Rate this book
The sequel to The Professor’s Secret.

Natasha Carson doesn’t believe in fairytale endings. And she doesn’t want a Prince Charming. She had that with Christopher and look where that got her. Suffocating. Tolerating a respectable teaching position she never loved and lying to everyone about her true passion: writing smut.

So Natasha does the only thing she can. She leaves it all behind. The perfect boyfriend. The great job. New York City. Even the gorgeous grad student, Adam LaRue, who tempted her with sexual ecstasy and promises of making her every desire a reality.

As she explores the sex clubs of Berlin’s kinky underbelly, Natasha can’t help but wonder if she made a mistake. But when a chance encounter brings Adam into her life, she’s forced to confront her true feelings and deepest fears. With only a few days together, Natasha must make a choice: run away or relinquish control.

This is the sequel to The Professors Secret which I loved and was left wanting more of after the huge cliffhanger, I’d recommend reading the first book first to fully understand Natasha’s story, and I have to say The Writers Desire did not disappoint me.

We find Natasha at a huge crossroads in life and still somewhat confused with her life and the direction she needs to take. She makes the rash decision to quit her job and moves halfway across the world leaving Christopher and Adam behind. This book is more about Natasha’s journey of self-discovery as we follow her through the gritty club scene of Berlin by night as she continues to push her own limits while pursuing her writing career full time. And yet while she is happy to no longer feel constrained by a relationship she still seems to be missing something and craving more from life.

A chance meeting with a friend from her life in New York seems to present the opportunity to fully immerse herself in the darker side of the BDSM lifestyle that Natasha craves. That is until a figure from her past appears and the weekend she had planned takes a twist she had never expected. What transpires is a hot steamy encounter that leaves Natasha even more confused about her future and the choice that presents itself. Will she continue as she has or take the chance on having what she craves?

This book contains a lot more of the BDSM scenes than the last and is a hot read. I am not sure if there is more to come from Natasha’s story but I hope so. I’d love to read the story that the character is writing within this story too, I feel like I’m left on a cliff edge from those snippets we get.

The Writer’s Desire by Katie Devoe is the follow up to The Professor’s Secret. Natasha has now decided that she no longer wants to be tied down to her life. So she hands in her resignation at her job as a professor, breaks up with her fiancée Christopher and decides to move across the world to Berlin. Deciding she needed a change of pace and to find out who she really wants to be; the sex clubs of Berlin is her way. But life in Berlin is not as emotionally freeing as she hoped. Yes she has time to write full time with not having to worry about the repercussions of what she writes, a nice apartment she is subletting but she is missing something. She keeps reliving her life with both Adam and Christopher and the choices she has made. After running into a blast from her past she decides to try to be more adventurous. What she found was not what she expected. This was a good story of a woman thinking she knew who she was and what she wanted in her life. This was the next chapter in Natasha’s life and I enjoyed going on her journey. I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. I give Natasha’s journey 4 stars.

Good ending

This was the ending to the series. Natasha seems to finally figure out who she is and what she wants after months of meaningless sex and moving around Europe.

description

The Writer’s Desire by Katie Devoe was a very hot and steamy 5 star read.

Natasha has moved on from both Christopher and Adam.
She is living in Berlin losing herself in her writing. She is going to sex clubs and parties meeting new people and getting ideas for her books.

Here, I am no one. Here, I blend into the crowd. That, to me, is freedom.

Natasha can’t help but think about Adam and what could have been. When Natasha gets an invite for a weekend party she finds herself face-to-face with Adam again. How will he reacte to seeing her again? Will they give into their desires?

To the man I love. Love me. Own me. Complete me. Never let go.

I once again LOVED it. The sex was hot and the BDSM, club and parties added a great element to the story. You may need a cold shower. Katie once again draws you right in with her writing. If you like erotic/BDSM you will love “The Writers Desire”. Thank you Katie for a great read.

The Writer’s Desire by Author Katie Devoe is an erotic/BDSM novel with a very hot and steamy plot.

The writer’s desire is book 2 of the exploring desire series. After making huge life changes Natasha quits her job as a professor in order to pursue writing full time. Natasha had two men in her life and due to her own fears, she walked away from both. With Christopher, she felt like her life was laid out. The minute he proposed she felt like she was losing pieces of herself constantly.

“The thought of being owned, of being trapped, the fear of hurting a man she loved with the truth. She didn’t love him enough. That she didn’t love him the way he loved her.” – Natasha

But Adam wants all of her. And when she ends things after their night together he is angry and is done. He has waited for her and now that she is finally free she's walking away from him too. He is angry and walks away from her forever or maybe not.

“People spend their entire lives searching for this sort of connection and still never find it. And you’re willing to just throw it away like it’s meaningless.”-Adam

7 months later Natasha has moved away from New York and now lives in Berlin to work on her erotic writing freely without judgment. In order to write her books she decides to explore the BDSM world in Berlin but fate has its own plans and she runs into her past Adam and the need for his touch and dominance hasn’t gone away. Of course, Adam isn’t too happy to see her due to circumstances but as time goes on Adam faces the fact he is in love with her. Will Natasha admit that she wants Adam and this time she doesn’t want him to go or will she let him walk away because of her fears of not wanting to be tied down?

This was a hot read. The character was very well developed and I could understand where Natasha was coming from. Natasha’s fear of constantly losing herself when she commits to a relationship I think made the story real for me because in a way a lot of people feel like that sometimes and that made the story more real. Adam can be my Dom and day of the week. This was my first book I have ever read from Katie Devoe and I will read more of her work in the future. If you like to read erotica and BDSM books then definitely One- Click this book. You won’t be disappointed.

I have to admit I was a huge fan of the first book in this series and I really liked “A Writer’s Desire”. This book was good, but I felt there were a lot of elements that weren’t necessarily needed to make this book complete. That being said I loved Natasha. There are a few turns and angles in this book that keep the reader guessing. I really love that. Ms. Devoe gives you complex characters and in great detail writes their story.

This is a continuation of Natasha’s story from “The Professor’s Secret”. This story centers more Natasha’s self-discovery. Adam and Christopher (in a sense) are back. I viewed this more as a journey. There is definitely more kink, and BDSM in this book than the first, so if you like added erotica that will please you.

It is not a typical love story and I liked that. This book is involved and I found myself attaching to Natasha’s confusion and indecision. I wanted to know the ultimate end result and see how things would conclude for her. I would give this book 3.5 stars.

Thankfully Writer’s Desire is finally out. I remember my review in The Professor’s Secret had me whining that this book had a huge cliffhanger. So now I was able to finally find out what happened. Natasha decided that she has to move on. So she quits teaching, and decides to follow her “true passion: writing smut.” She leaves NYC, leaves the men (Christopher & even the Grad student Adam LaRue).

Natasha decides to explore sex clubs in Berlin’s kinky underbelly. And yes, you will see Adam again. And, yes there will be an HEA. But, I don’t want to say more because you need to read Writer’s Desire. Do read The Professor’s Secret first. You will be happy that you don’t have to wait for the sequel The Writer’s Desire like I did to find out what happened next.

I received a complimentary copy of The Writer’s Desire for an honest review and I give it 4 stars.

Natasha knew that it was time for her to leave her job as a teacher and focus on her writing full time. She needed to get away from Chris and Adam. She went home for the holidays, know she is in Berlin where she meets up with an old friend Jax. Little did she know what Jax had planned.

Natasha is a writer of erotic fiction, she needed to get away from Adam. She loves to travel. Adam willing to wait for Natasha, knew about her writing. He is a Dom. Chris is Natasha's ex, works at the college were she quit. Jax is Adam's friend, likes to help out more then is wanted.

This book is an amazing read. I loved that I felt very connected to the characters and that I couldn't put this book down. Also I loved how well this book is written. I look forward to reading more books by Katie Devoe. This is the Second book in the Exploring Desires Series.

Hot, steamy and angsty follow up story of Natasha's from The Professor's Secret. I was so excited to read more about Professor Natasha Carson, and this sequel does not disappoint. Tired of her current double life, she decides to start a fresh life in Berlin. The reality of her new life leaves her questioning her decision especially when she had an encounter from her past.
Does she stay or does she go back to her old life. Proves that you need to "be careful what you wish for❣

4.5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

This is a scorcher. I have been waiting for this book to come out after The Professor's Secret. Finally getting the rest of Natasha's story has been great. I wasn't sure how things would work out for her and Adam and for a bit there I wasn't sure they would get back together. When they did get together, it was intense and smack full in hotness.

This duet had me really thinking. It was such a provocative story that had me opening up discussions with my husband. I love books that make me think more about taboo topics in a healthy way. And holy smokes these books were hot AF!

Okay, at first I was a little bored. I mean, yeah...sex, kink, woohoo and all that. But then things got interesting again. My chest was tight with anxiety until the end. Great read.
