U.S. Marshal Frank Castello is on medical leave and feeling restless. While at his friends’ wedding he finds himself attracted to Sydney Peele. Problem was, the cute, sassy blonde is the photographer for the wedding. Frank hates photographers. They’re a hazard to his profession, especially when he’s on witness protection duty.

Sydney Peele is intrigued by the grumpy Marshal at her friend’s wedding, even when the big, sexy man begrudgingly offers to take her home afterwards. Her pleasure is short lived when her home and life is literally going up in flames. Her brother had been staying at her home and there is no sign of him anywhere.

When Sydney goes into a state of frozen shock, finely honed instinct has Castello rushing her from the scene to safety at his home. A visit to the fire scene the next day confirms his suspicions when the firemen on the sight confirm it a case of arson.

As Frank and Sydney search for answers about who might’ve started the blaze, questions arise about her brother, also a photographer. Was he responsible for the fire? Or has he exposed his sister to something far more sinister?

Currently working on more books for her Edgars Family series (KIDNAPPED, HUNTED, SEIZED, VANISHED, EXPOSED, UNMASKED and SHANGHAIED, part of a pre-WWII spy-chaser spin-off series) and the Westen Series (Close To Home, Close To The Edge, Close To The Fire, Close To Christmas, Close To The Mistletoe, Close To Santa’s Heart and Close To Danger), Suzanne hopes to bring readers more passionate and suspenseful books to fill your reading moments.

Wow!!! I have been waiting for this book for awhile, anxiously waiting to read about US Marshall Frank Castello. I have loved every book in this series but Frank makes you swoon!! He is gruff, tidy, protective and so sexy! He meets Sydney, the photographer, at a mutual friend's wedding. When he ends up taking Sydney home her house is on fire and there is an explosion. Needless to say Frank goes into protective mode and swoops Sydney away to his house. Of course all of the Edgars are in this book to help out, which is always great to see. It was an easy love story, no angst or major issues. Sydney is spunky and just perfect for Frank. Suzanne has a way of making you feel like you are friends with the characters in her books and you miss them when the book is over. I so did not want this book to end. Hope there will be more to this series!

This is book #5 in the Edgars Family series. I read the others quite a while ago, not really sure why I didn’t finish this one sooner. It was good to come back home to the Edgars family and the gruff and grumpy, fiercely loyal, hunk that is US Marshall Frank Castello. How I’ve missed this family!

Even though Frank knows the Edgars think of him as part of their close-knit family, he tends to stay in the background as an observer rather than a participant. He just can’t get over how they’ve accepted him as one of their own. At Luke and Abby’s wedding, Frank meets photographer, Sydney. He hates photographers. She’s no different. He tries as hard as he can to keep her at arm’s length, but when he ends up taking her home after the wedding there’s no way he can leave her alone. You see, her house has gone up in flames and as they’re watching there is an explosion that totally destroys Sydney’s house. Frank knows she’s not safe. He’s a protector, he can’t leave her to fend for herself.

One thing leads to another and before you know it, Frank and all the Edgar brothers are involved in another “off the record” crime where they may, or may not, have to use some “off the record” tactics to solve. As all the others in this series, the story is fast-paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

How I missed this series. Love the Edgars and finally getting close family friend U.S. Marshal Frank Castello story was a real treat.

Grumpy Frank has accepted his place in the Edgars family but still tries to stand back more as an observer. Well when Sydney Peele comes crashing into his life that's no longer an option.

This author has a gift of writing on the edge suspense. Right from the first chapter your hooked and its never a dull moment until the final chapter. As with each of the books in the series all the Edgars are back to help as one of the themes through out the series is the strong family bond and family always helps family.

There were a few loose threads left at the end (no cliffhangers) that I hope means we will get more books in this series.

I have to say, out of all the characters in the series I was excited for this one the most, Frank Castello has been a huge part of the family and I really wanted him to get his happy ending at some point .. but I had an issue with Sydney.. she is strong and determined but .. I don't know, something about her kept bugging me throughout the story .. then I realized she is too emotional for Frank, I imagined him with someone who lets her brain rule her rather than her heart .. it was an alright read, but I wanted someone better for Frank

Another stunning book in the Edgars Family Novels! This is romantic suspense at it's best!

Exposed is theoretically the final book in the Edgars series and it was outstanding, as were the previous novels!
Kind and thoughtful photographer Sydney (do not call her Syd) meets gruff Marshall Frank at an edgars Family wedding! Frank is protective by nature and occupation and quickly goes on high alert when Sydney's house blows up! The pulsepounding thriller ensues!
This exciting story is heartwarming, tearworthy and steamy! The large and welcoming Edgars clan are the kind of family we all wished for as we grew up! The wonderful large family of my best friend were surrogate parents and siblings for me growing up! Maybe that's why I love the Edgars so much! Fiercely loyal, supportive and a force to be reconned with in times of trouble!
As I neared the end of Exposed I cried for the loss of my book family who had become so close to my heart! I feel blessed to have the experience of reading these incredible stories, exquisitely written by Suzanne Ferrell! Goodbye old friends, from a way to sentimental book friend!

Really enjoyed reading this story!

Loved the primary characters. Sidney was a perfect fit for our favorite marshal. Too bad her brother was an idiot. Will read more of this series.

We first met Deputy US Marshal Frank Castello in Matt and Katie’s story, “Hunted,” and as he became a member of the Edgars family, more and more glimpses into his life appeared. And now he finally gets his own story. Frank’s one of those heroes I love – quiet, resolute, and absolutely committed to his family and friends. The fact that he is older is icing on the cake (I get a bit tired reading about heroes and heroines that are young enough to be my kids – life and love does not end at forty). Sydney Peele is perfect for him – sassy, sharp, and loyal to her friends. Life has handed both of them a bit of a raw deal and yet they don’t allow that to make them bitter or withdrawn. As with the rest of this series, the action begins with a bang (literally) and then never really lets up. While the focus is on Frank, Sydney, the mystery of why someone wants her dead, and their growing relationship, we still get to catch up with the other members of the Edgars family. Ms. Ferrell’s writing is crisp and fast paced. A couple of notable mistakes prevented me from giving this book five stars: “marshall” instead of “marshal” in at least one place and “interstate” rather than the correct “intrastate” or “inter-league” when referring to a baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians. Since the Edgars and, now Frank, have found their HEA, I’m hoping to see whether Ms. Ferrell continues the series. Considering what happens at the end, I’m figuring this won’t be the last we read about this terrific family.

3 1/2 stars really..

So, this was pretty good but it was way too long. I did find myself skimming, trying to get to something interesting or exciting. This book didn’t really have to be 424 pages. I did like Sydney and Frank, and they did add a lot to the story but still…

I also liked seeing the Edgars brothers and their friends: Matt, Lucas, Dave, Jake and Doyle. They were fantastic characters, as was the adorable Jontae, Sydney’s BFF.

It was a good story about murder, dirty politicians, hired hitmen, sex and love. Everything you could ask for in a book, but not so much useless information was needed.

There was definitely sex in this book, very explicit sex but not erotic sex. And the F-bomb was used 10 times.

As to the narrator: Hmmm.. I guess he was ok. I mean, really, when you’re sitting in a restaurant talking about who killed a cop and what’s going to be done to take down the killer you shouldn’t be yelling about it, and Paul Boehmer did just that. His women’s voices were just ok, too. I wasn’t impressed with his narration but if I wanted to listen to a book and he was the narrator I would listen to him.

I read the first book in this Series and now #5, and I sure did miss a lot between 1 and 5, as it appears the Edgar family saw a lot of action and faced numerous dangers. Plus, there have been some weddings and babies since Book 1. This time it the U.S. Marshal Frank Castello whom the Edgar family considers family, that takes center stage. He really isn't into weddings and especially hates wedding photos, but that is until he meets the cute little wedding photographer, Syndey, at Luke and Abby's wedding. Somehow, Syndey gets to grumpy Frank and puts a smile on his face. Once Syndey finds herself the target of a gun of hire, Frank summons all the Edgars, yes even the brother on his honeymoon, to make sure his new found love is safe.
Syndey's problems all stem from her brother's selfish and illegal actions. I have to say her brother tops my unofficial list of "Worst Book Brothers" ever. Really, how could he not even care for his sister's safety?
This story has action scenes, political intrigue, stong family ties, and some hot bedroom action. This is not a cliff-hanger, but not all the story lines are concluded by the end of the book.

Yet another fantastic book in the Edgars Family Series. Great to see the Marshal finally showing his softer side.

Frank has been one of favourite characters since book two - Hunted - when he was first introduced and has proved that he belongs in the Edgars fold. Sydney is another strong character who unwittingly has bad stuff happen to her. Finding herself under the protection of Frank and having someone show that they care is a new concept to her.

These books never fail to provide action, thrills and romance. I hope that there is still more to come as I really enjoy finding out how their lives are progressing. Also intrigued about the new situation they all find themselves in now (no spoilers!)

US Marshall, Frank is on medical leave, today being at the wedding of one in the Edgar’s family. They are loyal, and think of him as one of them. He works with witness protection, and having multiple safe house. A photographer who is a friend of Ashley to take pictures of the wedding.has come. From first meeting he is put on alert, doesn’t trust them, and pictures causes him problems Giving her a ride to her home, few minutes later to see it explode. An older brother, who causes big problems, yet able to come out with great pictures, had just come, to stay a few days. Who is behind this, has her brother gotten caught in the wrong crossfire. Or for both, in a picture that people didn’t want anyone to see. Another good story that keeps one intrigue to figure out why to the end.

So Marshal Frank Castello has a heart after all. The crusty friend (don't you love it when someone is called "crusty"?) of the Edgars clan is benched after being shot during a takedown of a militia group.

He has been called on the carpet by his boss about "off the books" investigations and he promises not to do it again. However, he meets Sydney Peele at an Edgars wedding and drives her home. He thinks she's cute, she thinks he's hot, and then her house burns down. Presto - they're on the run and Frank is in trouble, in more ways than one.

Lots of action and a good storyline here. I'm still waiting for Doyle's story, Ms. Ferrell!

Here can you read the whole review. :)

I love Sydney who is a great character and she brings out more of Frank and the book is really funny sometimes. The book would have been a clear five star if it was not for the loose ends and questions I had in the end. No cliffhangers but it was just some small thinks that made the story unfinished. According to Ferrells answers here on Goodreads, she will write more about the Edgars family in the future, but it may be some changes to series and what nots. So i´m really excited about that.

I liked Syd until she decided to be an idiot but luckily Frank redeemed the story. Frank finally getting his story was everything. Sydney’s blind faith in her brother irritated me but thankfully she came around. It was great to see the Edgar’s rallying around them.

Normally anytime I read a book by this author she gets an automatic 5 stars. Unfortunately im only giving 4 for this book due to the fact I feel it ended without everything being solved. I will start out saying that I really enjoyed this book castello has always been a favorite of mine and couldn't wait to read his book. The chemistry with him and Sydney was great. If not for the fact that I felt the story ended before being complete due to the fact the brother was not brought to justice it definitely would have received a 5 star rating.

It's been a while

Since I've read a Suzanne Ferrell novel. Shame on me! Don't ask me why. I have no idea. I've certainly been depriving myself some good writing. Exposed is the last one in the the Edgar family books. It's one of read again in a heartbeat. Now I intend to go back and start with book one. Thank you Suzanne, for having your books, in Kindle Unlimited. It makes it possible to reach more people, who otherwise could not afford your books. I read two to three books a day. Kindle Unlimited has been such a joy for me. Thank you again!!

I think I'm a long lost cousin....

I love this series! The author knows how to bring her characters to life so you're right there, best friends, feeling the suspense, family love and aahing along with the rest of the family as love comes to each of the Edgars' clan. I love the suspense that builds and the twists that make you think as you read. Each character has their own special personality and I've looked forward to Frank's story. This author can't disappoint! Another great story !

I was waiting for this book a long time. I am a huge fan of Ferrell and the Edgars series. I have re-read Jake and Sami's story four times, it's so good.
this book was also good but it didn't grasp me like the others. the writing is great and we get to know Frank a lot better. I just felt like the storyline was more been there/done that.
Still giving four stars because of characters and writing.
If you have read the other read this, if you haven't read the other Edgars family you need to!

Be still my heart. Frank Castello has been a rock through this series. There for everyone when needed and a man of few words. He is a loner with no family so the Edgars family as adopted him. He meets a woman who he is drawn to and when she finds herself in danger and no home to go to, he swoops in to save the day! I was pure joy seeing him fall in love and get the girl! No shortage of excitement, danger, thrills and steam! Excellent books and narration.

Loved it

I waited on Costello story awhile and it was worth the wait. I absolutely loved it! I had to laugh at Frank's one and two word answers. Sydney had her work cut out for her trying to get answers to her questions. I liked catching up with all the Edgars. Great read! I highly recommend!!

Frank and Sydney are explosive. A++++

Excellent book, not that I'm surprised, all of the Edgar''s Family Novels are wonderful. So glad Frank finally gets his happily ever after and I just love Sydney, she is perfect for him. Looking forward to more books from Suzanne. I'm excited about the possibility of "Edgars Personal Security" books in the future.

Fast paced crime fiction

I haven't read the previous novels in the series, but I enjoyed this book, which is the fifth. An unscrupulous photographer causes havoc in his sister's life, but she's a friend of the Edgars family, who help her save her life. There's also romance and a happy ending. A pleasant read.

A photo tells it all.

Syd is at the center of a big problem and Frank Castillo steps up to help in this Edgars family novel. Suzanne Ferrell has once again provided hair raising action with a little hot romance. It seems this family is all for one and one for all. I love this series!!!

Definitely the series gets better with each book. This one actually has layers and complexity that is a bit far fetch but it’s a great fictional suspense. I’ve said it before, writing suspense alongside a romance is not easy. It takes great talent to make sure that one aspect doesn’t overshadow the other. Very well done. The Author needs an applause.

I've read all of the Edgars family series and have enjoyed all of them. I have been waiting for the US Marshall Castello to have his story.

This is the best of the series. It's even better with the audible version.

I am glad Frank got his lady. I hope now that we were introduced to Zoe in Capital Danger we can have a book and love interest for her, she is family. I thought there was mention of a Frank having a sister, but now it states he is an only child.

Another great story!!

The tale of Frank and Sydney is involved and fun to read. She is a target through no fault of her own. Frank protects her, even if she is a photographer. Most of the Edgars. Family are in the story, so you get to catch up on all the family happenings.
