“Carl Struthers”—when I heard the name, my heart fluttered and my jaw dropped.
Once upon a time, I knew a young man by that name. He was simple, sweet, and sexy, and we briefly shared something very special. But, that was a long time ago, and a lot has happened since then… And, now, for the first time in 12 years, Carl Struthers’ name has come up again—as the primary suspect in the murder investigation I’ve been assigned to.
Could the simple, sweet, sexy man I used to know really be a “bad guy” now? Sure, he broke my heart and did a few other questionable things—but, is he capable of murder?
Gator
I’m a biker and an outlaw who’s been around the block a few times. So, I guess you could say I got a lot of skeletons in my closet…
And, now, I got a dead body there too, and a ghost from my past investigating it. Detective J.T. Knowles and I used to be an “item” back in the day, but we haven’t seen each other in over a decade.
But, now that a dead junkie turned up on her watch, and I’ve been linked to the crime, she’s back in my life, and, if I play my cards right, I might be back in the game… Now, ain’t that a happy coincidence?
4 Star Kindle Unlimited Read I fell for Gator before I was half way through the first chapter. The young man was just surrounded by Shitty mates and Shit adults.
I also fell for Jessica (JT), with the first words she spoke to Gator. She took to heart not judging a person by their trappings.
These two were perfect for each and were each other's first everything. Then the adults interfered. Life went on and they were separated.
Fait stepped in- well a murder happened 12-years later and they crossed paths. The flame still burns, but can the differences in life situations and locations keep them apart.
Maybe Faith Winslow will revisit this couple down the road and they will find themselves happy together.
Again for the story content nothing more. Again I hate cliffhangers or for certain scenes to not be complete. You have been building the suspense in these certain scenes & then leaving them high & dry. UGH!! The stories themselves are really great & they are the reason I keep going. Another factor is the clubs vigilance to staying to what they believe in. So yeah these books are only getting 3's due to personal preferences.
This was different from book 1. Gator and JT fell in love when they first meet and then people and thing got in the way. They were apart but danger and murder for them back in each other's lives. I just didn't like that she didn't say she was gonna move to L.A to be closer to him. But hey they are together and I can't wait to hear what happens with that. I'm enjoying this series.
Gator was given his nickname by a very special girl on a really important day. That day and night defined him and turned him into the person he was meant to be. It was his badge of honour, and after carrying it around for years he finally gets to meet up with the woman he’d coveted for twelve years, only she’s in danger. Gator is the sweetest biker and I loved every minute of the book based on his life. J.T. is a woman who can hold her own, but she’s been keeping the pain of abandonment inside for years. When they get together it just feels right, but times are really difficult with the Wolves right now. A great detective novel, romance, and motorcycle gang story. A fantastically mixed genre with good flow, and an addictive ongoing storyline.
OK, we have to find Katy...we have to keep the "gang" together...even if that means bringing in the new women for our men Hammer and Gator ! Faith, I know you have it in you and will be looking forward to much more of the Wolves MC !!! Hugs...Kathy
O.m.g. just finished reading this book and I have to say that I'm so loving this series, I love hammer story but I love this one even more love to read about Gator and how he was name I love it more
This is the second book in the Riding With Wolves series. This book is an amazing read, I loved how well the characters are developed and how well the story was written. I cant wait to read the next book in this series.
this was soooo much better than hammer and Rachel's story. it didn't seem rushed. I realize what faith is trying to do with the Katy cliffhanger and that's fine. I'm just happy the 2nd installment didn't end as abruptly as the first one.
