Some deep doctrine - most of it well reasoned and documented. I can't agree with everything Dr. Andrus says here but it still gives one much to think about. There is much about the pre-existence, cosmology and the creation we do not know but I am content to await further light and knowledge. It comes, albeit slowly and intermittently, sometimes when I least expect it. i understand much more now, at least to my personal satisfaction, than I did as a young college student over forty years ago when I was asking a lot of questions.
This is an excellent book with insightful looks into the nature of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. It delves into our pre-earth existence, the creation, the fall and subsequent need for a Redeemer. I greatly enjoyed it and there are a number of sections in the Doctrine and Covenants that I need to take a closer look at.
I read this while I was a missionary and really liked it. I imagine that if I read it now for the first time I would probably give it three stars, but I could be wrong.
