If You Can Keep It: Why We Nearly Lost It & How We Get It Back

Rate this book
In If You Can Keep It, Robin Koerner, founder and publisher of WatchingAmerica.com and the original Blue Republican, explains why 'We the People' have done such a poor job at keeping our Republic. He presents an utterly original account of American politics that cuts through the prevailing political paradigm of conservative vs. liberal to help us see not only why we've come so close to losing our nation's founding promise, but also how we can get it all back.

It has a way of putting very obvious things in terms as if they are revelations. The sentiments are good but also have their limits.

"Many activists mistake purism for standing on principle, & by making that mistake, ensure that their principles will never be realized"
This is just one quote from this awesome book by Robin Koerner. I'm recommending it. It actually has something to offer to all liberty-lovers. But also to ordinary citizens who want to understand the media. The first chapter teaches about the PSYCHOLOGY of how media works in ways I've never thought of before.
The middle chapters are (MOSTLY) understood by most of the politically educated.
However, the last chapters are KEY and a must-read for everyone here. It was mentioned on the show but expanded on in the book. You must buy it!
I always found that certain immigrants who lived/grew up in a different country always had a better perspective on what is different about America. What is right or wrong with it. And Robin does offer a fresh paradigm
