Elysium
The story ends
it's you, it's me, it's us, it's forever

With Nico by his side, Ryan says goodbye to his old life and moves away, leaving his job and his hometown behind him.
Ready for a fresh new start together, Ryan and Nico settle down into a slower and easier lifestyle and life becomes as perfect as they could wish for.

“I can’t believe I’m leading you to my bedroom. I never thought I would get the chance to do it, I never thought I could be this happy.” I smile then start walking again.

When Ryan is unexpectedly reminded of the life he happily walked away from, his world is turned upside down when he gets notice of news that he never expected to hear. Ryan is tormented by what is being asked of him; the very thing he was promised would never be asked of him again.

Nico laughs then looks at where my eyes are fixed. “Who’s that?”

“That’s the man who can come between us.” My voice no more than a whisper as a shiver of dread runs down my spine.

A man Nico once knew returns, and Nico wishes he'd never caught up with Lyle. His ploy to keep Lyle away from Ryan fails and Lyle tells all about his previous connection to Nico. Ryan takes off, leaving no clues as to where he's gone and Nico is devastated believing that Ryan has left him.
When Ryan finally returns home; so does his past and he is forced to visit an old friend. But things are not what they seem and Ryan must fight as hard as he can to keep himself safe.
Maybe the perfect life with a happy ever after just isn't in the cards for Ryan and Nico after all.

Reading this may seriously raise you blood pressure, contains lots of hot scenes of sex between two men and has strong language throughout.

Hiding behind a quiet unassuming facade J J reads and writes hot sexy stories. Stories of men loving men as well as women loving men.
What would the neighbors think!!

As long as the men are hot alpha's and the women are strong in their own right then they have a place in J J's books.

JJ also has a kinkier side and writes under the name of AG Silver. So, make sure you look out for those books too.

Great read if....you enjoy MM books, the other books in the series, hot sex scenes, plot twists, and an HEA.

Side note: This was an interesting twist to the series. It was also nice to see Ryan's background a little more considering it was military. I loved that their love was strong and they were willing to whatever it took to make it work. I loved the supporting cast. There were only two complaints I had and one I had made before but it seemed to get too strong to ignore this book and it was the overabundance of sex. Like, every few pages as if it was the only way to demonstrate their chemistry. I found it rather unnecessary and overused by the end of the book. Also, the over use of exclamation points. They were on the overused side as well. Over all this series was sexy and interesting and a beautiful testament to second chance loves. Well done!

What a great addition to a wonderful series. I am so in love with these guys and their stories. They have accomplished so much and gone through hell to get there.
Book 3 picks up right where the second one ended. Nico takes Ryan back home with him to heal. When a enemy from the past comes back Ryan is forced with the decision on to help a old friend or forget the past and move on.
Ahhh! I am so sad that this series has come to a end but so glad I got to read their story. The characters are fantastic, the stories wonderful and the writing is great. This book and series is a definite must read. .

As and avid reader and one who especially likes to read series, sometimes it's very sad reading the conclusion to a series you've become invested in. And while I am sad to see this series end I'm not sad that it's over. The final installment in this series was so well written that you realize the ending of this series is just the beginning in Ryan and Nico's future.

Ryan and Nico's story is one of love, loss, second chances, and an enduring love that has stood the test of time. Of never losing site of what's in your heart even if it hurts.
After being seperated for a decade these two amazing men find their way back to one another and also find that the love they have for one anofher is still there and stronger then it was.

Book 3 picks up with Ryan and Nico leaving their hometown and all the bad memories from there behind them and returning to Nico's home. As they move forward with their new lives Ryan is haunted by a part of his past he's trying to lay to rest. As the memories and ghost's from the past continue to plague him he realizes the only way to put the past behind him is to step back into it. Ryan and Nico make the decision that Ryan should leave and while it guts them both it has to happen in order for them to look to the future. While not giving anything away I just want to say I was not disappointed.

For me this story has it all. More love then I thought could possibly be squeezed into one book.
Off the charts chemisrty that had my reader smoking on more the one occasion. And enough intrigue that it kept me riveted to the edge of my seat.

I have become a huge fan of this author and am anxiously waiting to see what she gives us next.

What a great way to end the series. I'm sad that it's over with but so happy for Ryan and Nico to finally have their happy ending. All three books just flow together perfectly. If you have no read Reunion or Reunited you are missing out big time. Go on the journey with Ryan and Nico to find out that love has no bounds.

ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review

At the end of the second book we've left Nico & Ryan moving from their hometown to have a fresh start in another place. They are happy to leave behind all the bad experiences and memories.

They've gone through hell and back and their love has stayed strong more then ever.

"with Ryan here with me now I feel I'm where I'm supposed to be." - Nico

All seems really perfect. But have you ever experienced the feeling when things are so perfetcs that you start thinking something is wrong, that something bad is about to happen? Well, there you go!

The past is always chasing them trying to steal away their happiness. They have promised each other no more secrets, but something hasn't been told, yet.

A nasty guy from Nico's past reveals to Ryan they've had an "affair" making Ryan believe that it was more than a casual encounter. Ryan freaks out and runs away. But, as a character, Ryan has grown up from the previous two books, and this time he comes back to Nico, hurt but ready to know the truth, and fight for their love. I think his decision is also guided by the fact the he's hiding something from Nico, too. His past in the Army is calling him back to save his buddy for the second time .

Ryan has saved him in Afghanistan and now he has to save him from a dangerous lie and dengerous people, a lie that can cost them their lives.

I really liked the scenes where Ryan reveals to Nico the truth about the ambush in Afghanistan that killed Ryan's crew, and the operation set up to save Ben. So well written and engaging, they kept me glued to the book. I'd have loved to see some more action.

And between romance, laughters, tears and mistery, there is great, super hot sex. For Ryan and Nico every moment or situation is good to have sex... maybe too much. Don't get me wrong, I love them, they really make me hot, but the book could have been great even with less sex scenes, giving more space to the mistery plot (JJ I think you could write a good military book).

In this book there are some secodary intriguing characters that can be really good "material" for some new books or new series, as Troy (I'm in love with this boy!), Lucas and Ben.

Elysium is the end of this great, hot series. I've fallen in love with my boys since page 1 of book 1. They have taken me through the journey of their love, not easy, not perfetc, but worth it... OMG the epilogue made me cry in happiness.

"You are my heaven Nico, my nirvana, my Elysium" - Ryan

Nico & Ryan's story is about so many things, good and bad, full of emotions, a love that has stood the test of time.

I will really miss My Boys, but I think JJ Haper will reward her readers with more amzing books!!

'I haven't met someone and fallen in love,I've gotten the only man I ever loved back after 10 damn long years,I've got my man back' (Nico)

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, having read the previous two books ,I was interested in seeing how Ryan and Nico's story would go and if they would get their HEA.

This picks up from where 'Reunited' finished,Ryan and Nico have returned to where Nico lived.Troy is as ever the 'Diva' and is happy for Nico to have 'his man' back in his life. There is drama in the form of Lyle (Nico's ex-well one night stand really),which leads to slight misunderstanding/insecurities coming to light from Ryan's perspective-which does get resolved fairly quickly-I did feel that throughout the story,Ryan and Nico were 'at it like rabbits! this book does have a fair bit of very explicit sex scenes-and yes they were HOT,but for me,perhaps one too many, however,it didn't put me off reading as the character's are likeable and you do get the feeling that after all the time apart, its simply making up for those years without each other.

Now there is also the matter of a secret from Ryan's past which does add to the storyline, and from about 75% onwards this comes to light and Ryan has to deal with the situation-there are other characters introduced which are from another series by this author(and as a result I am interested in reading their stories-yet more to add to my TBR list!)
I don't want to give all that much more as regards to the past of Ryan,as if I did it would give way too much away.

I did enjoy the Epilogue,as it does end well for both Ryan and Nico, and the series as a whole is one that I would and will read again, and that is all down to the writing.

'You are my heaven,Nico,my nirvana,my Elysium'(Ryan)

This is the final book in this series for Nico and Ryan. So sad, but the author does a find job on how it was ended. This book picks up where it left off in book 2. Ryan moves with Nico to start over; however, starting over may just not be in the cards for Nico and Ryan. Ryan gets an unexpected blast from his past and he has to battle this and see how he can overcome this. All I can say is that darn glad that Nico had the connections he had or this would not have turned out the way we seen and would have devastated us and them.

Nico starts to regret his last decision before finding Ryan again cause he is back to taunt Ryan mostly, but Nico as well. These men really show that they are each other soul mates and that while it may not be perfect all the time for them that they can and will hurdle past the bad to get their HEA.

Boy, I thought the sex was on fire in the other two books and I was wrong. This was by far the hottest one. The chemistry these two have is the shut. Inquiring minds what to know how many bed sheets they have to stock on? haha

This is definitely, a series you want to read if you like reading M/M and a little suspense in your books. Sad to see them go, but I hope to see more on the blast from the past, Ben or awesome, Troy. There's a story behind that one and it will either rock us or destroy us based upon what we know of his past. Hopefully, we will get to read more on these secondary characters and see snippets of Nico and Ryan. Don't want to leave spoilers, but wow that ending was the icing to the cake for ending this series. HEA it is for these two cause they finally got to where they need to be and then some.

*** Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie in exchange for a fair and honest review. ***

Ryan decides to move in with Nico, leaving his job and hometown behind, but someone from his past comes crashing into his present.

Ryan and Nico still have to work through several issues from their past, trust is easily put to the test as Ryan meets with someone from Nico's past who reveals a hard truth that makes him re-think whether or not he made the right decision by moving in with Nico. And when Ryan is contacted by someone from his army past, they will have to come to terms with the fact that happily ever after might not be in the cards for them.

I think out of the three books this was my favorite. Both subplots made it so that we had more of a glimpse of Nico and Ryan having to work through their problems in a more mature way and not just through sex, although there's still plenty of that. It was nice to have Ben's POV interwoven into the book and while that particular plotline was a bit over the top, it still felt realistic enough considering what we've seen of the army in the past years.

I don't particularly care for Nico, but he got better in this book, despite a few questionable decisions and I was happy to see another side of Ryan, other than him overreacting with some of the things he found out about Ryan.

All in all, it was a nice wrap-up to the series. All questions were answered and we got a lovely glimpse into Nico and Ryan's life in the future.

Just how much can Ryan and Nico go through before they find their happy ending…
Ryan and Nico have packed up Ryan’s solo life back in their hometown and gone to live in Nico’s house, but still they are battling their past, but when ghosts come back to haunt you, do you embrace them or exorcise them. For Ryan and Nico, the path to their Elysium is about to be tested once and for all!

“You are my heaven Nico, my nirvana, my Elysium.”

OMG!! This trilogy is an absolute must read. Ryan and Nico will steal your hearts and not give it back! This book had my emotions all over the place, from Ryan’s past to the love they had for each other…I swooned so much at this book. JJ Harper really did a number on me with this one, I loved the other two books but this one…this blew me away. She stepped her writing skills up a notch to bring out an awesome, gritty, emotional book with an everlasting love of two people who were just meant to be.

“Never Nico, I will never be without you again. I won’t let anyone pull us apart. You are it baby, I promise you I will never leave you.”

If you’ve read reunion and Reunited and not got round Elysium yet then drop everything and put this at the top of your TBR and read this, I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. Ryan and Nico have stolen a piece of my heart forever and JJ has fast gone on to my auto one-click. Thankyou JJ for an amazing heartfelt trilogy!

Nico and Ryan have faced so many obscales to get to where they are. However, more secrets from the past, must be overcome once more before Nico and Ryan can be happy.
Book 3, finds Ryan giving up his job in law enforcement and returning to Nico's hometown to start a new life. Ryan is loving his new life until he recieves and email which will change everything.
Ryan has been requested to go and see an old friend from his past. A past which he walked away from and locked downed a long time ago. Unsure, what he'll do, he tries to continue his life with Nico.
Finally, Ryan tells Nico part of his past that he never wanted the love of his life to know. Nico stands by his man and gives him the strength to do what is needed. There are twists to Ryan returning to his past, but you will have to read them for yourself.
I loved the complex relationship of Ryan and Nico, there were some funny, sweet romantic moments between them aswell as some hot sex, arguements and explosive make up sex.
The story flowed well and you were quickly emersed into the next part of their story together. If you enjoy MM Romance, this series ia a must read. I highly recommend it.

I was desperate for this book, because i not only needed to find out what happens next from the previous book, but i NEEDED more Ryan and Nico... And boy... Did this book deliver on every single level!!!
Ryan and Nico have finally moved and are planning their lives together... But is everything as it seems? Can their relationship handle more stress? Will they ever get to enjoy what they have, in peace? What will happen when more secrets unfold? Every one of these will be answered and more... A whole lot more!!!
With just enough twists and turns to keep you deep into the story, this book not only is written with an intense passion... It contains a mind blowing passion between Ryan and Nico... Be warned... It is as hot as all hell, and will leave you breathless and panting!!!
A brilliant 10/10 read and i for one, am now a fan of JJ for life!!! I can't wait to see what she has planned next, but i do know for definite... It's going to be amazing!!!

One of my favourite genres is M/M so of course I love this book!

Boy was this book H.O.T! The book is very descriptive and gave me the sweats! It made my heart beat faster.

This is the last of the Reunion series. The love that Ryan and Nico have for each other shines out of the pages. It grabs a hold of my stomach and hurts my heart with how much they adore each other. They have been through a lot to get to this point in their lives. Ten years apart has not changed their feelings for each other, even though they are sometimes a bit insecure about how the other feels. The two finally manage to settle down to a life together in Nico's home but Ryan's past in the military comes back to haunt him and that's a trying time for both of them. Tense and worrying to say the least! The ending is just simply perfect.

My advice to you is to read with fire proof underwear.... it's THAT hot. Enjoy!

4 out of 5 stars

This is the 3rd and final book in this series about Nico & Ryan. I enjoyed the other two books and felt like I waited years for the conclusion of their story. This book didn’t follow the same path as the first two, but that was okay.

I enjoyed the dynamic of these characters and the love they shared. I enjoy that they didn’t try to always seem perfect and that they had freak outs like everyone else does. The big mystery in this book added enough suspense that I was on the edge of my seat and had to finish the book the day I started it.

This is a quick read with all the great elements of a romance including love, laughter, make-up sex and more….as well as all the great elements of a mystery. I recommend this series to anyone looking for some quick reads that will leave you wanting more of this couple. Even with their story complete, I can’t imagine not wanting to hear from them again.

I can't believe we are saying goodbye to Ryan and Nico. This was a very good series from start to finish. but book 3 was definitely the best yet. It is filled with so much emotion and don't forget the steaming hot sex. Wow. This book was different in all sorts of ways. I highly enjoyed it.

Ryan and Nico go through a different journey in this book. They have moved in together but the past is still knocking at their door. They have so many obstacles to tackle to get to the end but they power through.

You don't want to miss the conclusion to the series. It will make your heart hurt. It will make your heart pound. It will also make your heart completely happy. I hate goodbyes but I'm so happy to see them finally get their happily ever after.

The conclusion of an amazing series bringing with it more heat, more angst but an ending that shows Love is Love.
These boys fast became one of my favorite couples. You can't help but root for them. JJ brought it on in spades. How much more do Ryan & Nico have to go thru to get their HEA. At times, I had to put it down, walk away, wipe my tears and go back to it. But their story wrapped up with so much emotion, you just wanted to jump into the pages and hold their hands.
Thank You JJ for an amazing journey and here's hoping these boys come back in the future to give us a little update.

This is the 3rd and final book in the Reunion Series and what a send off we got.
We start right off from where book 2 finished with Ryan moving to live with Nico, their finding their happy ever after. But their pasts come back to put them through more struggles, Ryan's is especially heartbreaking but will their love, commitment and trust in one another see them through or break them???
Not giving to much away but they do get their HEA and what and ending it was to their beautiful love story. JJ Harper has kept us enthralled throughout with love, heartbreak, drama and hot hot sex!!
And could we be seeing more with Troy's story or maybe Ben's hint hint.

This is the final book of Ryan and Nicos story.. Will their love be able to stand just one more secret? I love how their story shows how their relationship has matured, their everyday struggles to be together aren't really that bad as long as they are in it together. The ending wraps up their story so perfectly and shows us that everyone deserves to be loved matter what.

I did enjoy the final part of Nico and Ryan's story. I am however, surprised that not one single review I've read has mentioned the horrendous number of errors in this book. Missing words, conjugation mistakes, terrible punctuation. The whole book felt rushed as if the author just churned out the story to hit a deadline. I really enjoyed the first two books but this was a big let down.

So, at the end of the last book, they survived the first month of their reunion. Now they've moved out of Ryan's place and into Nico's. Whereas Reunited was about Nico's past coming back to bite him, this is about Ryan's.

I understand I'm reading a story about their lives and that includes intimate things, but I am kind of grossed out by the way they talk about sex and how they talk during sex. It's strange, but I keep cringing while mumbling TMI...TMI.

Nico heads back to work trying to get back into the swing of things. Ryan comes to visit him at the gym and Nico introduces Ryan to his assistant Mel. She's really happy about them, she thinks they’re cute, happy that they found each other yada yada yada. She says to Nico that he deserves to be happy and he should forgive himself and then she turns around and says to Ryan that he looks like he’s been living with a lot of demons and he should be happy now too. That just seems strange to me because if it was so apparent, I would think that it would have or should have already been mentioned. Like, "he was handsome, but he looked hunted" or "he was handsome, but he looked troubled." But no, he’s just handsome, just gorgeous, that’s all. And here comes this woman who’s seen him for the first time and says that he looks like he’s got demons. Where is that coming from?

Too much sex. Just too much sex. But at least the author has figured out how to do the turn the page and then it’s over routine, so we don’t into full detail about every time. Just a little hint that it’s going to happen and then skipping on.

They've been through the no more secrets thing so many times and it just keeps coming. Why the BS? I don’t understand what the purpose of all of this is in the story. There are ways to instigate drama that make sense and that don't require a writer to keep returning to the same well. None of the reasons they're still holding onto secrets make sense.

I've come to believe that Ryan had to be a sucky cop, like seriously, there's no way he was any good when he keeps making stupid decisions. Same for the Army. How did he survive the way he is? He can’t make good decisions for jack. Also, he's immature. After he gets half the story on something involving Nico, he dashes off on his motorcycle without protective gear at 120 mph. Sure, put yourself in danger why don't you? How can you have a relationship when all you do is run away? They were supposed to stop with all the secrets--these guys are almost 30, why are they having these issues? Well, actually, Nico's calmed down and has managed to get over the whole does he love me with a large and looming question mark, but Ryan is constantly in doubt, he can’t be secure in anything for any significant length of time. He is just one step away from running away all the time. This is like a dime-store soap opera.

I have no idea what this author thinks about hacking, computer networking, listening devices, and other such things, but the lawyer's cousin doesn’t even know where Ryan is and he’s instructing one of his people to do a sweep of the place. How do you sweep a place when you have no idea of its location? So this is supposed to be a remote sweep... Is he employing satellites or something? I’m just disappointed, not entirely surprised, but truly disappointed with how lazy this writer is with integrating tech into the story.

Anyway, Ryan has to go off to do something for the Army even though he was supposed to be done with it all and it’s all hush-hush, you know, high security hush-hush and he tells Nico about it and Nico says he won't talk about it to anyone because he understands that Ryan could get arrested for speaking about it. So while Nico's working things out to help with the implausible remote sweep, he tells his lawyer and his cousin that he’ll explain the whole thing to them when they arrive the next day. I'm sure he just said that he wouldn't. But there he went, spilling all of Ryan’s business, all of the military secrets. How do you just go and do that? How do you... You can’t do that! You can’t. And unless the cousin tracked Ryan's phone's GPS, how the heck does he know that he’s in some rehab clinic in the mountains? The remote sweep of course.

During some vague passage of time, some craziness happened, but they all escaped and then everyone was safe and sound. Life went on and then they got married and adopted a kid. The end. Why does everyone want a kid?

I've really got to stop doing this sort of thing to myself. I have to learn to say no when I see the red flags at the beginning. The down side of a reading coma.

Great continuation and conclusion to Nico and Ryan’s story. Of course I dove right in after finishing Reunited. I just had to know more.

Of course we find out a lot more about Ryan’s past, the secrets he was hiding, even from himself as he struggled to put the past behind him. The way he opened up was great, showing the strength and trust he had in his relationship with Nico.

It was good to see these two finally moving on, and coming that their relationship is about give and take, and that they only really need each other to be happy.

The drama that was woven through the book was good, and I would’ve loved to know more about Ben. I feel that we got a glimpse into him, but I would’ve loved more of him.

There was a lot of smoking hot sex scenes in the book, and I mean A LOT. These two are still as crazy and needy for the other.

It felt like a natural end to their story, and I will miss them

I never thought I'd say this...

There was to much sex and I didn't even think the sex was that hot. I mean could they have some meaningful conversation before jumping to bed a few times? How many times across 3 books can a miscommunication cause then to almost split. I skipped a lot of pages just to get to the HEA

Amazing trilogy!!

I'm usually pretty stingy with my 5 star ratings but this amazing trilogy most definitely deserves it. I laughed, I cried and my heart melted for these two. It was a heartbreaking and beautiful love story. I absolutely loved Ryan and Nico and I didn't want their story to end. The secondary characters were incredible too. A job well done JJ Harper!! Must read

I really loved this series and I am so sad that this is the end. Nico and Ryan will always have a piece of my heart.
