I've heard stories of how women have their water break or go into labor in their home. That's not how it happened with Lucy and our babies. As long as Lucy and the babies are okay, I'll be okay--even if we are surrounded by the Russo Famiglia.
But nothing has been normal for us from the day we met. So why would it start now?
Anne Mercier is the USA Today and International Bestselling author of rockstars, billionaires, new adult, and mature young adult romance. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and still lives there today.
When she's not writing she enjoys reading amazing books, listening to music, keeping up on all things Avenged Sevenfold and Milo Ventimiglia, chatting with readers and friends, and binging Netflix series.
I really enjoyed getting more of Jesse and Lucy. But it was way way too short! I will never be tired of this fantastic Rockstar Series.
Once more, Anne Mercier’s magic fingers delivered a great additional story mixing all the right ingredients to make a good recipe: unconditional love, passion, emotional and deep relationship between the whole gang, hilarious banters, friendship, steamy sex scenes, a bit of mob drama and everything in between.
The bonus was a great Christmas treat and another delicious taste of Xan my Man. Can't wait to get his full story. OMG definitely love him as well as each and every one of the other characters (including the K.Quads).
Looking forward to read the next books coming in 2016 & 2017:
Cadence (Rockstar #7) - Jace's story (coming mid-2016) Refrain (Rockstar #8) - Ethan's story (2016) A Very Xander Christmas 3 (Rockstar #8.5) (December 2016) Echo (Rockstar #9) - Xander and Tera's story (2017) Strings (Rockstar, #10) - Kennedy & Janalee’s Story (2017) Melody (Rockstar #11) - Meggie and Trace's story (2017)
Ms. Mercier I can tell time will go by very slowly until the next release.
I read these books years ago and I vaguely remember at least somewhat enjoying them (looks like I 2.5’ed them), but this time around 🤨 Wow… just WOW. I’m not going to mess with my previous review/ratings because I’m lazy, but I hadn’t written one for this book which to be fair is short (100 pages), and part of the plot is the arrival of the babies, but the rest is so so bad.
I absolutely LOVE this big boisterous family and I couldn't wait to read about the birth of Jesse and Lucy's babies. Of course their birth couldn't possibly be a normal one and there are definitely some surprises for this sweet couple. I have to tell you that my favorite of their family has to be Xander and this man has some surprises of his own when it comes to their babies. I am dying to read more of him. There is still a bit of mob drama to be had even in the midst of such happiness and they suffer a loss that hurts all of their hearts. I can't wait to read more of their stories.
The story has laughs, pain, anger, suspense, violence, loss, betrayal, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well I was kept interested in the story. I read it in one sitting.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books first. Falling Down (Rockstar series #1) Blush (Rockstar, #2) A Very Xander Christmas (Rockstar, #2.5) Amplify (Rockstar #3) Interlude (Rockstar #4) Ballad (Rockstar #5)
This is more of the rockstar series. You get a few different POVs. Lucy is having babies. You get to see just how the band family interacts with the babies. You feel the fear and the pain right along with Lucy and Jesse as they get ready to deliver their babies. You get updates from the other members of the family. Can they keep all the members of their family safe? A little suspense thrown in will keep you guessing as to what is about to go down and what needs to go down. This was a very short story to get you ready for the next release.
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
The babies are finally here!!! Along with other parts of the story of the whole gang. As I was reading this I kept thinking how amazing Anne Mercier writes. Each book may focus on one couple at a time but she intertwines all the story lines that everything just moves so smoothly. Loved it!!! I really can't wait for Xander
A bit worrying there for a bit but then you get the sweet. Loved, loved, loved this one. Xander is fabulous as are all the team. I cant say to much because you really need to read it yourself to get all the goodness from this one. I can say there is still some bad thrown into the mix to keep us on our toes. Its great and I just jumped straight into the next one.
book 6 of rockstar series. Kingston Babies arrive!!! this is so epic and to know how the group reacts.. Zander is all im going to say LOL!! MUST HAVE SERIES
Finally we get to meet the Kingston litter! And what a surprise! Emotional book between the birth and Jana. Seems like these poor people can’t catch a break! Short, easy read. Two thumbs up!
I absolutely adore this author. I am a HUGE fan of rock star romances and this author. This author is absolutely amazing and can write this genre flawlessly. When I first read Falling Down, I was completely blown out of the water and have been hooked on this series ever since then.
This is the next book in this series... diving right back into the Rockstar storyline where Ballad left us. The babies are coming and there is nothing stopping them. And when things don't go according to plan and Lucy's life is in danger, Jesse and the rest of the crew will have to hope for the best.
And we also get the next Christmas story in this series. Xander is back with a vengeance. He is going to rock your world and make you smile big time. I laughed. I grinned. I swooned. And I got totally curious about Xander and his girl... god I cannot wait for more of that story and answers.
If you are a fan of this series, nab this book up. It will not disappoint and leaves us with a smile and ready for the next in this series. You will get Jesse, Lucy and a couple other point of views in this book. It was short, sweet, sexy, and definitely peeked my interest and left me satisfied.
I have mixed emotions about this story. On one hand, I was super excited to get so quickly after Ballad, but on the other, now that I devoured it, the next book will seem like it takes forever to get here! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, the author's writing, and this series! There will never be enough to feed my addiction to Anne Mercier's Rockstar series!
It's time for the Kingston triplets to be born. Nothing is going as planned, and the evil Russo's are surrounding them causing big trouble. And that's all I'm giving away as everyone should read this story. The character development is awesome, as with each of the books in the series, the author does a fantastic job with them constantly developing. A short but exciting, well written story line flows perfectly. Anne Mercier's talented writing style hooked me from the very first book, and it's never wavered, only grown stronger. Lullabye is action packed, has suspense, well placed humor that had me rolling, SIZZLIN' sexy scene goodness, cute babies, and finally the kind of love that we single girls dream of. I can only hope that the next book comes very very soon, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The littlest Kingstons have arrived and their entrance into the world is definitely not without it's fair share of drama. And their names?!? Don't get me started! They are perfect for our little ones!
This novella is absolutely wonderful! Not only do we get the new babies to gush over, but some important Mafia business is going down too. There's a lot of good stuff packed in this little book.
AND SURPRISE! A Very Xander Christmas 2 is included, and it's HOT! Then again, it is Xander so you knew it would be. And of course, it's pretty funny too.
Do yourself a favor. READ THIS SERIES!!!!!
You won't regret it and you'll have plenty of time to catch up before the next book gets here.
I love this series. And I'm so glad Anne did a rewrite and didn't take the story where the characters originally wanted to take her. I couldn't have handled Lucy dying in child birth. As it was, I was freaked out reading about the complications. It was great finally meeting the babies and seeing how the other characters interact with them.
Mixed with the happiness of the birth of the K-quads was the sadness of what happened with Jana, but I can't wait to see how the Russo family gets revenge.
I loved this book. I am glad that we got to read about the birth of the Kingston Litter, it contained drama and emotion. I especially loved the surprise element (NO SPOILERS)!!!
I loved the Xander Christmas bonus, what I don't like if having to wait for Xander's story when this is now the second teaser (both one year apart) into Xander's love life but colour me intrigued I really want to know what Tera's story is.
You knew when the Kingston litter came it would be crazy and it was! Lucy and Jesse were funny in the delivery room. Of course things happened in a way that made them go a bit crazy, both good and bad. The naming of the litter was cute, a way to honor special people in their lives.
I thought it was funny how Xander was when the babies came home. Loved that he claimed them, loved how he stated that the babies were everyone's.
The only downer was learning what happened to Jana. Wish that could have turned out different.
Loved the book. Absolutely love all the characters. The only thing it was really short and I felt it could have been more in depth. Especially when Jesse's sister is kidnapped and then kills her self. We don't get to read about what she goes thru it's all talked about amongst the other characters in the book after the fact pretty much and then that's it. It could have really been awesome if it were a little more in depth.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
We have babies!! I was so looking forward to this book and I wasn't disappointed. Finally we have babies but we all know nothing comes easy for Jessie and Lucy. For a novella we get a lot from it. Babies, mafia and Xander, I didn't think I could love his character more but Anne showed me I could. If you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for? It's funny, sexy and has great story lines. Can't wait for the next book!
I've always love this story since i started with FD and blush. i love it but can't give a 5 stars bec it's too short unlike the first 2 books. im hoping for a longer events to the story and not just a few weeks storytell. don't get me wrong, i love this but it's just always to be continued.. type of books. well, have fun reading.
This was a cute novella Jesse is going to be a great dad, I could just tell with the way he was in awe with the labor, birthing and the end result, "holy eff, Luce. You were carrying around twelve pounds thirteen ounces of Kingston babies in there," Jesse tells me. The awe in his voice doesn't escape me." I liked this novella.
Loved this short Novella along with A very Xander Christmas 2, loved looking into how there was a surprise with the babies and how everyone is pitching in to help, who knew Xander would be so in love with the babies! He is great! Having more insight on Xanders love life was awesome! Glad Anne put more about Tera in the book as well! Can't wait for Jace's book next!!! So excited!!
So happy that we get this little bridge between the larger stories. Loved all of the babies names and the newer nicknames for them as a whole. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, but it leaves you with a smile not in a corner crying your eyes out. Now I'm off to read Xan's X-mas story.
A cute continuation in the series!! It is a very very short read, but it packs so much information. It is also hilarious. You will found yourself laughing very often.
This was a nice little slice of Jesse and Lucy but I’m beginning to think this series is getting too big and there’s too many moving parts. Once again, we have at least 4 POVs in this book, a novella. It’s too much. There’s too many storyline’s, too many things going on. I’d much rather each book focus on one couple and what’s going on with them, with the mafia stuff sprinkled in with that. Instead, it’s all crammed in together and it gets confusing and muddled. Only time can see where this series will go, and how it will, but a little more focus would be nice.
