An important entry into the Last Gunfighter canon. Frank and Conrad's relationship finally evolves and this volume sets up Conrad's Loner spinoff with the introduction of Rebel. It's also a very different volume because the POV is shared by Frank and Conrad, rather than just having Frank as the main character.
Explosive goings on in this terrific book. The reader must hang on as big booms and emotional ones compete for attention. Throw in a few bloodthirsty Apaches, men working and killing behind the scenes and you have one hell of a tale. Thumbs up for Johnstone again!
Wow !! This one is right out of the 1940's Saturday afternoon matinee's at our favorite movie theater. Conrad and his dad are growing closer as they both fight the bad guys, but the ending is the best where Frank is fighting them as the locomotive goes off the trestle and into the canyon.
A really good and exciting story. Frank has to go after the lawyer who is making his life miserable. You keep making up and finding stories like no other authors. Keep it up.
24-60. Boy Howdy. Another action packed Frank Morgan adventure. The man certainly gets around the West. Wonder where his next confrontation will end up. Yee haw. I borrowed this e-book from the Sacramento Public Library through the Libby app.
Great read, William had me all confused as to who i should trust: Rebel, Pamela?? I love how there seemed to be 3 main character's all though out the book yet with out alot of switching in between them individually to much. Will diffidently be in my fav bookshelf soon.
The Last Gunfighter series is one if my favorites of the Johnstone books. This one didn't disappoint! A gentleman to the ladies and a dread to anyone facing off with him!
Ain't nothing like a good western. Actually, I don't know if this is a good western or not; I'm so in love with the voice of audiobook performer George Guidall, I'd even think that Twilight was terrific if he read it. (Okay, maybe not.)
