The Haze Trilogy is meant to be read in order: The Haze The Chosen The Purpose
The Purpose was my favorite book of this trilogy although I really enjoyed all of them. My review is going to be a bit generic because I don't want to give any spoilers. One of the things that I especially appreciated were the different scenarios where the story built and then resolved itself. In most books they do that once, in this book it happened every few chapters. Janine is a terrific writer with an incredible imagination. The character development is extremely detailed making it easy for you to fall in love with each of the different characters. I love how she takes you all over the world and makes you feel like you are actually in these other incredible places. I enjoyed knowing that at the end of each day (I usually read at night) that I was going to be able to travel back to Hemlee and visit all of the characters that I was so enjoying spending time with! The Purpose is suspenseful, fun, witty, happy, sad, exciting, tender and magical. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to get lost in a story, anyone who loves to escape to another place in a book and just be entertained. Bravo Janine!
I have been a fan of the Haze books since book 1 and I've been dying to read this one! I was certainly not disappointed. I love all of these characters so much, and I jumped right back into this world feet first. I honestly didn't sleep from the moment I bought it until the very last word. Natalia is back and trying to figure out and complete her purpose. With her is her mate Finn, her friend and lion shifter True and her brother Maddox. I enjoyed the fact this story had so much of Mad and True in it. While I wanted Natalia with Finn, True has always held a special place in my heart too. And Maddox was always in the story, but this time he shines! I am sad that this series has come to an end, but it is an ending that I am super happy with! I can only hope that someday, True and Maddox come calling to Janine again to have more of their stories told!
What a wonderful and very unique ending to this world and the characters I have grown to love. I found this author a couple years back and fell in love with her first book so much that I had to tell everyone what I had read and they needed to read immediately cause they were missing out. This was a very well written trilogy with a great story, some really different things going on ( don't want to spoil) in the ultimate showdown of good and evil. Thank you Janine for sharing this with us. You've a fan for life and I'll be waiting for whatever comes next, I know it will rock!!!!
I'll start by saying the wait for this book was well worth it!! Out of the 3, this book was by far my favorite! I cried at the end because I just didn't want the series to end! The characters in the book are easily my favorite characters out of the many books I have read. Janine Olsson gave the book and the characters the ending they deserve! Well done Janine!!!
Such a bittersweet ending. My heart is full but also hurting so much.
I adored this series. I read the first book in 2013 and waited almost 4 years for the last book and oh my gosh it was worth the wait. Perfect ending even though I was crying happy and sad tears. I'm sad it's over, I really loved living in this world.
Thank you Janine Olsson for sharing your amazing characters and story with me. This type of epic romance and family loyalty is what I love best about reading.
