Not only was this book sold as two for an inflated price, but the story was frankly sub-par. Especially compared to Nadia Lee's first books which really had something unusual and new in their tones, realism and characters.
The latest have gone downhill in my opinion and that series start really close to the bottom. The heroine is supposedly big and beautiful. I sincerely had the opinion she was such only for marketing purposes and trying to sell more books. Their relationship is just a sequence of physical attraction, followed by one or the other blowing cold and not trusting the other. Always for the exact same reasons one time after the other and that really got old after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time it happened and the exact same arguments were hashed again.
I do not believe those 2 would stand a chance, even if they had normal lives. With one of them, a Hollywood star, their relationship would only last days. Especially as they remained so immature and didn't help each other to grow.
A very poor book and probably my last from this author which really disappointed me a lot.

Don't waste your $ so u can find out what happens. It isn't worth it. The first book was good. This was just a ploy to make more $. I was starting to buy the author's other books but now I'm not going to bother.

Nice tie with book 1. I hate serials but I liked this one. He didn't have much to do with acting so his occupation could of been anything. Cover works except h was over weight.
I cringed at how awful people were towards Paige in social media. And the doctor at ER said she was high risk pregnant because of being over weight. Hmm, why didn't her OB dr. tell her that. Seemed more like fat shaming. Yes, you need to keep weight down & eat well. It didn't seem like pregnancy was overwhelming her life.... Lucky book character. I threw up all nine months- lost 50 pounds.

Lots of sun plots that don't get resolved in these two books so why bother (Anthony, Shaun)

Vielleicht irgendwann einmal…

Well this is definitely a book of 2 halves! The first half in my opinion wasn't good at all, it just wasn't for me but wow did it make a fabulous come back in the second half!

So the first half - i'd read a quarter of the book and all I thought was NO! What has the author done she's took away all what I loved about Paige in the first book, she went from a no nonsense, tell it how it is strong woman to a winey bitch who instead of speaking out to Ryder like she used to would say nothing and stomp off to cry a lot! It became annoying. I got to the point were I was not sure if this would be a dnf as I was just sad and felt it lost all of its pull. I then starting reading some reviews and decided i wanted to finish it. I stuck with it and shortly after 40% or so it starts to pick up pace and makes me want to read it again. Until this point I didn't rate it.

The second half - wow what a difference, I only wish I'd started reading this book from about 40-45% mark, if i had I would have given this a higher rating. It only scored 3 because of the frustrating start. However, both characters started to feel more like they did in book 1, the twists were binge read worthy as was the arguments and miss-understandings lol. I loved this half but I did feel the ending needed more, it felt rushed a little. I then wondered would the author continue their story from someone else's point of view while reading their story and that would be fabulous which leaves me hopeful as I just found a book about Elliot! Don't give up on this if u want to skip pages start around half way and you won't be disappointed 😁

As much as I love books with a little bit of drama, this book is filled with tug and pull nonsense from both the sides which gets irritating after the first few times. Could have been better written. Below average read.

I liked this book better than the first in the series mainly because it didn’t end with a cliffhanger! I loved the plot twists—very inventive writing. The characters were all complex and interesting—real people with emotions and backstories. I loved how Ms Lee gradually added more information about each character throughout the book.

The descriptions of what everyone was wearing added a lot to the story, but a few things bothered me:
1) The tunic-and-skirt combos for any female not a size zero are too prevalent. If you want to empower curvy women—dress them in clothing that doesn’t hide their figures.
2) After all that shopping for designer outfits, why doesn’t Paige wear them more? I can understand that she might’ve needed some comfy clothes, but I was irritated that Elizabeth wore designer stuff every day, but Paige didn’t. If Paige chose her old wardrobe, at least give some explanation. I felt the character was cheated when Ms Lee had her put on anything but her new stuff.

Baby hormones must have interfered with Paige's brain as she lost good sense and intelligence.

Sorry, not sorry. She'd been working for Ryder for some time, and knows the intricate minefields that litter the public scene for famous, talented, and good looking Hollywood actors. Yet, she becomes suspicious, insecure, and indignant over Ryder's little thoughtless oversights which she used to help him cover up or smooth over for the press. Paige played into Julian Reed's plan to thwart his son's happiness and inheritance, just as she makes every wrong decision instead of the ones that would show Ryder he means everything to her. She didn't appear to be the usual stereotypical blonde in the beginning, but boy, did she begin to come across as one at the end of book one and the beginning to more than halfway through this one. She's very fortunate that Ryder truly loved her. Two point five stars. Disappointing, as I hate to dislike the female lead character.

Great Ending!

I was sucked into the first book because while it is the cliche "I'll pay you to be my wife" boss and assistant romance. When I got to the end I couldn't wait to dive into this one to see what happens.
Paige is such a strong woman character which I haven't seen a lot of lately. She's not the typical female character either. She's more normal. Ryder is Hollywood's resident playboy with the most screwed up family I have ever read about.
The plot on this one follows flawlessly with the events from book 1. There's an added suspense factor with some blackmail and shady handling from Mira. There's also the push and pull of Paige and Ryder decifering there feelings for one another because none of it was supposed to be real. All in all a great read and grrat conclusion for one of my new favorite couples.

A good story, which explores the interface of social media in relationships, and the damage that publicity can cause to the persons reputation, but more importantly to their well being and the desperate outcomes that it can produce. Although Paige is frequently left to manage things herself, I did find Ryder’s character more irritating in this book (that’s not necessarily a negative) I found it hard to believe his profession of love for Paige, whilst single handily causing her so much pain himself, clearly a man totally consumed by his own importance, Ryder’s character changes a bit when he eventually realises the impact it is having on Paige. For me the book came to a sudden ending – the story did have an ending it just seemed rather abrupt, that said as soon as I get some time I will read the next book in the series.

I liked this book even less than the first one. And the biggest reason is Ryder. After knowing Paige, testing her after she became his assistant, and everything else, he still thought she released a sex tape to be famous. Even after his sister and brother told him he was being ridiculous, he continued on. Paige tried to explain to him what she was feeling and why, and he couldn't get it! I thought that was very unfair. And then Mira isn't any better. I couldn't stand her in book one and definitely didn't want anything to do with her in this one. Julian made the whole book miserable. Anthony, while I understood him, annoyed the hell out if me. The whole abuse Paige suffered at the hand of "Ryder" fans made my blood boil. Even more so that Ryder was completely oblivious and didn't help her at all. I just didn't want to see them together by the end of it.

If ever I wanted to jump in a book and kick someone's ass, it would be this book. Paige was always being blamed for a lot in this book and Ryder was always the innocent party! Smh......what happened to having each others back? And the meanness in this book was ridiculous.....as it was always towards Paige. Now Paige needed a backbone and needed one badly against the likes of Shaun, Julian, Mira, And all of Ryder's fan base. That's a lot for one person to handle alone. And the icing on the cake, her own fiancé doesn't trust her? Wow. Ultimately, I was able to get the HEA I was seeking with these two. With a little patience and a whole lot of love (finally), they got to where they deserved to be.. Exceptional read.

wow - sometimes you really wanted to slam their heads together!!!!!!!!

6 of one...half a dozen of the other....as my nan would say.

After the whole sex tape thing (who DID send that btw!!??) communication lines got crossed by just saying "good morning" here...!!

A nice simple conclusion for Ryder and Paige s story but leading into Elliott's story next. Majority of questions and actions were wrapped up and hopefully anything else will be addressed thru the series and not just dropped now it's not concentrating on them!

A nice chick-lit series - plenty of sizzlin scenes, well written and the writing and plot flows steadily (so no skim reading from this corner!)
Hoping the rest are as good and enjoyable to read!!

Ryder & Paige

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Please read 'A Hollywood Deal' first. This book starts directly after Ryder's fight when Paige has him pull the car over because she's ill.

I'm glad this is fiction because this couple definitely had more than their share of villains. After all the struggle they elope. I can't wait to see what happens in the next books in the series. I hope to find out if Shaun finds out about the baby; if Ryder's siblings are able to fulfill their portion on their dad's ultimatum; what the sex of Paige's baby is; what the sex of Bethany's baby is; if Anthony ever talks it out with Ryder; what happens to Mira and Julian and all of their evil. I'm definitely hooked.

Thanks for making this series available in KU. JP

I couldn't wait to read this book after reading the first one! The first one ended in a huge cliffhanger! So this book picks up where the last one left off.
Ryder and Paige go through pretty much everything that tries to tear them apart. I was beginning to think that these two weren't going to have a happy ending.
I am so glad that they finally got out of their own way and got their stuff together. Had they not, they wouldn't have had that happy ending.
These two are so perfect for one another. It just took them awhile to see it.
I loved reading this book. It's another FIVE STARS for me!!!!

The 1st book ends as a Cliffhanger, so this was a must read for me. Ryder and Paige’s fake relationship seems to me doomed. Their “marriage of convenience” may never actually happen.
In this story more background information is revealed. Ryder is struggling with trusting Paige, and his agent, father, and former friend aren’t helping the situation. For most of this book Paige is not happy with Ryder’s behavior towards her. Paige is hurt and confessed why Ryder is now questioning her motives. This is a man she has been a loyal and trustworthy employee to for over four years. She becomes confrontational and even seems to be testing him, especially regarding Anthony.
Paige is finding a new ally in Ryder’s sister.
Ryder finds himself turning to a very unlikely person for relationship advice. As a reader, it was frustrating these two wouldn’t honestly express their true feelings for each other. Though, it seems the course of true love never runs smoothly.

Ryder and Paige

I admit to reading both books, back to back, and while I usually don't care for cliff hangers this story lays the ground works for the Reed family while keeping types with the Pryce family. (Recommend reading that series first.). Ryder and Paige face manipulation and interference on a grand scale. The challenges are set by some parties to drive them apart and others to keep them together for muddled reasons. Characters are well built and inclusive leading to a satisfying read.

it was cool that this time the hole thing didn't have a cliffhanger, but what I didn't like is the fact that the all plot dissolves into few lines at the end of the 26th chapter out of 27. I was hyped because I hoped there could have been an epilogue set one year after, or whatever... all I've got is some nonsensical introduction to another character. but I needed to know how this story ended, not how another one started. What am I gonna do now?

Love Ryder and Paige.

I love Ryder and Paige. This part of the story wraps up some of the twists and turns from book one. It had me gripped from the beginning and I can't wait to read more. I did feel like some of the story was missing, did they have the big wedding? How did everyone react to them marrying abroad? Did Mira hack Shawns computer and leak the video.
I hope there's more to come which fills in all the blanks xx

Eeh.

Okay, so here’s the problem: there were all these sub-plots and vague threats from like Anthony and Julian, and I wanna see Anthony and Ryder reconcile, and know how the situation with Julian played out.

But then, instead of answers or sorting out those like, pretty main things, the story just like, ended? And maybe it’s resolved in another book, but honestly, I don’t have the patience for that.

Ugh

The first part of the book is horrible. Paige is such a diva, A whiner. She is turning into Ryder's mother. I am having to force myself to read the book. There should not have been two books. This one is filled with fillers. If the characters were in their early 20's I can see them acting in this manner. But they are adults. Why play silly games?
Disappointed. Book one had adult characters. This one. Let's shelf this in the YA section.

I love a good HEA

After everything under the sun tries to keep Paige and Ryder apart, I love how this second book put a spin to all of that and our couple manages to get some revenge. I definitely don’t think their story is over since there are still some serious loose ends that need to be tied up, but I’m looking forward to seeing how the other siblings will fare in their search for a marriage partner.

The wedding date grows closer

Ryder and Paige’s elaborate wedding grows closer, but the mounting obstacles and numerous secrets are coming between them. Anything and everything threatens to pull them apart. Can they be strong enough to admit their love for each other and use the other for support or will they let the outside world tear them apart all while the whole world watches….

I have several favorite authors and she is one of my favorites. Her books are fun, sweet, with a little drama to make the book stand out. The cliffhanger from the Hollywood Deal had me wondering, but she made up for it!
Thank you for being a writer, I know it has to be hard to remember each book and what is in them but include characters from other book and have them tie together in one way or another.

Good

This was a good story but could have been done as one book and considering the next book is £3.99 and comes in three parts I doubt I'll be able to afford to get round to reading it unless someone gives me a gift card. Shame, I would have liked to see where the rest off the series went.

A Hollywood Bride a Perfect End to a Great Tale

I , loved A Hollywood Deal so much. I had to buy and read A Hollywood Bride right away. The ending was so satisfying! Still many twists and turns for Ryder and Paige. Surprise villains appear,
but love wins out. Not as great as part one, but worth it!

Enjoyed the story, but if you are going to write a book it should have a begining and an END, NOT TO EXPECT READERS TO BUY ANOTHER BOOK to complete the story, I will be checking these books out in future to make sure I have a complete story before I buy, this kind of thing makes writers very unpopular. Not worth losing your reputation over Nadia sorry !!!

Series needs to be read in order.
Book starts from the end of book 1.
Lots of angst, mistrust, interference and accusations.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating despite suspicion.
Other secondary characters who have their own books, some run parallel in time.
HFN but enemy threat plot not concluded.
