I really wanted this one to hold me pulled in but it didn't, it was a good book but for some reason it didn't pull me in like the others had. Mark and Erica seemed way to forced to me, and not genuine...then there was the drama that revolves around Alex, and there was a lot in this book.
Nicholas is FINALLY out of the picture for good...only to have more drama pop up for Alex (of course). Which I saw this coming...I knew it was going to be one of two people...so we shall see how things turn out in the last two books.
Brother to the Boss (Managing the Bosses #8) was a good read by Lexy Timms. Mark and his brother Alex are building a powerful dynasty. Alex is behind corporate offices and tall sky scraper buildings. Mark is running an elite social an golf club. Alex finds himself wanting to be at home with Jamie and their kids more than wanting to run his billion dollar empire. But he realizes that no matter what he choses, one of the things he loves will suffer. Mark's country club is growing fast. A wedge is brought between the brother due to their competitive nature. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
Just when i think that the series may have run its course I am pleasantly wrong. The author manages to keep you thrilled and intrigued while also including steamy romance between Alex and Jamie but now as Alex's brother Mark has a hugely successful country club and a love interest of his own, there are more steamy escapades. Someone is trying to takeover Reid Enterprises and Alex has been struggling to find the balance between being at home more with his wife and kids and getting to the bottom of this attempted takeover. As a result, there is a strain on Alex's relationship with Jamie but also with his brother Mark. I love the story as well as the twists that reveal the plan to takeover Reid Enterprises. This was so well written I can't get enough of this series.
I've been hooked since Book 1, and have loved everyone since!! Lexy is brilliant, this is my favorite series to date. Can't wait to read next book but hate to think it's the last:/ would it be selfish to want it to keep going, it's that good!! I think not..
