Ripple Effect

by Hadley Hoover

Zeke needs to fill a hole from his past. Eddie longs to find a home now. Hélène seeks to fuel hope for her future. And it all converges in a most unlikely Crosby, North Dakota.

Excitement from the annual Threshing Show throbs in this little town. Midst all the hoop-la, an unlikely trio crosses an author who has lost his muse, and much more; a homeless man living a hard-scrabble existence; and a deflated woman whose husband deserted their marriage. Can three strangers help each other fill . . . find . . . fuel? Is it possible to transform the past, or renovate the present, or change the future?

I feel so sorry for the h from Storm Path whose husband cheated on her. She goes back to him in this book a few years later. We’re just supposed to feel sorry for him and her daughters guilt her into it. Such a fucking mess.
