A warlord's choice is not to be questioned...

Zoey Swann deals with the impossible. Impossible assignments, impossible expectations, impossible warlords... But no one's as difficult, infuriating and enthralling as Daegon, the Corgan warlord the curvy diplomat has to convince to not wreak havoc on his own people and the rest of the alliance along with it. That's one mission that's easier said than done, though.

When unexpected forces arise to destroy all Zoey and Daegon hold dear, it's time to put aside their differences and try to work together.

The fact that it means spending a lot of time together with the fierce warlord is no small bonus, even if it is unexpected.

Daegon has had enough of seeing the Corgan people wither away. Though the new chieftain is the last man he'd trust to lead his kin, dangers that surround the proud warlord lead him to tough decisions. Trust his heart and the little Terran smartmouth who seems to have run off with it, or trust his head and do things the Corgan way.

By killing everything in sight and taking stock later.

Well, maybe there's a way to do both. Get the girl and save the world.

It can't be that impossible, right?

Daegon: Alien Warlord's Conquest is the second book in a series of scifi romance novels, following Corgan warlords and the human women who love them. This book contains plenty of love, lust, violence and epic battles, so buckle up!

These books can and should be read as standalones, there are no cliffhangers and each book contains a guaranteed happy ending!

This was definitely an insta-love romance, amongst the stars and in the middle of a military battle. I thought the attraction between Daegon and Zoey was overall well done but it was so fast and then boom - they were off to war and battling for the rest of the book and trying to save each other, so even though this was a fairly short book, it felt like their romance was given an even shorter period of time to develop between battle scenes. Decent, but not memorable.

Another Great Read from Vi. I read this thru KU. I really love the strong females in Vi's book and this one was no exception. There were some editing issues that really warranted removal of a star or two; however, the book was so enjoyable I chose to forgive instead. 5 stars.

Oh my gosh! First thing is Zoey gets on his bad side by keeping him waiting. But then his ship gets attacked and she is taken? This has definitely a rocky start for them.

Daegon: Alien Warlord's Conquest
Scifi Alien-Human Military Romance
by Vi Voxley
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a SPECTACULAR Scifi Alien-Human Military romance thriller with attitude! But I must say that Vi Voxley series are the ones I enjoy reading. The storyline is a exciting page turner that you can't help but to keep reading until you finish the book. The characters are exciting, captivating, engaging and written very well. Even the secondary characters are made to make this a awesome adventure. The dialogue from a sassy woman to the sexy general male is wonderful. Vi Voxley is clever, imaginative and she knows how to give her readers adventure with amazing romance. All I know is that every book I have read Vi Voxley I have fallen in love with them! This story has something for everyone in it, again this is a excellent story that had me hooked from the beginning of the book. Conquest is the right name for this book it will conquer you as you read it. This is a romance for everyone. It's a joy to read and you won't want it to end when you finished the story. I want to give you a teaser of the story just so you can read why I enjoyed it so much.

“I forgive you," he said. "On one condition."
He didn't miss the way she seemed to lean towards him as he spoke. It took every ounce of will he had not to reach out and pull her closer. The sweet, fresh scent of her hair reached him, driving him mad. He had to remind himself that he had a duty to perform and admiring her wouldn't help one bit.
"Of course," she said, but again he could hear the defiant pride somewhere in there.
"You are a diplomat," he stated. "But I am a Corgan. We speak bluntly. I hear your words, but your voice tells me another story. I want to hear the same message from both. Then we can talk. She regarded him seriously, frowning. It seemed impossible to Daegon, but it made the female even more gorgeous.
"Is this a trick?" she asked carefully. "To see if I would insult you?"
"Consider what you know of us and take a guess," Daegon replied.
The female – Zoey, she had said – regarded him for a long moment before finally standing straighter and nodding.
"Alright," she said, her voice shaking a little. "Then could we have some light? You are not Brions, your ships aren't dark on purpose. I think you're doing this to frighten me."
Daegon grinned. He liked her.
"And?" he asked, taking a step closer, enjoying the way Zoey winced but didn't pull back. "Are you afraid?"
It was clear that she was, but to her credit, she didn't allow it to control her. The female forced a smile on her face.
"A bit," she admitted. "But this is a cheap tactic. I'm alone on your ship. Of course I'm bound to be scared.”

I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm a hopeless romantic and this book gave me romance and so much more. This is a Fantastic series it's scorching hot, sexy, and it's awesome. But if Scifi Alien-Human Military Romance isn't the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you're a fan of all things naughty, sexual tension, action and humor, this is perfect for you. Enjoy! This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list.

If you believe in the world of romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Zoey Swann and Lord Daegon of the Phon Clan. Daegon has been tasked by his Chieftan to be the representative to the Galatic Union who are coming to get the Corgan to join them. Corgan's don't do change easily and Nadar (their new Chieftan) is making a lot of them, which in turn is making a lot of problems for Daegon. When there is to much unrest within a clan they fight for leadership and with everything that is going on right now there are some Corgan that would rather fight than make deals and alliances. So when Daegon meets Zoey for the first time he is confussed about his feelings. Instead of wanting to fight her he wants to possess and protect her with everything in him. Can he come to some type of understanding with her before it is to late or will everything that is happening round them make that impossible?

Zoey was sent by the Galatic Union as the Chief Deputy of Intergalactic Relations to ensure a smooth transition of the Corgan people in to the Union. What Zoey doesn't know is that some of the Corgan's are still fighting this happening. Daegon is the person she is tasked with meeting with to ensure that Corgan people even become members of the Union. Zoey quickly learns that being there to negotiate doesn't always mean a safe comfortable environment where both parties talk. Sometimes it is showing what your worth to that the people you are trying to get to join you respect you when the discussions are done. The other thing Zoey learns is you can never know when the person you are meant to be with will be dropped in your life. Though Daegon and Zoey have a lot to contend with before even considering being with one another, Zoey wonders will she even survive long enough to find out?

This is an action packed hold on to your seat it will be a bumpy ride kind of book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. This book has many ups and downs I want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin any of the surprises that come in different points in this book. I will say this is an amazing story that will have you rooting for the characters one moment and wanting to slap them in the next. I would highly recommend this story to anyone and everyone.

One thing I've learned over the past few months is that Vi Voxley writes stories that I can't put down and series that keep her in my top three sci-fi romance authors. This second book in her Alien Warlord's Conquest series falls under an overarching storyline, one that was put in place in Book One. Books one and three can standalone, but for me, this book benefits from having read book one first.
After the events of book one, the Galactic Union has sent Zoey Swann as an ambassador to the Corgans to negotiate their entry into the Union. On the Corgan side, the Chieftain has appointed Daegon, the new Warlord of the Phon Clan, to represent them. Fresh from putting down a rebellion against him and the Union by several of his men, Daegon greets the ambassador with masked hostility. Despite his own concerns about the Union, Daegon is determined to meet with the Union's rep and come to his own conclusions. Before their meeting can begin, however, he receives word from the bridge that they are under attack by a border enemy, the Yemalins. Sending Zoey behind him to safety, he is later dismayed to find she was the target all along and that she was kidnapped while "fodder" distracted him. But he is later enraged when he is told a Corgan warlord is acting in league with their enemy. And there is much more at stake now than he could have ever dreamed before meeting the beautiful Terran.

DAEGON(Alien Warlord's Conquest) by Vi Voxley

Zoe Swann is a diplomat for the Galactic Union, and deals with keeping the peace within the many races. When she's sent to talk to a warlord of the Corgans about joining the Union, his not very forthcoming. Daegon is a fierce warrior and is not easily convinced, and Zoey is stronger and more persistent than he first assumes. He doesn't know much about the Terran, yet he is pleasantly surprised and amused by her. But with everything that is going on, that is the least of their problems when they find an unexpected traitor in their midst. Not only does Daegon have to find the traitor and eliminate him, he has to keep Zoe alive and save a planet.

Daegon is the second book in the Alien Warlord's Conquest. I loved this book, this is such an awesome series. This book was a very entertaining and captivating read. The storyline was filled with drama, action, and romance. And I absolutely adored Daegon and Zoe. The characters were both strong, sweet and intriguing, and they shared an intense chemistry. I love this authors style of writing, she's so talented and captures every scene perfectly. She is imaginative, focused, informative, and creative. Avery exciting and enjoyable read!

I will happily drop everything when I get the notice that Vi Voxley has a new book ready and is offering ARCs. Her stories offer a heady mix of science fiction and erotica. And “Daegon: Alien Warlord’s Conquest” is no exception. This is book two in her new series about the Corgans; or more specifically, the alpha men.

If you are familiar with Voxley’s books, then you will definitely enjoy this one. While it picks up where the first book leaves off, a few months later, it is also very much its own story. And while with the Brion series, it isn’t necessary to read all the books to enjoy the individual stories, at least with this one, having read Nadar and Mara’s story does help.

In this story, Zoey Swann is tasked with bringing the Corgans under the umbrella of the Galactic Union. Things start off on the wrong foot…there’s a kidnapping…okay, more than one…space ships, holy sites, psychopaths, misunderstandings, mutual attraction, battles, unexpected allies, fear mongering, sex, mutual distractions, love, and a happily ever after.

For me, all of Voxley’s books are page turners and I’ve turned into a bit of a junkie as I gleefully jump into each new book when it comes out. This new series is no exception and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A warlord bent on keeping his people safe from the Union. But what about his hearts? A woman scared that she will be hurt doing her job, but keeps going anyway. Hardheaded as she is, she will do her best, but what if her best is for her life? There's a war brewing in their mist, will they nip it in the butt or will they fail?
Daegon is a Corgan Warlord of his clan. Even if he is kinda considered a figurehead/second in command. He only wants to protect his people. So when a slip of a woman from the Union walks in alone to negotiate with him. He can't help but feel a little impressed. But why? Why would the Union want to still join with the Corgans, if they don't like them? What's the point, he will just say no right? Or is she sent to seduce an agreement out of him?
Helen just wants to go back home. But as a negotiator of the Union. She hopes that her job to get the Corgans to agree to join the Union to be easy....maybe. But then again they are hardheaded race and don't trust that easily. So going alone is a must because they wouldn't trust her anyway right? Wrong, seeing the handsome Warlord has done nothing short of short wire her brain. Will she get the job done alive and well? Even if it's a rejected proposal to join the Union.

I am really enjoying this series on the Corgan warlords. This is the second book and equally as good as the first. The Corgan warlords are tough men but when they fall for a woman, they fall hard.

Zoey is a human sent to negotiate with Daegon to get them to join with the other races who have united. Neither expected a powerful attraction that binds them together from the first meeting. There is lots of action too as they fight to protect innocents from a massacre by invaders.

Zoey is really strong and good at coming up with solutions under pressure. She knows that becoming personally involved with Deagon is not good for her career but is willing to take a risk. Daegon has never felt so intensely about a woman and he now understands what motivated the new chieftain to take such a risk when he fell in love with a human. Their chemistry is amazing.

I would recommend reading Nadar, the first book in the series, as this does include those characters and their situation. It is a complete story and could be read as a standalone as well.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

After the second book in the series I still find I like the Brions better than the Corgans. The only distinguishing traits that I really see about the Corgans as a people is that they are insular, stubborn, use two swords to fight, are overprotective--oh and they only believe in removing their partner's clothes by ripping them off. I'm serious about that. The heroine makes a point of it in the epilogue, as if we hadn't noticed throughout the whole book and the one before. I have to say that I am not a fan of heroines who place themselves in danger over and over--how many times did Zoey find herself with the villain's sword at her throat? There's definitely plenty of sex scenes with many compliments on how endowed the hero is. I just found it somewhere between okay and a like. I kept picking it up and putting it down to read other things in between. I hope that the series gets its legs under it with the next book and lives up to the greatness of the Brions series.

Zoey, a Galactic Union rep, and Corgan Warlord, Daegon, sizzle from the moment they meet in this awesome alien romance. Her mission is to convince Daegon that the Corgan people should join the Union, but before she has a chance, Daegon's ship is attacked, setting the tone for most of this book, which is packed with action and romance. Zoey and Daegon make an unbeatable team as they stand together in love and war. I love that Zoey is not content to sit on the sidelines, and throws herself wholeheartedly into the battle and that Daegon would give his life to protect her if necessary. I have read every book written by Vi Voxley and they just keep getting better and better. She is a master of scifi romance. I loved this book and can't wait for the next one.

Zoey Swann was sent to talk the Cogan into joining the Galactic union. A union most of the Cogan hate.
She makes it over to the Cogan representative's ship the Wraith and thing are going ok. There is far more attention between the two of them then she had thought possible but the the ship's klaxon goes off.
Daegon, Lord if the phon clan could not keep his eyes off the women the humans had sent if this was a trick to have him fall for her he would kill them. There really was something special about Terran women because the woman in front of him was stunning. His ships went off reporting that her ship was disstroied and they were under attack.
New bad guys! The yemalan! Fantastic action and deep story line with wonderful characters. I totally loved it, it your a SyFy fun like me this story is going to make your day and a must add to your SyFy library.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Totally enjoyable. Zoey is an Diplomat with the Galactic Union and is sent to talk to one of the Corgans ,a general called Daegon into joining the Union. The General is not going to be easy to convince. But Zoey is no wilting flower. She is intelligent and resourceful. Daegon has not had much to do with Terrans and is about to be surprised. They story unfolds with Yemalan a nasty alien race trying to start a war with the Corgans and Zoey ends up being in the middle of it. The story has lots of suspense and Daegon and Zoey find out that time is short and love is eternal. Thank you to Vi Voxley for the amazing review book. Loved it. Highly recommend this author and her books.

Loved it, great series

Loved Daegon and Zoey! Warlord Daegon was sent by Chieftain Nadar Brenger to discuss the Corgan's joining the Union. Daegon doesn't understand or agree with much his Chieftain is doing, but he doesn't feel the need to challenge him, yet. In the middle of negotiations Daegon's ship is attacked by the Yemalans, and Zoey is taken. A plot is uncovered that will destroy the Corgons. Zoey and Daegon make a powerful team, and fall in love along the way. I love Chieftain Brenger, he is five moves ahead of everything. A fun, fast paced, and steamy story. Can't wait for Soros!

This book is a lot of fun. The heroine is smart and the hero is too. The action is no stop and the world building is good. The romance is of the insta love kind and could have used more development but it feels like they do have a relationship worth reading about.

This series and the connected one Brion Brides are fun popcorn books. I really enjoy them. I would like more development of the romance and more time after things calm down to make them books I will reread but at 99 cents and on Kindle Unlimited I gobble them up!

I'm in love!

While this there are only three books in this series, I am hoping that there will be more. The story was riveting. I gave up a nap to finish the book! It was worth it. The characters had so much depth, that I loved and admired them both. Their love story was not based on sex and rolling around on the bed, although you could sense the growing passion. And for those of us who like a good war, the story does not disappoint.
So,grab all three books, a good snack, and settle down for a good read. I'm going to get the last of the series and hope that there will be a number 4, 5, etc.y

The rush and excitement of reading Ms. Voxley's Alien novels are not to be taken lightly! Daegon is a Corgan warlord and Ms. Voxley writes him with all the attitude, strength and muscle and looks and...well anyway, Zoey is no pushover either and her personality and heroism shines through this story like a beacon while she tries to form an alliance with the Corgans. There is smoking hot attraction, scorching intimacy and adrenaline thrills that make this book too good to set down! Gosh I love this series!

If you have read the Brion Brides series you will love this series as well. The second in the series, Daegon is a Corgan Warlord and all Alpha...not much is known about them and that's the way they want to keep it! Zoey Swann is a feisty Terran diplomat assigned to bring their worlds together. Neither was counting on the attraction that drew them together or the evil they are forced to fight. Action packed, page turner and of course steaming hot romance. Love these alien warlords and the strong women that love them. Standalone with a HEA ..I was gifted an ARC for an honest review!

Vi Voxley is amazing writer, this is the second book in her new series, but it based off of the Brin bride series. I love has them written in has a candid shot. I do hope like this one the books in the series will include all the couple one or another but give them there own story like deacon and Zoey. I am not sure if I want to cry or laugh so hard with them. Passion and the antic that Zoey pushes was hard not to. You never run out adventure in this story. I was given this story for a honest review.

Another great sci-fi romance book.

This story picked up where the first in this series ended. The new H/h are again fighting the good fight. I find that the insta-love in these books with aliens and Terrans.......aka Humans, to be entirely believable. The intensity of the initial attraction is that great. These books tie in with the Brion series. I enjoyed this book greatly and plan to watch for more. I expect many more good books from Ms. Voxley. I highly recommend this book as a great read. Happy reading! SQ

Daegon is a Corgan's Corgan, and right now that means he's torn between keeping out of the Galactic Union as most Corgans want and obeying the new Chieftain. Because the new Chieftain Nadar wants to join and share their Holy World. Zoey is the Union's diplomat sent to convince the Congans to join and play nice. Good thing Zoey is very good at her job and is also tenacious and fierce.

I love the SciFi action and there is plenty. The writing style and plot line draw you in. And the romance is romance not gratuitous sex. Although when they come together is is hot!

** 3.5 Stars **

I really like how this series is developing thus far. Vi Voxley's writing is on point and I totally can get behind both of the main characters. It is fast paced and there were times when I thought the good guys just couldn't catch a break! Zoey takes her job as diplomat seriously, some of her actions can be viewed as reckless and Daegon had to fight hard to rescue her. There is an insta-love in this book but not as jaring as the first one. I'm pretty much satisfied and looking forward to the next book.

Paint a picture on the inside of my skull.

I want my own personal Corgan. Every good romance needs a damsel in distress unless she wants to be the hero. The plot written with expert description draws readers into a new world. If you liked the Brions you won't believe what you get with the Corgans. Nadar opened the door but Daegon takes you across the Galaxy. Kidnappings invaders space battles seduction and a tricky heroine who rescues herself.

I received an arc for an honest....blah blah. Read this book, you won't regret it.

Oh I'm enjoying this new series.

I think the Corgan's will give the Brion boys are real run for their money. Vi Voxley's new series is shaping up to be another winner and the Terran women are so lucky, lucky, lucky... Battles, bad aliens, a stubborn woman matched to an equally stubborn, some might even say arrogant, warrior and you have an adventure mixed with the hot factor that is almost supernova in its intensity. With two more books in this series to read and catch up on, I can't wait to see what else Vi has in store for me.

This was another good book in the series.

Smart heroine, big Bad Protective Alien Hero and they can't resist each other.

Betrayals, other creepy little aliens:

A surprise twist ending and a check-in with the couple from the first book.

Very satisfying. Sigh. :)
