Hurtling away into the Void, this time on his small fighter, Jayden leaves behind one friend he calls a brother, hopefully returning to someone he’s always been afraid to call a boyfriend.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Jayden is not just a Benecote, he has to be a Skandar. He and Alex are getting along fine until Alex's plane is damaged by the Lizare and Jayden becomes Commander. They draw apart, which is sad.
