A sort of pop survey -- not a scholarly treatment -- of "hip", through fashion, music, film, literature and philosophy, although the emphasis is definitely on musical connections.

A fun book and a good reference for Illustrators into Jazz ......nice to see Slim Gaillard getting the praise he deserves!
