"Joe, the Old Man" is drawn back into the fight against the deadly Be-Young-Again drug called Hebe in this third installment of the Last Reunion series. It's another shocking saga of side-splitting salaciousness!
This time, he's battling Precinct 1, the one-percenters who are now addicted to the "safe" formula of the alluring elixir. Someone is selling the stuff on the Dark Web, and Joe must find out who before more people die.
Joined by his feisty, crimson-hair nurse and his sexy, all-too-human android, he travels to Chicago to ferret out the culprit.
But his enemies seem to have multiplied. Are they Precinct 1 henchmen? Foreign spies? Shadowy government operatives? Or Dark Web Warriors? Only time, and Hebe, will tell.

I enjoyed this third installment at least as much as I did its predecessor. With every new book, Joe’s world becomes more defined, giving us a sober peek at what the future may bring us (and I’m not too thrilled about what I see there).
Joe “the Old Man” seems incapable of staying out of trouble. The “Screw this!” part of the book’s title is as close to a personal motto as he has, and so when the Hebe formula that caused so much death and suffering before begins to pop up again, the geriatric gentleman snaps his knuckles (loudly), gets off his rear (slowly) and gathers a small team of unlikely heroes to tackle yet another threat to the world (and to his personal bank account).
Written with wicked wit, the author has managed to make a believer of me. The suspicion I’d begun to have with Death Panel (Book II of the series) is confirmed: we have before us an extremely enjoyable series that will be thrilling readers for many episodes to come.
Old man Joe is back and the drug Hebe is still around, however their is more than one type. The drug Joe has used before was meant to make people young again, but their is a green Hebe that is used to make super soldiers. The author uses humor and suspense to tell a story of a future world where readers will find suspense, conspiracy, humor and artificial intelligence intertwine to make a fast paced read you won't soon forget. Great writing by an author who knows how to keep readers entertained.
