Rate this book
It can be difficult to find the time and means by which we can reinforce our values and practice the principles of our faith. One way of connecting to our spiritual selves or a higher power is through an essential oils practice, by making their soothing and sanctifying properties a part of daily routine.

In Biblical times, essential oils were used for everything from holy ceremonies to everyday needs. Today, we can harness the all-natural power of essential oils to calm, purify, and heal our bodies and homes. Essential Oils of the Bible is written at the intersection of science and spirituality, allowing the benefits of both to infuse your spiritual essential oils practice.

Profiles of 30 essential oils of the Bible, each beautifully illustrated and featuring a verse in which it's mentioned
Oil profiles that specify medicinal properties and uses, precautions, and complementary or substitute oils
75 common needs for essential oils--from flu and muscle pain to kitchen care--and 150 simple remedies and recipes
A handy list of oils in Scripture, noting book, chapter, and verse for each

Este libro es muy interesante ya que su autor se basó en el estudio de la biblia, registrando donde se menciona el uso de los aceites esenciales, e indica que e mencionan al menos 200 veces en este escrito.

Bible oils

Not accurate. Does not make difference between therapeutic grade essential oil and just oils. She does not list any reputable oil sellers. Her information is outdated in many cases. It is not a good oil book. Healing Oils of the Bible by D Stewart is much better and explains the oils, use, where to find the oils and how to use them. She does mention praying over oils which is good. Also should pray while putting oils on. I would suggest you read other books for better information.

I really liked the sections where she looked at where the different plants were mentioned in the Bible and how oils were used. However, I didn't like the emphasis that using essential oils daily can replace our need to be in the Bible every day and the praying over the making of the recipes and use of them seemed too spiritualist to me. And yet, there are a number of recipes that I plan on trying. Overall, I'm not really sure where to stand on this book spiritually or practically.

A very good reference book. Talks about the history of essential oils and tells you in the Bible where the various oils are mentioned and how they were used. There is no doubt that essential oils were sent by God to help us stay healthy. If you are an essential oil user, you need this book to give you more depth in understanding the power of the oils.

Great information

I learned so much more about the oils of the Bible and how to use them for anointing. I already use them daily, but have never known how to use them for anointing. I knew the most common oils from the Bible, but not all of the oils. Lots of great information.

This was a great breakdown of the essential oils and what they do and how to combine them based around biblical teachings. I found this very helpful as someone new to combining my own essential oils.

Inaccurate/outdated information. There are much better “intro to oils” and “oily DIY” books out there. Skip this one.

Having already read Essential Oils and Aromatherapy: An Introductory Guide and a few others, I was glad to expand my knowledge of oils with Essential Oils of the Bible. Although more spiritual than religious these days, I grew up in the church reading Scripture so I was very curious as to how I would like this book. Overall I really enjoyed delving further into the connection between oils in biblical times.

In the first chapter, the spiritual correlation between the bible and oils is discussed as well as modern practical uses. The second, which is probably my favorite, talks about how oils work to heal, what adaptogens are and which oils contain these properties as well as which to avoid. The scientific aspects really interrested me as I learned useful terms such as bulking in which the oil quailty is lessened by using the last years crop to reduced price. Chapters 4 and 5 go over the 30 oils from the bible and a list of aillments and remedies for them. The wonderful references in the back also insure you'll have all you need for your endeavors.

I received this in exchange for a fair and honest review.
