The book is quite comprehensive in terms of coverage of issues faced by people today - addiction, depression, divorce, abuse, gluttony, manipulation etc. It talks about basic psychology like why issues occur and dealing with them from a biblical angle, equipped with much prayers. It is my go to book when I need to counsel friends.

Very good topics in this book to study against your Bible for biblical decision making, meditating and counseling. Studying this will also give you the right words to say when a friend needs help or guidance.

I read this as a self-help book. I like the quick reference style to quickly refer to scripture when I need to get into God's word to deal with my issues.

This book helped me to be a little less intimidated at the prospect of walking a struggling friend through the answers in God's Word. It is exactly what it claims to be: Practical Help!
