteries, then I recommend you check out her other series also.

Trailers, tepees, and twins. A fun summer read at 35 cents per mystery. Hope Callaghan does not disappoint with the Sweet Southern Sleuths Cozy Mysteries Series set in MISERY, Mississippi. Twins Loretta and Lucy Sweet inherit not only a tailer park with tepees, but sweet Uncle Ichabod. Hope Callaghan also writes two senior citizen sleuth mystery series: the Garden Girls and Cruise Ship series.
