Brilliant series. Could not put this down. Loved it!

The description of this series intrigued me and I wasn't mistaken. These books are dark, intense and interesting. Riley Page is an FBI agent who had been abducted and held by a serial killer prior to the series starting. She has PTSD and is on leave until being called into consult on a case. Riley isn't sure that her abductor is actually dead so flash backs and strange things happening always lead her to conclude that it is him back and ready for revenge.
In Once Gone, Riley is helping to hunt down a serial killer who poses his victims like dolls, she has a hard time convincing the powers that be that she is on the right track but her partner has her back. Riley has always had an uncanny knack for getting inside a killers head.
In Once Taken Riley is hunting a serial killer who kills with chains. She also meets an interesting character who is in prison for murder but has become an expert on the mind of murderers. She turns to him for help at the recommendation of a colleague, but what she finds may require more than she is willing to give. Its a quid pro quo situation and Riley thinks that he sees her maybe a little too well.
Both books are well written and interesting and I liked the narrator however the narrator is British and these books take place in the US which I often forget while listening. I have to keep reminding myself this is the FBI, its US not England, that would be my biggest fault with this recording. Although I do really like the narration and the ways she portrays the different characters.

Got the first one free from Google and immediately became engrossed with Riley, her family, coworkers and protagonists! Then I found number 2, 3 and 4 on hoopla! Read them immediately. Will have to save up my money to purchase the rest of them. I try not to read more than two detectives at any one time.
Love this writer and will read more of his/her work as I find it.

Lucky Me
I was lucky to get Once Gone and Once Taken in one Kindle read. I had long ago read Once Gone and was in lack on money to buy Once Taken. Well they were both so worth reading! I am now on Once Craved! Blake Pierce knows how to pull ya in for sure! His books are what I love to read. Sick minded serial Killer reads and I can afford the whole dang series this time around! Yay!! lol Just read them ya won’t be disappointed!!

Once Gone and Once Taken are so very good psychological suspense thrillers. They are about FBI agent Riley Paige who is brilliant at her job but unfortunately has many problems in her personal life. Very good series.

I started out with Girl, Alone and decided I needed to read more books by the same author. Enjoyed this book more than Girl, Alone. Got me started in how Riley started.

I don't usually read mystery thrillers, but I enjoyed these books. The stories were very detailed and held my attention.

These both were exciting with lots of twists and turns to keep you interested. Each of the stories was well written. I enjoyed the character development and that each of the characters played the same roles in each of the stories. I recommend you take a look at these books and I am confident you will enjoy them.
