The American Heir is the last one in Riggins and Haley story.
Gina Robinson hits us with one revelation after the next and the big question is whether Haley and Riggins will finally find their happily ever after? will they get past the hurt, suspicions and the feeling of betrayal? Will they finally confess their love for each other? and will it be enough to keep them together? Will they find Sid's cure?
unlike Kayla and Justin their story is shorter, in a way less complicated and on other ways more complicated. Riggins and Haley had a good chemistry and I liked them both. I thought some of the drama was too much and maybe things fell into place a little too nicely with a ribbon on the said, but hell, it was cute!
definitely the best piece of this series.
next up is Lazer's story and I just can't wait!
an arc was provided by the author is exchange for an honest review
Good wrap up to this series. Haley is pregnant, Riggins is suspicious, but quickly gives consideration to Haley' theory of the Duke manipulating things somehow so she'd get pregnant. Cleverly done.
He doesn't want children, has fears of fatherhood, and Rose wrecks things by telling the press before Haley has a chance to tell Riggins about the baby.
She also learns that in fact, she's the heir, not Riggins, but he's still required as the Duke. More comes to light about Sid, so that all the things forcing them together fall away over the course of this books.
Finally, Riggins quits challenging his feelings and recognizes he loves Haley, their child, and even the dukedom.
An interesting family twist near the end, great story.
When Riggins finds out Haley is pregnant, he feels betrayed, and his love for her is in jeopardy. He's only just realized that he is madly in love with the woman he married, but the secrets that have come between them seem to be working to tear them apart. When strange sightings begin to haunt the two of them, they find themselves in a place neither of them ever expected. And this discovery could not only ruin what they've been working to build, but Riggins could lose her for good.
This was the perfect ending. It was full of emotions and wit, and I enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed the rest of the stories of these reluctant dukes. I plan to get into another of this author's series soon, and I truly can't wait.
Riggins found out that Haley was pregnant via the social networks. He felt betrayed. When he arrived at his ducal seat, he told Haley in no uncertain terms what he thought of her. She told him she was pregnant but not deliberately. Other things were happening: her sisters true parents could be on the estate, lights in the locked tower were flickering, Haley felt someone was following her and she was the Dukes direct descendant not Riggins. A mishmash of wonderful things that were sorted out in this book. Exciting to read.
This is a review of all books combined. I enjoyed this series. I did not like that any man could go behind his intended's back just because he has more money. Money plays a huge role in this. Who has it who doesn't. Because people who don't are sometimes desperate but not for themselves but for family. Family who are sick... This book is a must read. You must find out about the love affair between Riggins and Haley that almost didn't happen and Haley's great love of her sister, Sid.
Ms. Robinson’s “Billionaire Duke” romance series is absolute perfection!! I loved every aspect of the story - the intrigue, the romance, the mysteries, the revenge, etc.! It was all put together for an awesome story. Don’t hesitate to pick up the series. It does NOT disappoint! They are relatively short reads - each one - and can easily be read in a day. Long live the Duke! His Duchess and their heir!!
I've waited until the end of this series. Because i did not have clue of how the story ends
The last two books of the series was something I couldn't let go. I only stop to get some nourishment. At the end I feel so happy and sad the same time because I have to read does that make sense? Only a reader of this series will understand
Did you know that red clover negates the hormones in birth control? Haley and Riggins find out the hard way. Is Riggins truly the Duke of Witham? Well you’re going to have to read the book to find out, because I will not tell you. Excellent storyline, well developed characters, and a very satisfactory ending.
Good read. Characters was still good but the Dukes friends were missing quite a bit in the book which I would have thought would have been good. The book was circled around the home and pregnancy... The man in the tower was obvious as were her feeling watched and by whom. But still a great book 4/5
Quirky, Sexy, and fantastic storyline. I don't normally go for cliffhangers but I had to finish ready all three books. It led you on a journey with twist and turns you have to guess what was going to play out. I recommend this book to all the Romney's of the world. Great job Gina I will wait for your new series!
Haley and Riggins, the main characters of this series make you believe that lave can help you overcome anything.
This series was very well written, and once you start, it's hard to put it down until you get to the end. I started the series midday and did't stop reading til 4 am in the morning when I finished tbe last and final book. Definitely a must read!
What a fantastic end to Riggins and Haley's story. It is full of drama and mystery. It has suspense that adds a lot to it. I loved how Riggins and Haley have grown throughout this series. It was extremely well written and the flow was superb. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.
Good, and a decent conclusion to the series. Other than the fact that we still don’t know the name of the baby from Kayla and Justin, and now we don’t know the name of the baby from Riggins and Haley! Argh!!
Well it took 4 books to finally get the HEA I was waiting for. I have never read a series where you are left with a cliff hanger after each book. It was great to have the wait finally over. A great story if you can stick it out
This was the most exciting book of the 4 with the climax of the story a tear jerker! I loved it! When all the mysteries were tied up with a bow at the end, it was worth wading through the four books for a great outcome.
With surprising twists and unveiled secrets we will find out if Riggins and Haley will have their happy ending.
At the end of book 3, Rose, that manipulative British wench, has spilled the news of Haley’s pregnancy to the press and Riggins who has just come to the realization that he loves Haley sees the broadcast only to believe Haley meant to trap him. After throwing a tantrum to outshine any little British Lord or Lady, Riggins confronts Haley with his anger. He wasn’t expecting to Haley direct her own anger back at him.
If you remember that nasty little business of the DNA tests that were done on Haley and Rose and a hint of an issue with the results, well let’s just say Haley has found out what that issue was and believes Riggins knew all along. While remaining in England, Haley has done her own research and has found that she is in fact the great-granddaughter of the Dead Duke and is actually the rightful American Heir. She has also come to realize she is more like the Dead Duke than she thought possible and that it isn’t Riggins who is to solve the clues he left but that they were left for her.
The clues Haley has become fascinated with are all coming together. The Dead Duke never did anything without a reason and he did have a heart he used to help those he cared for. As she becomes part of the community, she learns many secrets which push her to the discovery that will help identify her sister’s twin and hopefully lead to her cure. Haley also discovers that there is someone following her and believes that the tower is haunted, but no one believes her.
As twists turn what they thought was known into something new and secrets are being revealed, Haley and Riggins have only each other they can trust if they can set aside their suspicions and admit they have actually done what the Dead Duke wanted…fallen in love with each other. When proof of Haley’s stalker becomes real and Riggins runs in to protect Haley and their unborn child, it may be Riggins who needs saved when his past makes a very connection to his present. When an accident occurs, Riggins must do everything to save Haley. In the end, will the Dead Duke win?
In this serial, we had only four books which compared to the Switched at Marriage (Justin and Kayla) series in which there were 7. I truly enjoyed that series but it was long. I thought having the story neatly tied up within 4 books was great! I can’t get enough of Gina Robinson’s sexy serial romances. I also ( as mentioned to the author and on a previous blog) think it would be fantastic to have a story based on the Dead Duke’s life. If you haven’t tried one of Gina Robinson’s serials you are missing out. I recommend beginning with the Switched at Marriage serial in which you meet her characters through Justin and Kayla’s romance. It is where you will meet Riggins and Lazar who is the next in line for his story.
I liked this series, although the ending was a bit crazy and left some unresolved questions. For example, we never find out *really* whether they are going to be happy with their lives. They still seem torn in two different directions. So, although I think its meant to be a HEA ending, I can't tell whether they will stay in the UK or return to the US. Probably stay in England, but you don't ever really know whether Riggins is committed to that plan.
Also, I don't know what work Dad did by appearing. It was as if the book wandered for a long time around Riggins indecision (which also involved a lot of not being around, kind of like her other leading man in the related Switched at Marriage series) and then all of a sudden we have two plots going strongly at once. That felt rushed, between finding out who was related to whom and how and a dead man showing up, it got a bit confusing for me.
I'm still a bit grumpy about it being a four book series rather than say 3 books a bit longer. I think it could have been a bit compressed. But its way better than the seven of Switched at Marriage which really annoyed me.
But it was a fun, easy read in many places, and for that I give this four stars.

Wow, what an awesome end to a great series. Read the book in one sitting. Could just not put it down. Love Riggins & Haley's story, will they find love. We get to see a bit of Rose and a ghost tower with a surprise guest and a breath taking accident. Will Sid get her cure and what happens to the heir and the dead dukes commands. Enough humor, drama, romance for everyone's tastes. Well done Gina, you did not dissapoint once again. If you did not read this series, you are missing out. Get it and start the fun adventure of Riggins & Haley with the dead dukes commands.
Riggins and Haley have so many unanswered questions and face a lot of twist and turns. Sid finds answers to her family that she has been searching for. Will it change her relationship with her sister Haley? Will Riggins change his mind about living a life in royalty? Will Haley give up the Duchess role for Riggins? Will they be able to live a life without secrets and finally trust one another? As soon as hey start to ge closer a tragedy can take it all away. Will they fnall get their HEA or were they doomed from the start or their arrangement?
What a perfect conclusion to Riggins and Haley's story? There's definitely some unexpected surprises in this book! I truly loved it. The Dead Duke certainly planned for EVERY eventuality much to Riggins and Haley's despair. There was no foiling this plan but did either of them really want to get out of the Dead Dukes plans? Definitely a fabulous ending! Don't forget to get your copy!!
Omg!!! Loved loved loved this book esp after theach cliffhanger of the last book. So in this finale, Haley confirms to Riggins that she is indeed pregnant. Riggins doesn't want to believe she planned it and Haley is conflicted with info she has learned about the Dead Duke. Secrets are revealed, ghosts, people and events connected to make the book a sit on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens!! Great job Gina!!
