For the last ten years Taylor Collins hasn't allowed herself to look back. Now she's forced to return to a town full of ghosts, a farm she doesn't want, and a country boy she never forgot. With her life spinning out of control, Taylor has no time for flirting - or love. Mason Stiles loves his family, his farm, and his job, but he's still regretting the one that got away. That is, until Taylor arrives back in town. When he sees her again, he realizes that maybe a friend is all she needs. Sometimes a Stetson and a pair of cowboy boots can fix the world - but is it enough to grant Taylor and Mason a second chance at love? Contains mild adult language and adult situations.

Just a free-lance lover of the written word and fictional worlds... Everyone has that one perfect book boyfriend... I wanted my own, so... Here we are!

I've been writing since I figured guys in real life don't do what I want them to do, and there is nithing better than to write the stuff you like... Until I realized that THOSE boys don't do what you want them to do, either... *sighs*

I thought that AJ's Salvation was making me cry hard but this book is just so much more. Sam overdid herself. Beautiful.

Call me Michigan tells us the story of Taylor. Successful young woman that comes back home to take are of her siblings after both of her parents left them by themselves. Even though she is not happy about it, she knows she has to come home. Even if here, in this small town, where everyone knows everyone, is one man that holds her heart since she was a teenager. And he never let go of it. Never left her thoughts. And as fate is a mean thing, the first person she sees on her way home is Mason. No longer a boy but a man that makes her heart race even after so many years.

Mason. Oh God. If you want a hot cowboy, look no further. Caring, warm, kind and just simply PERFECT. Since he remembers he always loved Taylor. And never stopped. Even when his life was turned upside down. And when one day fate crosses their paths again, he decides to never let her go again.

This book is not only a book about love between a couple. It so much more. Like all Sam's books. She touches subjects that people try to avoid. She shows the good, the bad and the ugly in her characters. That's why her stories are so amazing.

Well deserved 5 heavenly stars from me <3

This is the first book I've read by Sam Destiny. It was very good and kept my attention. so much so I read it in two days.

This book is about a young woman named Taylor and a young named Mason. they are both in love with each other but just don't seem to come to come together at the time of Taylor's graduation. Not that Mason didn't true.

Now twelve years later Taylor returns to the country and is having a major anxiety issue. Mason has changed and so has Taylor. will these two be able to connect and find a second chance at love?

I really enjoyed this book. I got to read about two characters who grew together and learned to love pass all their past tribulations. I enjoyed each character except for the mother. Grrrr she was very non mother like. This is an emotion read. It was beautifully written and I love the ending.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

We follow Taylor as she leaves her life in Michigan to go back home to her family farm to take care of her young brother, so that her sister can go to college. Taylor left for college and never returned until now. She left the man that she loved and now that she's back she finds a lot has changed. Has Mason forgotten her and moved on? Some huge shocks are in store for Taylor.

This is the first book I have read by Sam Destiny and I really enjoyed it. She pulls you in to the story with each description, and holds you there right until the very end. This is a great romance story that is filled with drama, making it a bumpy but enjoyable ride for the readers.

This is a beautiful story about second chance love. There's twists and turns that keep you turning the page, Some I didn't see coming. I really connected with Taylor and Mason and I was rooting for them to have a happy ever after from the start. The characters grew together over the pages and learnt to fall in love with each other again. The authors writing is beautiful and held my attention from the beginning. This is a new author to me, il definitely be checking out her other books. Give this book a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Interesting story line! You could 'feel' the emotions between the characters and the anger, insecurities and fears they demonstrated. I totally disagreed with the actions of one character: Taylor's father. If he loved his family and his farm so much, why would he chase his wife for 12 years leaving said family and farm? Taylor's mom was a piece of work and not in a good way.

It was obvious that Mason and Taylor were soul mates and would be together but only after they had dealt with their demons (and they had many). Emotionally, both had to 'adult' and that is never easy.

Ash, to me, was impressive. She could have been bitter, depressed, vengeful, and a myriad of other strong negative emotions, but she was not. She seemed more self aware than any of the others.

Yep, good story, well written and great characters. Highly recommended.

A second chance romance with a few bumps in the road.
After 12 years away from country life Taylor returns to look after the farm she grew up on and her little brother so her younger sister could go off to college after her dad had upped and left.
Who should be the first person she met as she walked the roads to get there from the bus station, of course.. none other than her first love.. the one who had drunkenly kissed her as she left 12 years ago to try to persuade her to stay.
In the meantime he married Taylor's best friend.. told you there were some bumps lol !

No spoilers so not going to say much more.. suffice to say:-

Some great characters and a solid story.. my first read from Sam Destiny but won't be my last !

Going into this story I had no idea what to expect as I'm not typically a fan of stories written in 3rd person, but boy, was I blown away. This story kept me glued to my kindle unable to put the story down. Taylor and Masons story is one of epic proportions and though life hasn't always been easy, this story shows that love can conquer all.

I simply adored this sweet, second-chance romance. It gave me butterflies, it made me do a happy-dance (or two or three), it made me roll my eyes, it made me want to slap fictional people silly & it made me stay up until the wee hours of the morning because I couldn’t put it down!

I was Mason & Taylor’s #1 cheerleader from the get-go. They were both so stubborn in the beginning (doing that push & pull thing) but when they came together, it was beautiful & felt so right. I LOVED how Taylor stepped up to the plate (both with her family & with Mason’s), I LOVED how determined Mason was to make her a permanent part of his family (oh, that corn maze!) & I jumped for joy when everyone rallied behind Taylor & kicked ol’ mama Collins out of town!

The whole Ash thing was awkward though. I am thrilled to bits that Ash, Taylor & Mason were able to push past it relatively easily because man… it made ME so uncomfortable at times. Knowing Ash & Mason got together, knowing what Ash gave up, knowing the true feelings about it all, knowing who was the key to everyone’s happiness… weird but awesome at the same time.

So incredibly happy that Mason & Taylor got their much deserved happily ever after! I only wish the epilogue had a little more to it. I mean, I LOVED the last Christmas gift that Mason gave to Taylor but I still wanted to hear some “bells” & some feet “pitter-pattering” at the end! Greedy, I know, but true.

Here’s to hoping that this book becomes more than a standalone! I’d LOVE not only to hear more from Mason & Taylor but more from Tamara, Daniel, Brad, Ashley & maybe even Andrew too!!

This is a second chance novel - Mason and Tyler were best friends in their younger years, although both of them wanted more, neither of them said anything. When Tyler left home under difficult circumstances, Mason got blinding drunk before chasing after her and giving her a drunken kiss. Now, this is not guaranteed to win anyone over, so unsurprisingly, Tyler leaves anyway. Fast forward a few years, and Tyler returns to take care of her family. Of course, the first person she sees is Mason, although he doesn't recognise her. Things are about to change for the pair of them.

This is a well written, fast moving and smoothly paced contemporary romance, showing character growth and not just with the two main characters. With getting to know each other again, things don't go exactly smoothly. However, things eventually work out for them, which is good because the situation is about to get a whole more complicated.

This is a story guaranteed to give you the warm fuzzies, at the same time as you laugh and cry with the characters and the situations they find themselves in. Definitely recommended by me.

* I was given this book in return for a review which has in no way affected my opinion. *

This is a first for me from this author. I was able to get an ARC of this book and I freaking love it! It's sweet, but have some nice suspense. The storyline was awesome. At first I was like wtf! But then everything just clicked into place. It's amazing how everything just works at the end. Mason and Taylor are incredible together. They are two stubborn person but it works for them. Taylor are stronger than she thinks and Mason are just so sweet. I traied to dislike Ash but at the end I couldn't. You would need to wait for the hot moment and it's pretty short but works for the story.

Really great job Sam!

Sam Destiny has a knack of writing such endearing characters, that you can't help but get invested in them and their story. Mason and Taylor first caught my attention in their short story, North Carolina Girl, which features in Tales of the Night: A Collection of Short Stories.

This story is heart wrenching at times, but it's mixed in with just the right amount of sweetness to make you feel better.
