This is an excellent Bible for Christian teenagers. "Extreme Teen Bible" is full of book introductions, page-long biographies, and places designed to specifically make you stop, think, and question certain parts of the Bible. The text is never condescending and speaks directly to the reader without bashing them on the head. A perfect gift for any religious holiday or event.
While I wouldn't recommend the New King James to a teenager the Extreme Teen Bible was pretty good.
Throughout the book there are short explanations explaining confusing verses, highlighted promises and various columns dedicated to teaching good Christian morals along the way, all backed up with verses and further reading.
With all the added blurbs it certainly isn't a dull read and I loved the facts and teachings at the beginning of each book.
NKJ is a tough ride, but this sure makes it a tad easier.
This is a good Bible for readers who want to learn more about Christianity. Thoughtful questions are provided throughout the reading to help the reader focus on the main idea of a passage.
