[Siren The Lynn Hagen ManLove Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, vampires, shape-shifters, HEA] Created two thousand years ago by Santoro Marcellino, Matteo has known nothing but carnage and savagery. It is only after Matteo kills his maker that he discovers his blood must be purified every five hundred years. The problem is, the purification can be done only by a descendant of his maker. With time running out, Matteo must find a descendant before he suffers the bloodless death. When the package starts bleeding, Paris is forced to the penthouse of the Don of the Vegas mafia. Paris thinks he's about to die, but a contract is offered and a bargain is struck. All Paris has to do is survive a vampire feeding from him for the next thirty days and he'll be rich beyond his wildest imagination. If life was only that easy. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
I love vampire stories as much as hot cowboy stories and this one did not disappoint. Right from the beginning I was hooked and just wanted to keep reading, but also didn't want to read too fast because then it would be finished and I knew the next one is not out and don't know when it will be. It was an interesting take on the long life of vampires. There is so much more to explore with these brothers and I am looking forward to it.
This book is a lot different from MS Lynn Havens other books but it is so freaking awesome!!!!! That's just one reason I love her books its also double the word count!!!! As said this book is awesome the characters are great and work well together the brothers are so very sexy & hot but the shenanigans that Paris & Skye get into are hilarious especially the fire alarm showers!!! Can't wait for Lucia no & Skye's!!!! Thank you so much - Lori
I loved this book. It's a great start into the series. Good to see that the author can also do longer stories. I'm pretty undecided which story I want to read next, Luciano & Skye or Nico & Devin. I think the latter...Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the next one.
3.5 ⭐ First book I'm reading about M/M, but I have been reading books about M/F/M before and I suppose that was fine for me. I did like it, suspense, love and a little bit sensuality. I didn't think Gay-themed books handle so much drama. I don't think I will read this kind of novels in a long time. Sorry I cant.
This is one of those rare times where my review is days later..
Overall, I like it. I was surprised by the length of it too. Besides the Rise of the Changlings series, as far as I know this is the only other 'long' book. Something to be said for not trying to cram it all in into 100 so pages.
Matteo's development with the addition of the latest descendant wasn't too bad. Not rushed. But not perfect by any means. Perhaps more background on the hows would have been nice. We know Santore created them and that there is a flaw that makes them need to purify their blood. But I also got the impression that Santore was around for quite a while before Matteo offed him. And WHY did Matteo off him? Was he actually a bad person or in a savage long lasting phase was that when Matteo killed him? And if purifying the blood actually hurts while happening, why did Matteo only seem a little bit in distress?
More questions I have... If Nico is all about his Dylan and other brother (forgot his name) seems to be into Skye, how is that going to work if they aren't descendants when its time for their purification, in about 200 years? Ya know, since the boys got some blood transfusion from the vamps that makes their lives extend... Matteo said so.
And HOW do you make vampires if not by giving them blood?
How many of these questions will be answered in the next installment?
Ugh, insta-love and ... just ... hardly any worldbuilding? Character building? Everyone just seems to reel from one disaster to the next. It felt like it had potential to be great, if edited tightly and very much rounding out the characters to be more than they were. Like, Matteo is angry and all kill the things. So is Nico, Luciano, etc -- and we get to see enough of them you knew that the next books would be about them. (Not that the title was a hint or anything.)
I couldn't make myself finish it and the second half I forced myself to read... and finished at 75% without intention of picking it up again.
I honestly couldn't put this book down, Paris was so loveable and incredibly relatable while I also really felt for Matteo. To be honest all the characters were great and I really want to read more about the brothers! Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read more in the series!
No me sentía muy cómoda leyendo temática gay, aunque antes había leido material bisexual, creo que fue por ser el primer libro de esta temática o la autora, por el momento no leeré de esta categoría, lo que no quiere decir que no lea en otro momento.
