Without warning of where or when they will occur. Big cities, small towns, and rural back roads. Sinister messages appear on computer screens across America, and that message is clear.
No one is safe…
- Not disgraced FBI agent Grant, awaiting his call back to the big time; - Not rapper Pal Joey, an international sensation; - Not savvy beauty Caitlin, the ultimate “Sin City” party girl; - Not even Naseem, the would-be martyr who helped plan the attacks.
An unhinged mastermind paralyzes a nation, and unlikely heroes must put aside their differences and forge an alliance to stop the attacks before the passing hours bring down a Nation.
All roads lead to Las Vegas. Can four people, united only by their hatred of a common enemy stop … Sabotage?
Dale Wiley is a Missouri attorney who has had a character named after him on CSI, owned a record label, been interviewed by Bob Edwards on NPR's Morning Edition and made motorcycles for Merle Haggard and John Paul DeJoria. He has three awesome kids and spends his days working as a lawyer fighting the big banks.
Had to keep running tally of characters and all the different names their were using. Kept wishing it was going to get better. Attacks around the states, mainly written what was going on in Las Vegas. Sex, killings, FBI, CIA and even the president are all in this story. After detailed descriptions of everything, but some of them didn't make any sense, suddenly ended.
Dale Wiley, whose previous novel was KISSING PERSUASIVE LIPS, is noted for rapid-fire suspense and taut tension, keeping reader's racing through the pages. In SABOTAGE, he creates a villain so cold he is almost otherworldly. The mastermind has planned nearly constant terroristic assaults throughout the United States. Nor does he settle for letting others at a distance perform his designated wet work. He murders up close and personal as well. A mere quartet of unlikely individuals to become heroes and heroines to sidetrack his plan to overcome.

This book grabbed me from the opening gambit right through to the climatic end!! It’s an epic crime thriller and the storyline really resonates with the world we currently live in. I’ve never had so many heart palpitations in my life, as the rollercoaster that is this story unfolds.
I really loved the short/quick chapters, which I felt really ramped up the drama and tension in the story. All the key players are seemingly unconnected, but there is no such thing as coincidence, is there?
It is without a doubt a book you need to go into blind so you can experience every revelation yourself. I am both in awe and slightly scared of the author’s imagination. The ‘baddie’ really make my skin crawl and for me, that’s saying something.
As a first time reader of Mr Wiley’s work, I can say he has earned a spot on my auto-watch list for upcoming releases!!

This was not my usual genre of book but the synopsis intrigued me and I'm so glad I read it. It's about terrorism and a baddie so evil and depraved he'll give you shivers. There are a lot of characters involved in the story but they in no way detract from your enjoyment in fact they keep you invested, you want to know more about them, how they will handle everything, will they stand together or run for cover. It may be a complex story but it is easy to follow the action, it kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning when all the wrong theories were swirling around in my head to the last page. A really enjoyable read, this won't be the last book by this author that I will read.
Pee in your pants anxiety. That's what I loved about this book. Always on the edge of your seat, waiting for another "Boo!" Challenges the intellect with the twists and turns of the plot, but never leaves you with a "limpy". Dale Wiley is a writer to watch. Can't wait for the next one!!! Keep me intrigued, Dale! You are the master! No one can put the mo-jo on a metaphor and a plot like you can, brother!
This was my first read from Dale Wiley and it was great. His writing is thrilling and captivating. With all that is going on in the world it was scary and very realistic. He knows how to keep you reading with all the twists and turns. The multiple characters really keep you on your toes and trying to guess what happens next. This is a wonderful suspense thriller. * Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood*
I enjoyed this book! It was a nice departure from what I usually review! It had action, suspense, and I am a big fan of 'what it this could happen' in this day and age. The characters were well developed and the plotline was steady and layered. I never thought oh this couldn't happen. This is my first book by Dale Wiley, but it won't be my last!
Sabotage is an edge-of-your-seat thriller from beginning to end. The characters and their motives slowly come into focus as the plot unfolds. I haven't enjoyed a book this much in ages. Expect the unexpected!
Agent Grant Miller gets a bomb threat call from the bomber himself, and it sets a path where he must save the woman he loves and stop the mastermind of several terror attacks across the USA. This is a fast moving plot to keep up with.
actually a four-and-a-half star book, but what the hey! When I started reading it I was lost and confused and almost put it down, but I hung in for just more chapter and was rewarded. I would read other things by this author.
"Sabotage" was a good story. It accurately reflected today's world. The characters were believable. The plot efficiently carried through. Some character removals were pretty abrupt, sort of disrupting the flow. All in all the book was an enjoyable read.
4.5 stars! Good who done it coming in from multiple angles to get the bad guy. This truly makes you think about what would happen during terrorist attacks.
Fast-paced, complex plot...but don't get too attached to the characters...they are likely to die by the end of the scene. This is not a novel for the faint of heart as Dale Wiley does not shy away from blood and destruction. The plot twists and changing alliances keep readers turning the pages to discover the end to a terror plot like none other.
This is the first book that i have read from Dale Wiley but it certainly won't be the last! I really enjoyed his style of writing the flow was seamless and kept me engaged throughout, the novel is thought provoking and kept me intrigued even when i wasn't reading. This was a roller-coaster ride that never disappointed from beginning to end with twists and turns from the very first chapter. Sabotage is a novel about Domestic Terrorism in the United States Of America and how people can pull together at a time of crisis.
I really don't want to give to much away, i try to keep my reviews spoiler free as much as possible and i definitely will with this one as i feel this is a Must Read. What i will say is that this book covers everyone from different walks of life with Caitlin who's the party girl, Grant who is an FBI agent, Pal Joey who's an ex-drug dealer turned famous rapper and a multitude of side characters helping to unfold the story as we read along bringing us to the edge of our seats. I would highly recommend this adrenaline pumping thriller, this story gave me so much more than i was expecting, so expect the Unexpected and enjoy the ride!!! After reading Sabotage i will never look at terrorism the same way again!!

“Sabotage” eBook was published in 2015 (August) and was written by Dale Wiley. This is Mr. Wiley’s fourth novel.
I obtained a galley of this novel for review through https://www.netgalley.com. I would categorize this novel as ‘R’ as there are many instances of Violence and Mature Language. This Thriller novel is set in the contemporary US. There are a multitude of characters touched on in the story, with most being victims to a terrorist attack. What at first appears to be a jihadist attack on the US soon turns into something else. Bombings are taking place all over the US.
Most of the story centers around: Britt Vance, the twisted mind behind the devastation; Naseem the would be martyr, now seeking revenge on the man who had fooled so many; Grant Miller, the disgraced FBI agent; Pal Joey, the drug dealer turned rapper; and Caitlin the beautiful party girl. The lives of them all are intertwined.
The story was told in the unusual style of a lot of very short (some less than a page long) chapters. Much of the story concerns sideline characters that just happen to be in the in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is lots of action and suspense as the story unfolds. I enjoyed the 4.5 hours I spent with the novel and give it a 4.4 (rounded down to 4) out of 5.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and it is not my usual genre. I was very impressed with the storyline and how he weaves together a plot of terror and betrayal. In Sabotage, Dan Wiley gives us a villain that is both diabolical and intriguing. This mastermind manages to render the world's most powerful nation powerless by intricately using the hatred of its worst enemy against itself; using this conflict to achieve a personal goal. As the United States is brought to its knees as a result of numerous bombings that span the country during the course of one day, this story strikes at the heart of a very real fear we have living in today's world. Dale Wiley gives you a story with so many different players; revealing little by little the part they will all play. Mr. Wiley also gets inside the minds of the players and shows you the gray area that exists for these characters in terms of morality and loyalty. In the beginning, the author shifts from one character to another. The reader slowly will realize how intertwined these people all are. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys stories involving espionage, treason, and suspense.
Wiley delves into a realm of darkness in this novel that really makes me examine what it means to be human and have compassion. His novel follows a terrorist mastermind who makes my skin crawl a little bit with how detached he is from his own human nature. I read this novel with a slight distance between myself and the book because this man seemed so tangibly disconnected from compassion that it was similar to watching those interviews with people who’ve committed murder and have no remorse. Maybe that seems like a bad thing but to me it speaks to how talented Wiley is. He taps into the darker side of the human psyche effortlessly.
What’s amazing is that I really wanted to keep reading even after long shifts at my day job. It was one of those novels that occupied my mind even when I wasn’t able to read it.
Wiley, as always, is talented and managed to really connect with some great and dark themes. He inspires a kind of human fear in a society where terrorism is a very real occurrence and examines what could motivate such acts.
When I started reading this I thought it was going to be the first book I wouldn't be able to read. With everything that's going on in the world this shit was just far too real. I mean this could actually happen... but I persevered, and you know what I am really glad I did.
It's complex, and so much more is going on than what you first think. I haven't read a book like this in a long time and it was a nice change.
I really enjoyed it and have already recommended it to a few people who I know will enjoy this type on read. I loved the writing style, and how the author jumped to different characters with each chapter, even if they were inconsequential to the bigger part of the story.
Overall it was a really, really riveting read.
The only question i really keep asking...was this all done as a means of revenge? An attack on this scale?
This is my first book from Dale Wiley and I am now a huge fan. His style of writing is flawless keeping the reader engages and engrossed from start to finish. I was kept intrigued throughout with this rollercoaster ride of twists and turns. Considering the state the world this was very thought provoking as it covers domestic terrorism.
It's hard not to give away too much in this review as I want to rave about how good it is. This novel follows a terrorist mastermind who is cold and completely detached from humanity. You are constantly holding your breathe to see what happens next.

Wow!! If you are looking for suspense, intrigue, plot twists and turns look no further. Read this book! The story was so exquisitely told that I could picture the movie in my head while I was reading the book. There were lots of plot twists which kept the story moving nicely. Each chapter was told by a different person, so everyone perspective was told but flowed effortlessly. The bad guys were really bad and scary, while I was rooting for the good guys and girls.
It was a little surreal for me reading this book now, with the terrorists attacks happening in real life, but it was worth the effort.
This was my first Dale Wiley book and it most certainly will not be my last (I may have already one clicked his other books
What a beginning! A real roller-coaster ride of twists and turns. It starts at the first chapter and doesn't finish until the last page. The subject of terrorism is, unfortunately, always with us. Dale Wiley has taken the subject and turned it into a novel that has you holding your breath as you wonder what on earth will happen next. He has created a diverse cast of characters. Grant is a disgraced FBI agent. Caitlin is a real party girl. Pal Joey is an internationally famous rapper. They must work together to defeat the unhinged mastermind behind the attacks. Once I started reading this I could not put it down. I highly recommend this first class thriller.
This book was interesting. It had point of views from every angle as terrorists attacks happen all over the United States. From the mastermind of the attacks to a disgraced FBI agent to the girl that linked them together to a rapper who survived one of the attacks to one of the suicide bombers that has a change of heart. This book was intriguing and fascinating. And a little scary. It seemed so realistic! But overall, I really enjoyed it. I couldn't put it down until I knew if the USA beat the terrorist or not! It was like reading an action movie. It would actually make a great movie. -read by Mrs Undercover with Pop Fizz Clink Read
I’m not sure three stars are enough, since there were a lot of twists and “oh #%*+!” moments. The novel is action packed, and it was a fun read. It’s just that at the end of the book, I would have liked more layers or more meat, even though I’m not exactly sure what I mean by that!
And maybe that’s because I’m not usually reading that genre, and so I might be expecting something that I shouldn’t expect.
After 9/11 we unfortunately live in a new world where a new type of terror lurks just below the surface. With a subject matter that we are reminded of daily, I found this story to be fast paced high energy with interesting character development that kept me wanting more. A joyride evolving around a difficult subject that you will find hard to put down.
