M.J. Fields what can I say? Thank you. I mean, I really feel like that's what needs to be said here. You continue to astound me at every turn. It really shouldn't come as a surprise to me quite honestly you are one of the greatest authors in our generation. Believe me this isn't something that I say lightly. Praise is only given when its deserved and my dear it's deserved. Imperfectly Matched is sheer magnificence the entire series was.
Imperfectly matched picks up exactly where we left off last book. Kat who was almost torn apart by that magical mountain man Ricco is interrupted by her sister. What does my snarky girl do? Well, what she does best shoves his hot sexy ass out the window. Every glorious inch . . . and there are lots of them. Inches that is ;). This storyline is so incredible it gives you every range of emotion you can think of. I love how it's real, raw, and down to earth. It's something each and every one of us can connect with or have dealt with in some way shape or form in our lives. Kat has to learn to grow and take on more responsibility while Ricco (did I mention how sexy he was?) is dealing with his own mountain of issues. Yet we find ourselves glued to the pages of this fantastic story waiting to find out what happens with these two. Because no matter how hard she tries to fight it she has a connection with him and his daughter.
I love Kat's character. I swear she's my spirit animal. I'm convinced M.J. Fields was channeling me when she wrote this book. Okay maybe not... but I'm telling you as a reader and a sarcastic wiseass you feel a connection with Kat from the very beginning and it draws you to her. The moment she opens up and you start to see the other side of her you get that glimpse into what she looks like when she's free from everything. I love how caring she is and bonds with others (in her own way) she really is a character that you just fall in love with.
Ricco. Oh, Ricco. His character that growly domineering alpha male that just melts your panties off the moment he rumbles in your ear. Ricco has so much depth and I'm not just talking about his magical unicorn of a cock either. Don't get me wrong 12 inches of that magical unicorn is enough to have any girl screaming bring it on big boy. However, you have all the catty chicks that clearly want to use him for the magical unicorn or for one thing or another. But he's deeper than that there is so much more to him. You just have to be able to see past all of the arrogance and cockiness. Which honestly really is just confidence in his ability to be himself.
This book is not only full of emotion and depth but comedy as well. I swear I almost choked on my water (coughs...wine) so many times throughout this story. It will have you tearing up and laughing until your sides are hurting. But in the end this incredible story will warm you to no end.
So, M.J. Fields thank you once again for gracing us with your brilliant words. This story. No, This series was not only sinfully delicious it was hilariously entertaining and heart warming all at the same time. I can't wait to see what your brilliant mind cooks up next!

Imperfectly Matched (Book 2)

OMGAWD --- Okay so this book had my laughing because I freaking loved “The Cat” … Kat is a no holds barred no shit taking woman. YUP! It was brilliant. What a great read of a strong female lead knowing what she wants and not having a filter on her mouth. However I did go back and have to read Unsocially Yours: Match This and The Unsocial Dater in order to get the full realm of this book. I had not read it and when I realized I was missing something I backtracked so that I would be up to speed. After you know Katherine Ann Teresa Brun’s background this will make you laugh even harder at her sassy pants.
Side note: Now I have to go back and read her other series “Men of Steel” and “Ties of Steel” because these books are just too good – And the covers are better than awesome!
Imperfectly Matched picks up exactly where the first book ends. Kat is getting her ass handed to her by Ricco while suddenly interrupted by her sister. Shoving him out her window .. yes … out the freaking window she runs to find out why there is crying and consoling going on. Ricco’s daughter has showered in the wrong place and The Cat is going to be mad. OMG … LOL!
Ricco is so dreamy for one, he is a single father for two and he knows just how to handle his women or woman. When you peel his layers back there is so much to love about this man. His magical unicorn … its in high demand … bwwwaaahhhhh! He and his daughter are to die for. Natalia is adorable. And Ricco is so giving he leaves Papa Smurf with Kat. HAHAHAHAHA! Oh you have no idea.
You also have Zack and Marcus bantering back and forth which is awesome in itself as well. A Venus Fly Snatch ... I can't even .... I really can't!
This book has it all – hilarious moments, deep emotions and points to show us that life can send us huge curve balls and somehow we not only manage survive but we end up owning it. Forever Steel needs more books. There is more to these characters stories and I need to hear them.
These three books are really great reads that will have you laughing and wanting more. I took these along to the beach and loved every minute of them. Usually if Tracy and I get a book that is not the first book in a series or if we have not read the first books we will ask to get them before continuing. I took it upon myself to snatch the other two previous books up without asking because the first few pages I read from Imperfectly Matched were that good.
Thank you for the ARC -- MJ. I need more of this. Send whatever else over and I will read it and review it with a smile on my face! Otherwise Im going to go grab them up anyway!

Imperfectly Matched by MJ Fields picks right up where Match This left off. We find Kat and Ricco trying to figure out how to work with each other and screw on the side.
Kat’s been screwed over by men before, so she has no interest in commitment or love. Ricco has been screwed over more times than he can count, so he just wants to screw and be screwed without all the other stuff, so for him, Kat is perfect. There's a little problem though neither of them saw coming and she's three years old.
So, I freaking love Kat! She can be badass when she needs to be but soft and sweet when needed as well. She's has no intention of falling for Ricco, but who wouldn't fall for a muscular, tattooed, hottie! Ricco is the guy every girl wants. He's great with his baby girl and better with his….well, you know. I loved this book, just like all of MJ’s books. I love the twists, the turns, and the hot, hot, hot sex! I see Ricco being another book boyfriend for me. I hope we get a follow up on these two. This story is to awesome to end here.

Where to start... Where to start? Kat is the product of when love fails you, of when being loyal to the wrong dick changes you, and of when you make a promise to never cry over a jerk again. She dug deep to erase a part of herself that allowed people to hurt or use her. In doing so, she's survived but can she survive Ricco? Ricco is a survivor himself and has brought the most beautifully precious gift into this world, Natalia. A gift he will always treasure and protect until his dying breath even from her family. With all their drama filled lives, histories, Forever Steel and sex life: will they find a balance or succumb to the chaos? MJ Fields has made me cry, cuss, swoon, and fall in love with her characters in all of her series but Kat has always held a special place in my heart. Kudos MJ kudos, my heart is full right now absolutely full! ❤

OK, so I learned about Kat's baggage and maybe why she behaved the way she behaved... probably her attitude was better than suicide or something similar... still, unlike the previous book, I felt that there lots of holes in the story and with increasing number of pages this feeling grew - I suppose if I read the Steel saga I would understand this book more and probably enjoyed it more too. Towards the end, the book and the style started to remind me of books by Kristen Ashley - in terms of non-verbal commands, alpha males and lots of sex scenes. Nothing against those but once you read one or two, you read them all. To sum it up, it wasn't bad and wasn't a waste of money but I hoped for more.

Good lord “Imperfectly Matched” was hilarious! Mind you I didn't read the 1st book. But I still enjoyed it! I still can not get those snarky innuendos out of my mind.
Let's say that “Imperfectly Matched” is the perfect mix of sex, sass, banter and sweet! You can't go wrong with a book that puts a smile on your face.

Imperfectly Matched! starts off right where Match This! ends (YES! the window..NO! you didn't imagine it). Co-Workers/Business partners...Sorta Friends...that's all they were. When Sexy BadAss Kat and equally Sexy BadAss Ricco start to see each other in a different light, the sexual chemistry is off the charts hot!! Can they both leaving their feelings at the door?! They both think so, sometimes outside forces think otherwise <3 <3

I couldn't wait to read more of Kat & Ricco and wasn't disappointed. Ricco knows want he wants, it's Kat who has to realize that what they have could be forever. I love seeing the Steel men and I gotta say Natalia stole the show. I love how she keeps saying my Cat and the showered was hilarious. Another amazing book that I couldn't put down

Kat is like my hero/mentor. I would so love to hang with her and be besties. She's kickass smart, funny and the Queen of witty sarcasm. I'm in awe of her.

Kat is completely off her rocker and I loved it
Feisty kat,witty and hilarious this second part conclusion did not disappoint.
"This smile is brought to you by the chick whose fictitious balls just shriveled up because the one fuck I still have goes to my sister"
Told in dual pov's mainly Kat's with her online dating chat and witty comebacks. The whole plot is Kat's daily life as a Tattoo artist her employees and her partner Rico and the main and important part of the plot getting laid.
Rico is a single dad, the attraction is there for Kat the big elephant in the room is she hates kids.
"I am everything she has tried to avoid and everything she will ever need to make sass and sweetness morph into one"
Great read with a different a brilliant book for lifting your spirits and I highly recommend it for brightening your day, contemporary romance at it's best.

Alright MJ, you went ahead and threw in all the feels in this conclusion to Kat's story. She is still sassy and feisty but the sweet shone through.
Loved Ricco and how he just "got" her. He has had her figured out for awhile now, waiting for the right time, waiting for Kat to be ready for him. So happy he went for it when he did! If anyone could convince Kat she was worthy of love, it was going to be Ricco.
Lots of sweet moments in this one and some amazing lol times! Little Nat steals the scene every time. She had "the cat" wrapped around her finger from day one. It was also great to catch up on the whole Steel Brothers team. They all are family and made sure to let Kat know that she wasn't out there alone against the world.
Great come to Jesus, wrap up for Kat. So happy she got her HEA. Now, will we see more of the guys at Forever Steel? Or will we see more Macey and Stephanie? Who gets their HEA next? Doesn't matter. I'm reading it either way!

I'm so excited that I got to read Imperfectly Matched right after I finished Match This. I don't think I've had two books that I've enjoyed more.
After getting to know Kat and Ricco in Match This I definitely wanted more.
Kat protrays such a tough persona that she keeps people at a distance. I think she does it to protect herself from being hurt. Ricco sees right through her. It's not very often that you get someone that actually 'gets' you.
Kat's match ups through the Dating Website are absolutely hilarious. She is so snappy and fast with the comebacks. There are parts in this book that I had tears streaming down my face because I was laughing so hard.
Throw in Natalia, Ricco's sweet and precious little girl and this book is absolutely perfect.
Love that Ricco and Kat get their happily ever after.
I really hope that the author, MJ, continues with the stories of the other characters in these books. They helped make this book outstanding.

If I could shout from the rooftops about MJ Fields, I totally would! She delivered a sequel to Match This!, book one in the UnSocial Dater series, that was intriguing and entertaining. While I loved book one, book two completely blew it out of the park and gave me the perfect ending to Ricco and Kat. This duet was totally unexpected, but absolutely brilliant.
One again we are thrust back into Kat and Ricco's lives. Going in, I have a few pointers... (1) expect the unexpected; (2) be ready to laugh your a$$ off; (3) have a b.o.b. and fresh pair of panties on hand; and (4) get ready for lots and lots of feels. Ricco and Kat are gonna take you on a journey that will make you swoon and fall in love along the way.
I highly recommend this book and series.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
Funny, witty, touching, and oh so friggin HOT and still that doesn't even touch the depth of this duet.
I just FLOVE Kat and her "no f**ks given" attiitude. Yeah, it's a front but she owns and she does it well. I wanna to be her friend.
I wanna climb Mt. Ricco. Holy Shiznits, Ms. Fields! Ricco holds a spot on my BBF list and is one of my favorite male leads to come from that brilliant mind of yours.
Nat made me want to crawl into my kindle and squeeze the "showers" out of her. She was too damn adorable.
So whose story is next in the Steel world. I'm dying to know more about Zach, Josie, & Macey. Oh and maybe fast forward a few years and get a Darby story too. That's just the "Book Whore" in me wanting more from MJ Fields.
Funny, witty, touching, and oh so friggin HOT and still that doesn't even touch the depth of this duet.
I just FLOVE Kat and her "no f**ks given" attiitude. Yeah, it's a front but she owns and she does it well. I wanna to be her friend.
I wanna climb Mt. Ricco. Holy Shiznits, Ms. Fields! Ricco holds a spot on my BBF list and is one of my favorite male leads to come from that brilliant mind of yours.

What can I say Kat is a exceptional woman and I want to be her... Her online dating continues with "Imperfectly Matched!" Written by the great M.J. Fields better known from the "Men of Steel" novels. All I can say is watch out for the crazies when you try online dating LOL

Ive been a fan of Mjs for a long time & i have read every book she has published! Although ive read anout Kat & Ricco in other books i just never got so interested that i HAD to read their story. I have seen my mistake!! My lord i van not believe why ive waited!!! Ricco Ricco Ricco THE GOD of EVERY WOMANS FANTASY.... i need to apologize for missing out on you! I could not put these books down! I seriously started book one at 3:30am & finished them both (in between work & mom duty) at 9pm the same day! There are so many ups & downs, funny as hell, laugh out loud moments & tissue times that it's impossible to put the books down! Don't scroll! Do not wait to read this story you will be slapping yourself upside the head as i did! So so so good!!

Romance with attitude

Awesome follow up and ending!
I loved this book, this story and the overall series. Kat was a ball-busting bitch who would do anything for her girls and family, but Nat was her kryptonite. Ricco was a man's man that w did what needed to be done for his family. Loved their chemistry and dynamic as an odd family. Hopefully, Kat's mom will get a book or series.

Read for the B.A.N.G. Book Club 2022 Challenge - Pink on cover category
Unfortunately this book needs serious editing - two chapters are duplicated, quite a few words are run together. That's normally a deal breaker for me, but not even that could spoil this story for me. It just makes me happy.

Imperfectly Matched! by M.J. Fields is hilariously tragic, but finally an HEA that I can get behind. Any other would have been unfair to the damaged, snarky characters. I really enjoyed this series. Bring on the Steeles.

Once again MJ Fields made me laugh so hard, writing about the unsocial Kat and her bunch of crazy friends. In this one, a lot was happening to Kat, when I enjoyed seeing her revealing all the different sides of her personality. The badass, tough side was cracking up piece by piece.
Who can handle Kitty Kat? Because she’s definitely one of a kind.
Between crazy stalkers on dating apps, family, shadows of her past and a hot and domineering man, Kat had a lot on her plate. This girl was so stubborn and in denial at times that I was pleased she let her match! Someone who can manage her and seeing her like the amazing and beautiful woman is.
I really loved how the author succeeded to write not only a hilarious story, with the perfect blend of emotion, hot kinky sex and dirty talk. Very dirty. And a lot of toys are also involved!
Behind all the fun and dirty, we had to see the real Kat, tough but also so vulnerable, with this man and his kid who totally got her, even if she didn’t want to. It was very interesting to scratch the surface of this intriguing creature, who cussed, gave the middle finger a lot and had a thing for peens and unicorns!
It was definitely entertained! The interactions were off the charts and the characters on top! I was more into this part because seeing Kat finding love was priceless! An awesome and crazy adventure! Go Kat!! Woot Woot!

OMG!!!! What a great book by MJ Fields! This is the conclusion of Match This! and it continues on from where the first book left off. Lowrd have mercy! Kat is in for one wild ride!
I was really happy to see this book come across my kindle, and even happier that I didn't have to wait long for the conclusion of Kat story. While I didn't find this book to be as funny as the previous one, I did find that I liked seeing a softer side of Kat, they way she is with Natalia (love the name btw it's my baby girls name too) and how she lets the little girl into her heart, even after the shower incident. Who knew that the bad@ss tattooed chick could and would fall in love. Kat is still my idol, and I was completely thrown through the loop several time during the book. Let me just say Ricco's appointment planner was AWESOME! I might have to do that at work to gauge co-workers emotions. And don't get me started on the peen collection in this book, lets just say it will make you jealous. Last but not least, Rider1... Yep didn't see that once coming.
