Beads are fascinating, beautiful and the height of style. If you have fallen under their spell, you will find plenty in The Seed Bead Book to inspire you. There are dozens of fabulous projects and variations, to make for yourself and as gifts for friends.
Kate Haxell learned to sew at an early age, making clothes for her long-suffering teddy bears. Her skills have sharpened since and she now sews for real people. She lives in London.
For the advanced beader/loomer. Excellent ideas. Beautiful finished projects. But unless you already have a skill for looming and/or stitching, you will be lost.
There is a good selection of projects here, from more simple to much more complicated, that would keep one's interest if you're new to beading or more experienced. The book is well designed with lots of photos. The beads used in the projects are of a wide range, too, not just strictly seed beads. I didn't see anything in here that I wanted to bookmark but I gained some inspiration, for sure.
Great variety of projects, including a few that need a loom. Directions are clear and there are great photos. Not for beginners, but a good one for the bead book library of anyone who knows basic stitches and has beads and tools already.
