Shopify DIY: Setting up Your Store for Wholesale

Considering using Shopify as the platform for your wholesale site? After reading this you should have a good understanding of what is and what is not possible to achieve with Shopify along with a roadmap for development and some key pieces of advice and code to make it happen. We hope to save you time and money by examining methods and lower-cost ways to achieve the same functions that some of the higher-priced apps achieve. As a wholesaler and Shopify developer I am constantly being asked to help out colleagues with their sites. The advice offered here reflects my experience in the business of wholesale and a desire to save money.

The early chapters briefly cover some Shopify basics; however, the intention of this book is to move quickly into the functionality as it relates to wholesale. There are plenty of books on setting up your basic Shopify store but very little on your options for using Shopify as a wholesale platform. In fact, if you do a basic search for Shopify and wholesale you may come to the conclusion that Shopify cannot be used for wholesale. Not only is the false but Shopify makes a great basis for a wholesale store. That said, it also presents some challenges.
