Summer Kennedy is a power player in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been on a journey of self-discovery since she was old enough to remember. From love to the identity of her real parents to her openly brazen sexuality, she has always felt something was missing.
Working side by side with powerhouse lawyer and best friend David Hall, an openly bisexual black male, Summer feels a spark with David that dares to challenge the laws of attraction. Can Summer lose herself in David's erotic call?
When Michael, David's friend and ex-lover, comes to town, the game of cat and mouse between two friends changes everything for Summer. Michael is aware of her sexual desires, and he uses her in his plot against the man who did something so unforgivable that ten years later, Michael is still looking to make him pay.
In order to understand the method to Michael's madness, you'll have to take a walk on the wild side. Take a journey of learning to accept what society deems as unacceptable.
Re-read this and reduced to 3 stars. Really, I think all three characters were toxic until about 87%. I didn't really like any of them. I found more fault with David this time around. I did like him more towards the end, and the reveal at the end makes a huge difference, but again, I feel that David was better off without Summer. And Michael was still trash. It's even more evident this time that Michael hated himself because why he would even remain married to Sadi was beyond me. Just confused and toxic all around.

Talk about putting me through the ringer! Lawd. I haven't read urban fiction in ages, mostly because I just can't deal with the drama 99% of the time, but hello MMF, with two hot black men, you KNOW I had to give it a whirl. I'm happy to say it didn't let me down. That's not to say I didn't cuss in a few choice places, or that both heroes and the heroine didn't make me want to put them in a choke hold at one point or other, but umm yeah. Mostly I was team David. Michael was a selfish man heaux and Summer was selfish, jealous, and at times contradictory and clueless. Really, in the end, I felt David should have walked away from both of them.
So, storyline wise, Michael and David are ex friends-with-benefits who used to get busy in college. Some drama happened and they haven't spoken in 10 years. Michael now has a wife and kids. Summer and David are best friends/co-workers, who have this sizzling attraction between them, but Summer doesn't want to go there with David because he's bi. Basically, they do everything together like a married couple except have sex. Michael comes to town to visit and then things get...intense. Those threesomes were HAWT! Summer kind of got on my nerves with some of her antics where Michael was concerned but this is what happens sometimes when dude is laying that pipe like he's with the Union. I have read a few MMF books, but I think this is one of the most realistic in terms of dealing with a woman who is struggling with her man's bisexuality, and dealing with her own insecurities and jealousy, while being down for the 3-way. I came away from this with all types of feelings but what I can say for this sure is that this a well written, mostly well edited book. There were a few typos but not many at all. Maybe 5 or 6 in the entire book, which for an indie author is nothing short of a miracle.
There is a twist at the end, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, mostly because I felt that both Summer and Michael were toxic for David in certain ways. I did get his explanation of the bond of their childhood and he did love her, so I understood but eh. If he'd walked away from both of them I would have been cheezing. He sacrificed so much for Summer it was ridic, but that's love I guess, and she was who he wanted.. Be prepared for some drama before we get some resolution, but even that I felt was well done.
This book is $9.99 on Kindle. I hemmed and hawwed before I bought it because the price is ridiculous, especially considering it's not even 300 pages, but I will say I do feel like I got my money's worth. I've only purchased one other Kindle book at this price and felt the same way so I lucked out there!
Bi-Satisfied was a struggle to get through. I almost DFNed this book a couple of times. I will say that this book brings up good discussion points about bisexuality and biphobia, especially among black men; and the sex scenes are titillating. My main problem with Bi-Satisfied is that it had too many drama-filled conflicts and characters I just didn't care about the further I read. And the ending....
I’ll start off like this, Nikki-Michelle, you’re nosty!!! (Nasty for those who don’t know) LOL. With that out of the way, let me state immediately, this is a 2nd review. I received the ARC before the release and had a review. I opted to take it down to give a more thorough review (which I’m happy that I did) and here we are.
Bi-Satisfied, I’ll say it here, Bi-Satisfied would make a great movie because it’s a great exploration on sexually and relations (polyamorist or not). I deeply appreciate that you get an appropriate look at Bisexual males (black males at that) in this type of medium. It breaches the many topics that woman are coming around too with the change in Society’s norms. Sex, orientation, labels, relations, liberation, self-exploration, mental/spiritual awakening and awareness. Yup, this is about growth, all mixed in with hedonistic drama (in a great way) and truths!
*soap opera stare*
Moving on, I’ll say this, Summer is spoiled. Annoyingly so with purpose, though. However, I can relate to her on other levels through her character development. David, I enjoyed his development and I liked him as well. His mannerisms and temper, and how he views himself, yes I can relate. As for Mister Michael himself, the brotha, surprisingly didn’t upset me as I thought he might (Like Aric did). He too I liked. Flaws and all.
All three, four, including Sadi, are wrong, foul, and full of stank/love. However, the loyalty is there, even in its dysfunction and on a psychological level, the microaggressions between the four, showing the levels of manipulation and pain, hurt people cause each other, was great, especially in relation to that twist.
I know I might be rambling, but I have to add, that, the restaurant scene. ….In my head all I heard was, ‘Baybeeee’! Oowee,” Can you say climatic? Even the very flip of everything we believed was going down turning out to be a different side to the same coin was excellent. I can’t wait for part two, because, the mess can only get bigger. I feel for the children…yikes.
David, Mike, and Summer…Adam, Eve, and the tempestuous Snake. With Sadi as Lilith. Did she really say it or nah? :D
Great read and I loved it…now hurry up for the second installation. :D
What can I say? LAWD!! This was a very raw, erotic and powerful read. The author brought us flawed but complex characters with the storyline to match. She brought her A game and held nothing back. The scenes were so vivid that every scene you could visualize without effort. This was definitely a page turner. FLAWLESS!!!
I really enjoyed this novel. It definitely is not for those who are super anti exploring sexual exploits, I found myself at times saying, "Really Nikki", but she dealt with a very complex issue, being bi-sexual, inquisitive, insecure and curious. David found himself doing things he said he'd never do all in the name of showing Summer that she had nothing to fear, he was always going to be there! They sure took the road less traveled only to find love truly conquers a multitude of faults. The friendship of Michael and David wad a complex one and I knew early on they probably wouldn't survive, there was just too much hidden and exposed. Said turned out to be a conniving something, she definitely was one you loved to hate! The ending will definitely shock you! I did find some grammatical errors along the way, but overall an excellent storyline. Great novel Nikki Michelle!
WOW!!!! At the end of this book all I could say was WOW!!! This was my first time reading Nikki Michelle, and definitely not my last! The book was so good, I had to go back and re-read. It was deliciously hot and steamy, a whirl wind of emotions of complex sexual relationships. The book starts out hot at the very beginning and keeps you reading. When I got to the end another surprise on top of the already surprises during the entire book. I had so many questions and thoughts, I couldn't move on to another book because I literally had a BOOK HANGOVER, it was well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it really taught me some things I had no clue about, and Nikki Michelle graciously answered a lot of my questions in an impromptu chat, which was even more awesome. I can't wait to read the next installment and what other books she will be working on.
This book was off the chain!! So hot it burned my fingers & smoke got in my eyes. This is what you read when you're looking for something to sink your teeth into 😉 or need something to devour over a weekend!
This was a WOW book because you didn't know what to expect from anyone in the book. But it was off the chain because they were so in tuned with each other.
David, Summer and Micheal are in a crazy lustful sexxx haze that is the glue holding them together and the amount that’s happening is not for the meek, they…gets…it…in…a lot…and it’s good, I mean real real good and it’s tastefully and very well written with intended purposes.
Reading this made me think there has to be a method to the madness of the back bending, leg spreading, walls clamping, uterus poking, vag squirting, deep thrustin and lips sucking going on eluding to something deeper in their poly coupling. It’s how they release, show affection, it’s also how they shield and use it to protect what’s hidden by the things they can’t say with words that also would open them to being vulnerable.
David love is unconditional and pleasuring, Summer love is insecure and selfish and Michael doesn’t love, he lust and uses and it’s vengeful. They all have selfish needs that can be more anticipated or perceived as HUGE secrets that were covered, discovered and revealed with consequences effecting everyone in the mix. Fights break out, marriages are tested, DNA is questioned and friendships are lost and it all made a juicy, riveting reading experience.
Nikki Michelle navigated this storyline wonderfully showing the lengths one will go through for love putting their needs above your own to prove your love is a permanente fixture because you’re the one they chose. I was not ready for this unpredictable story that had me on edge the entire time. These characters took me through loops of love, lust, deceit, lies, jealousy, selfishness betrayal and revenge all in the name of acceptance. This was a fantastic story, well depicted, excellent writing with captivating characters that tell a very good story.
Do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK because the ending…🤯
Summer and David work together, play together and are mutually attracted to one another. David wants a relationship, but Summer is struggling with the idea that he's a bisexual man, who will never be content with just…her. Enter Michael…a blast from the past, who makes things much more difficult.
This book is for the open-minded reader who also has the ability to think outside the box. It will give you a different approach to a stereotypical situation and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The twisted and turns will definitely leave you speechless. I applaud @nikkimichelle1984 for a 💎💎💎💎💎job well done.
Don't get me wrong, this was one nasty book! At the same time, this is the best book I've read by Nikki-Michelle! It had so many vivid sex scenes in it, but the storyline was crazy. Its funny how I didn't figure out David and Summer was married til the end of the book. Sadi has David's daughter, now Summer is pregnant with Michael's son. There needs to be another part to this book.
Omg this book was everything and I loved how these characters came to life. Felt like I’ve met them personally. So many emotions, feelings, and rawness in this book. Loved every bit of it and can’t wait to read more!
yall ts was so ass i dont even feel obligated to write a proper review. if youre looking for poly DONT WASTE UR TIME HEREEEE pls i beg. sm homophobia and odd analogies is scary in between them pagesssss
I didn't know what to expect with this book. It was good, better then I thought if would be. It had a storyline an kept my interest. The twist that this book took me on had my speechless. This was my first read from this author, but I would dead something from her again!
Oh my where do I start! This book is on point! I was drawn in from the very beginning. I could’ve read it in one day but I wanted to take my time and enjoy it like a fine meal. Nikki-Michelle’s writing is so vivid I was able to see what I was reading as though I was watching a movie. Now for me – this is an indication of a well written book. We live in a world where a person’s sexuality is probably more questioned now than ever before. Take David and Michael’s desire for men and women out of the equation and you have what everyone can relate to – a complicated love story. Which in my opinion is the point; no matter if you’re attracted to men, women, or both – be with whomever you want to be with as long as they make you happy! You may also have to deal with some infidelity, rejection and heartbreak. On top of all those things, Summer has to deal with her feelings for a bi-sexual man. Nikki-Michelle tells an eloquent story of what one goes through when trying to work through a relationship.
This book will make you wonder would you be able to handle the type of relationship these characters share between each other. Bi-Satisfied is not your typical book addressing bi-sexuality – especially bi-sexual men. Bi-Satisfied takes a head-on, in your face, honest approach. Whether it was through the erotic sexual escapades or the bold hit you in your face truth, Nikki-Michelle did a dang good job with this book. I HIGHLY recommend you reading it.
I don't consider myself a prude but a few pages into this book I knew I was in for the ride of my life. (No pun intended) When I say I wasn't ready for what lies ahead in this book - I mean I wasn't ready. At the start of the book, we learn about Summer and where her curiosity with sex began. Nikki- Michelle has a way with words that will send your exotic muscles in overdrive.
Erotic muscles?!? I'm not sure if that's the appropriate word to use, but that's the first thing that pops into my head while I'm typing out this review. I don't read a lot of erotica, so there were times I gasped and then looked around the room to see if anyone noticed. There were a few times my husband asked what I was reading.
I have strong opinions on the subjects of bi-sexuality & threesomes. To each his own, but I believe it takes a strong person to go down that road without being scathed.
Author Nikki-Michelle does an excellent job of capturing the characters emotions while they all dealt with their issues. The steamy scenes in Bi-Satisfied had my eyes twitching at times. I couldn't help but wonder what & who inspired this book.
Okay so let me first start by saying I NEVER thought that I would read this book simply because of the story. I literally felt like I couldn't read it all because I didn't want to be pushed outside of my comfort zone when it comes to the type of books I read. Well let me tell you, I couldn't have been more wrong. Bi-Satisfied was well written and tastefully tells the story of a women in love with her bisexual male best friend. Summer loves David and wants to except all of him but she's afraid that she won't be able to fully satisfy him because of his appetite for men. David's best friend Michael comes to town and lines are crossed, secrets are revealed, relationships are tested but only true love prevails. Lust, Love and Lies mixed with a lot of emotions makes for a very intense read. Are you willing to take a walk on the wild side?? This was my first book from this author and it won't be my last. Awesome work Nikki-Michelle this book surpassed my expectations.
This is not a book that would normally be on my radar, but I am glad for this "I would have never" find! You ever just read a book that by the end you literally hate ALL the characters, but the book was so good that you would go back for more, even though you didn't particularly like anyone? Well this was THAT book. The were really well-developed and that 'revelation' at the end.... WOW! My ereader almost made contact with the wall.
Get ready for a rollercoaster and remember, things are not always what they seem! It was so good, but the characters will have your feelings all over the place!
I finally finished this book I started it so many times and put it down to read something else. I should have never done that because this was one hella read. I really loved the friendship with benefits that David and Summer had. Little and behold soon as Michael came into the picture everyone's freaky side came out. I loved the ending it was great. Excellent read this book is very good please read it and you will see why I gave the book 5 stars.
I loved this book. It took me a while to get into it, but when I did I couldn't put it down. The twist at the end floored me. The author told a story, that very well maybe the story of many couples that are married. I think this should be read by both male and female readers, especially married couples who feel like there's a void. It may provide some insight, maybe provide courage.
This book was everything! Full of intense sex, drama and more drama. What an amazing plot twisting story. I struggled with reading it due to the subject matter but it gripped me from the beginning and would not let go. Excellent read!
Okay so here it is....if you are closed minded, or not into well developed characters, or don't like the element of surprises then this is not the book for you. This book was so well written and the twist at the end Wow!! Nikki did her thing on this one and I loved it!
