kINKED five-star read, various stories by different authors all telling the story of a tattoo, the pleasure and pain that comes with them all good stories in their own right.
Begin again – Tiffany Michelle Brown – tells the story of Callum Reid and the blue door that leads to Bottled ink, a door that Melissa ends up back at more and more, but is it Callum that she comes to see or a mysterious couple?
Inkarnate – Mara Malins – Tells us the story of Emily Mistry and the apprenticeship she is desperate to get, something one of the tattoo artists in residence doesn’t agree to as he doesn’t think she will fit with the lifestyle, can Emily prove just because she dresses like a school teacher doesn’t mean she acts like one, and how a good tattoo can transcend what you wear.
The Courier – Danielle Davis – In a world where paper is a scares commodity Pier is sold to pay a debt by poor parents into a life with the Post Master and has letters scribed upon his body, this is the story of a letter sent by Mister Jonathon Aghurst to his Fiancé Abura and shows us the story of the letter, and how powerful the written word can be.
Through Glass a Stranger – Renee Dominick – This is the story of two twin buildings and the people who live in apartments 1412. One who has tattoos of brambles all over his body, not the fruit and flower, but the vines and thorns complete with bloody droplets. For the occasion – Brantwijn Serrah – Tells the story of love, dominance and commitment between Mistress Selene and her soon to be wife, baby. A story filled with passion and consideration for another’s feeling and love in an unexpected manner.
Sae-ri – Nicole Blackwood – Zoe is an adventurer and map maker known as Star-Flyer, when she crashes and saves a set of twins Lukas and Logan in the process they vow their lives to her, and so a new adventure begins between the three of them, with a little help from a friend called Kira. Ink and Ocean – Meredith Dark- Kayla and Mark met at NYU and haven’t been able to forget each other since despite having other relationships and living in NYC and Miami respectively, they each wear the others mark, one hidden and one on show. Will they ever be able to make it work? Or will the tattoo just be a memory reminder?
Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer – Angie Clare is a sex shop worker who has a body dedicated to ink, she is having her usual day in work, there is a workshop going on with an expert in his field, when two men start making a ruckus she offers to go over and sort them out, and sort them out she does, well one of them at least. The only problem is in doing so something happens that she wasn’t expecting and causes all sorts of dilemmas for her, least of all where to get her next ink.
This is a great collection, normally when you read this type of book there is one story that you can’t stand, but these were all amazing. I loved every single one and would happily read more from all the authors.

kINKED is the second volume of the Pen and Ink Anthology Series. The anthology is made up of eight stories all with the same thread or theme which is- Ink (Tattoo’s) and Kink… the stories are contributed by eight very talented authors. Some of the authors I know and have read, but most of the authors are new to me- which is always an exciting thing for me to be able to discover some new sources of reading material.
I really am surprised by how brilliant this whole anthology is. The stories were ALL really well written and completely captivated me from the very first story, all the way through till the last one. There wasn’t one amongst the lot that let the side down; all the stories were really interesting, imaginative and very polished.

Begin again by: Tiffany Michelle Brown
“Don’t let the past get in the way of what could be.”
Melissa is a talented artist who has a great life and some wonderful friends. But she feels like there is just something missing and she can’t quite put her finger on it. She has always wanted a tattoo, but lacked the courage to get it done. So after a night out with her friends, they convince her to get one right then and there. They find a Tattoo shop in the area, but it isn’t open at that time of night. The girls decide to knock on the door anyway and when the door is opened by the store owner, Callum Reid- the connection and chemistry between him and Melissa is instantaneous and powerful, they feel like they have met before, even though they know they haven’t. This meeting opens up a whole new and exciting source of artistic inspiration for Melissa, and has her exploring the possibility and idea of past lives and soul mates.
I really loved the concept of this story. It was really sweet and quite erotic. Callum was a hunk and I would have let him tattoo me in a heartbeat. This is coming from a person who has never had any ink done before and never had an interest in it, till I read this story. The author wrote so beautifully, I felt like I was part of the story.

Inkarnate by: Mara Malins
Emily Mistry is a very talented portrait artist, but there isn’t a lot of money to be made from portraits at the moment and she desperately needs another source of income. She finds exactly the job she wants, at a tattoo studio- so she applies for the position and attends an interview with 5 other applicants, where they have to design tattoos for 3 different clients. Emily’s tattoo designs are superb and quite unique- the only problem is that Emily doesn’t look like your typical Tattoo studio employee; in fact Emily looks more like a Sunday school teacher.
She manages to get the job and is welcomed by all her new colleagues, except one- Matt Jones, who is the studio’s top artist. Things get off to an awkward start and don’t really improve as the days go by. But when all the staff go for drinks one night after work- things get interesting. They end up at a Dom/Sub Club where the sweet and inexperienced Emily has an awakening of sorts. Matt has a whole exciting and dominant side that Emily wants to get to know better. Matt has a lot he wants to teach Emily.
This story is HOT. It’s very erotic and really well written. I would have loved it to be a much longer novel, it was that good!


The Courier by: Danielle Davis
This story tells of a world where paper is so scarce that it has become a rare and valuable commodity. Messages are now written by Scripter on a human ‘canvas’, the courier. The Post Master controls the couriers, who are bought and sold like cattle.
Piers was sold by his family to become a courier and he has just been given his first assignment. His job is to deliver his message to Aubra- whose fiancé is breaking up with her via the canvas.
Aubra is very wealthy and owns a whole room full of books. Piers has never seen so much paper before. She is quite jaded and moody even though she appears to have everything a person could ever want. Piers is hopeful and optimistic, even though his circumstances are far from being ideal.
She is saddened at receiving the message, but feel a connection to Piers that she wants to explore. She organises for Piers to remain with her until the ink can fade from his body. Will they find their own fairy tale and happily ever after?
This is another great story in this anthology. It was different in a good way. The concept was unique and very imaginative. The story had a great pace and flowed well. A quick, easy read.


Through Glass a Stranger by: Renee Dominick
This story is about a voyeur and her obsession with her neighbour in the apartment opposite hers. She is fascinated by him and appreciates his routine. Watching him makes her feel powerful and sexy and helps breaks the monotony and loneliness of her life. She waits for her nightly ‘show’ and has become addicted to what she sees.
But what if he discovers her watching him? What if his ‘shows’ have always been for her? What if this stranger doesn’t want to be a stranger anymore? Will she drop her defences and let him in? Will she discover that they have more in common than she ever realised?
This was such a sexy read. It really made me think about what happens in big apartment buildings and that we never really know what someone has been through until we are willing to drop our defences and get let people in. The characters were really well written, fully developed and likeable. This didn’t feel like a short story and I loved every word of it.


For the Occasion by: Brantwijn Serrah
A story about the love, deep connection and commitment between a Dom, Mistress Selene and her Sub, Baby. A gift of a tattoo and the significance of behind the design and story of this tattoo.
Such a quick read, but a truly beautiful story with a wonderful message. The story didn’t feel rushed or like it was cut short in any way. A great idea perfectly executed by a talented author.

Sae-ri by: Nicole Blackwood
This is a sci-fi/fantasy story that tells of Zoe, a quirky, independent space explorer, adventurer and map maker. Add a set of very hunky, talented twins and this story really takes off!
WOW- This story is soooo great. I couldn’t read fast enough to find out what was happening! The author has a wonderful style and was so easy to read. I wanted more of this story and would love to have a full length novel. Really, you will want to read this story!

Ink and Ocean by: Meredith Dark
Kayla and Mark connected at NYU and had a wonderful time together exploring each other’s bodies. They had matching Tattoo’s, which are a constant reminder of their time together. They have been apart for some time, but this story tells of this reunion and why they have never been able to forget each other, despite having other relationships and lives that went in different directions.
I really liked this story. It was intriguing and entertaining. A sexy story with all the ingredients to make you want more, a lot more. Well done!


Painted Red by: Sara Dobie Bauer
Angie Clare is a vibrant, quirky girl from the wrong side of the track. She loves video games and works in sex shop. Her body is a beautiful canvas, dedicated to ink- her tattoos are an outer expression of her inner self.
This story tells of the night she meets Ben, a lawyer with a tattoo fetish- and what happens when their worlds collide!
I really loved this story; I didn’t want it to end. It would make a truly wonderful full length novel. The story was beautiful and so very erotic. Just loved everything about it.

If you have been on the fence about getting this anthology, I really recommend you get it- as it is so well done. You really won’t regret spending your time and money on this book.

Kinked Anthology is a book of eight short romantic/erotic storys that all center on the field of tattoo artistry and the ones that love to get tattoos.
***Begin Again written by Tiffany Michelle Brown*** Five stars.
Melissa has visited this tattoo parlour several times over the last two months to get tattoos and also because she has the tremendous pull to the shop owner Callum Reid. Every time she gets comfortable on the tattoo bench and Callum starts working on her, she has flash backs and they are so real and almost life-like. Could this be their connection? Could they have known each other in a previous life?
Very good story line and so tender and romantic. Their artistry is what draws them to each other and also the feeling that they have known each other for a while.

Emily Mistry is at the tattoo shop to apply for a position as an artist apprentice. She specializes in portraits and desperately needs work to pay the bills. The formal interview process includes a total of seven people including herself. To get the job they have to prove that they can design original drawings that accurately embody what each person they have a photo and description of might want in a tattoo.
Emily goes out with the other artisits one night after work and the club they go to is there mostly for those that want to "hook-up". Emily is inexperienced and "vanilla" and she is just following along until she is goaded into getting up and dancing by her co-worker Matt.
Matt Jones is and enigma all in his own. This story is full of hot kink. Whips and bondage. Which really leaves you wishing it was a longer book and you could see if they were able to build a relationship and to what extents they end up going to enjoy each other.

**The Courier written by Danielle Davis**

This is by far one of the weirdest books I have ever read. Not in a bad way more in an intriguing way. I would love to know more about the characters and the back story as well as the outcome of the situation.
This is about a Courier who was sold to the Post Master to do their bidding. He has had a letter tattooed onto his entire body and is sent to the woman it is intended for and he is very turned on by her reading of the letter.
Very different.
**Through Glass a Stranger written by Renee Dominick**
FIVE STARS
Liliya has been branded and is now embarassed to even desire a man. Across the way in a condo matching hers she watches him. From the dark of her own condo she watches as he gets home from work and takes his clothes off, walking from room to room in his own apartment. She is mesmerized by his own tattoos and is wondering what they mean and why he has them.
Anthony knows she watches and he is changing things up. He wants her to know he sees her.
Very well written and it gets to the point. You learn why she is a vouyer and what has happened to them both.
**For the Occasion written by Brantwijn Serrah**
FIVE STARS
This is a F/F D/s short story. Selene is watching on as her sub is naked and tied up waiting to be tattooed for their wedding. The sub is turned on by pain and the Domme is not a fan of experiencing pain but will give pain. The tattoo is a design created by Selene and her sub is honoring her by getting it for their special day.
Pretty good read. A lot of erotica in this one.

If there was ONE of the storys of this book that I could have an extended full version of this would be the one. I was pulled in and captivated by the sensuality of this entire story.
Zoe is a mapper who has crash landed on this planet that seems so less refined and less modern than where she comes from. When she crash landed she was able to directed her ship to aid a couple of guys who were fighting for their lives at the time. She ended up saving them and from that point on they swore their protection to her always.
Zoe ends up in an Oryndgreph, where Orynd-lao is practiced. The Orynd-lao is a centuries-old art, meaning "the surrendering." The patron, the rae-ki, surrenders their trust to the Master, the lao-ki. The Master in return surrenders their ... expertise.
Logan and Lukas are twin brothers and have sworn to protect Zoe forever since she saved them. The attration and desire between the three of them is undeniable. This book is full of magic and sex. Very erotic and this is the one story out of this entire book that I would enjoy more of. Very sensual. This book is a M/M/F with twins it is almost a D/D/s relationship however I think Zoe is in as much control of this relationship as the twins are.

Kayla and Michael met in college and durring their relationship Kayle introduced Michael to the D/s lifestyle and then she left him to be with someone else when she thought that Michael didn't want to marry. Now Kayla is seperated from her husband and was travelling on business when she ended up in the same place as MIchael and missed her plane. She calls Michael to come pick her up and this is the story of what takes place afterward. They discuss each others tattoos and explore their unending love for each other. Really good, sweet, sensual, story. Lots of D/s play.
** Painted Red written by Sara Dobie Bauer**
Angie Clare works in an adult sex shop. She is not one for relationships and has been known to be quite the slut. Only good for one night stands but that could all change after this encounter with Ben.
Ben is in town for a wedding and stumbled into the sex shop to buy a gag gift for the Groom when he meets tattooed and beautiful Angie. Ben has a thing for women with tattoos and Angie has a lot of them.
This is their story and how it came to be that Ben may convince Angie to be his.

Overall this anthology is really good. There are a few of the stories I really wished were longer and more in depth. But what I got from them was good too. Glad I read this. This book is not at all intended for anyone other than mature readers as there is sex and many many D/s relationships in them. As well as M/M/F and F/f. If tattoos is not something you like or enjoy, this book is FULL of tattoos.

kINKED – Pen and Kink Anthologies
5 star review overall
Wow what a fabulous collection of stories you will find in kINKED! All of the authors in this anthology were new to me so I was looking forward to reading the short stories that it contained and what a gem of stories they were! As with all anthologies I enjoyed some more than others but they were all an enjoyable read. They stories were hot and steamy! They were all different but with one common theme that begin ink! There were a few BDSM themed and some with paranormal elements to them but they were all kinky!

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown
What a fantastic first story in this anthology! It was unlike anything I had read before and I loved it! This one definitely had the potential to be a full length novel as I desperately wanted to know how Callum and Melissa knew each other! For a shorter story it wasn’t rushed. Callum sounded very sexy! Even I would consider a tattoo from him! This story also had a little bit of a paranormal feel to it!

Inkarnate by Mara Malins
This was one of the longer stories in the anthology but I still wanted more! I have to say this was probably my favourite one! It could be that it was because it was slightly longer and I could get my teeth into it or it could be that the scenes between the two main characters were steamy!! Emily wants to become an apprentice at a renowned tattoo parlour but one of the tattoo artists interviewing seems to take an instant dislike to her – but not for the reasons Emily is expecting!

The Courier by Danielle Davis
This was an interesting short story. It’s about Pier who has been sent to deliver a message – except his message comes in the form of an intricate tattoo on his body. Aubra is meant to read her message and send the courier back on his way, except she takes a liking to him!

Through Glass a Stranger by Renee Dominick
This was a nice little short story about Liliya who likes to watch the hot guy across the street! She thinks he can’t see her but one day when his routine changes she realises that he is also watching her. That’s when the game changes! This was a great hot short story that had quite a few steamy moments in it! I was quickly hooked on it and didn’t want it to end!

For The Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah
To be honest this was probably my least favourite book but only because I am not a fan of f/f stories however I cannot fault how well it was written! It was quiet a short story but didn’t feel rushed. I did like the relationship between the Mistress and her sub – they had a very sensual type of relationship. In the story we see the sub getting a memorable tattoo and how the Mistress enjoyed seeing the pain her sub was going through whilst getting her tattoo done.

Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood
This was one of the longer stories in the anthology and I will admit it took me a while to get in to. It is a paranormal/fantasy type book with an erotic twist. Once I had got into I quickly found myself drawn in to the story and I really enjoyed it. In this story we read about Zoe who travels across planets using stars to guide her. She arrives on one planet and find gorgeous twin brother who need her help. Little does Zoe know is that the twins will claim her as theirs and she has to decide whether to surrender to them or reject them. I loved the chemistry between all of the characters. I wouldn’t say this was a particularly easy read but definitely one that will captivate you!

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark
This was another shorter story in the anthology about Kayla and Mark. They were previously in a relationship where Kayla introduced Mark to the Dom/sub lifestyle but then Kayla vanished from Mark’s life. Mark struggles being a one woman man and that’s what Kayla wanted so she left to seek a normal relationship, even though she craves the Dom/sub life so when her marriage ends she seeks out Mark because she knows he’s the only person who can give her what she truly desires. In this story we see Kayla and Mark reunite and what a hot and steamy reunion it is! This is definitely a story of second chances along with Dom/sub characters! I really enjoyed this story!

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer
This was another favourite of mine in the anthology! It was a completely different storyline to anything I had read before and it was more about tattoo fetishes! In this story we meet Angie, who I thought was a great character, who owns a sex shop, she is also covered with beautiful, bright, colourful, video-game related tattoos. She also has a rule about never sleeping with the same man twice – that is until a sexy red-haired lawyer comes into her shop! Their attraction is immediate. The scenes between them were hot but also sweet at times. I was hooked into this story and would happily have read it as a full length novel!

Overall I really enjoyed this anthology and would definitely recommend it!! All of the stories were different, well thought out and excellently written – there is definitely something for everybody in here and some of these stories definitely had to potential to be full length novels!

Anthologies can be tricky - some stories will be amazing, but they can be overshadowed by ones that.. well, aren't as good. But that's not the case with kINKED. Every story in this book was incredibly well written, even beautifully so. As hot as these stories were, I was also pleased by how lyrical the writing could be. Short stories can be hit or miss with me, mostly because I find it difficult to truly get into an author's world when there isn't much time to describe it - but the authors in this anthology do an excellent job of giving the readers a sense of time and place, despite how few pages they have to do so. There's a couple authors in this anthology I will have to hunt down and see if they have anything else, because I was that into their writing style.

Highly recommended for all my fellow smut-loving readers.

The first story in the Kinked Anthology is Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown. A story of love found only to realized you have loved this person before, in another life. Melissa meets Callum when she decided she wanted a tattoo and from the first moment they laid eyes on each other they knew somehow they had met before. Through Melissa’s own drawings and dreams of her former life she finally gives into what her body and soul already knew it wanted...Callum

Hot hot hot!! Inkarnate by Mara Marlins was so good that I couldn't put it down. The chemistry
between Emily and Matt is so intense, so undeniable, that you can feel it in your own body. The writer is very good and the story of an innocent vanilla Emily meeting a dark and delicious Matt is captivating.

The third story in the Anthology called The Courier by Danielle Davis is much different than something I would normally read but it was unique and intriguing. Set in a time when people were used as paper to send messages, Pier found himself in the presence of a lady named Aubra. Aubra was in awe of the courier and their bond starts there and has endless possibilities.

Through glass a stranger by Renee Dominick is one based on voyeurism and it was definitely a different take on it. Liliya started it all by watching her new neighbour over and over until he knew she was watching. Anthony up the game by giving her what she wants to watch and more. As the time goes on Anthony sets in motion more than just voyeurism and this leads to the ultimum release.

For the occasion by Brantwign Serrah is an erotic yet romantic story about a Dominant named Selene and her Submissive. They love each other and know each other inside and out and to show that love they get inked in the most sexiest way. The writing is so erotic that you feel all the pain and pleasure the characters do.

Nicole Blackwood writes a story called Sae-ri. It's a story that is futuristic yet has dominant and submissive traits. Zoe has lust for the two two brothers Lukas and Logan since she first crashed into their world. Little did she know she was to be claimed by them, in mind, body and soul. Question is will she claim them back and give herself to them.

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark is a wonderfully dirty book about two people who were once lovers finding themselves back to each other. Kayla felt that Mark could never be with just one woman so she ran. Even after he tried to tell her she was wrong and that he would do anything to it lose her, she still ran. Years later she returned and that dominated man brings back the submissive girl she knows and loves. Will Kay stay this time.

The last story is one by Sara Dobie Bauer called Painted Red. A seductive story that brings two completely different people together. Angie, works in a sex store and she is full of tattoos. Ben is a big shot lawyer that has a fetus has for ink. These two odd ducks leave me wanting more from the story.

Over all the Kinked book and it's authors did a wonderful Anthology with a wide range of stories, each with a unique storyline.

Begin Again – Tiffany Michelle Brown
Can you find your soul mate and believe you are destine to meet them in each life. Melissa is currently at an engagement party with her friends and they are discussing tattoos. Melissa decides that she is ready for one now, as they check the surrounding area and come across one close. The girls rock up to a blue door and knock when a hot tattooed beauty opens the door he feels that he knows Melissa but cannot quite know where they have met before.
As Melissa is having the tattoo done she starts to dream about a past life, who should walk into the room but Callum the tattoo artist but he is being called another name. As Callum finishes the tattoo of a lavender bunch on Melissa’ hip. Once she goes home she is inspired to draw pictures of the dream she had and once the tattoo heals she loses her inspiration so decides to visit Callum again to get another tattoo.
While sitting in the chair she revisits another past life and the Callum also appears in this one but she dreams of a lot more passion they shared. Once she then understands that they are so familiar together is that they have been waiting and loving each other for life times and they also come together in the end.

Inkarnate – Mara Malins.
Emily needs a job, see spots an ad and decides to put her talents to good use. The job is an apprentice Tattoo artist, she meets Blakey the owner who is not convinced as Emily is dressed like a school teacher with no tattoos on her body at all but Blakey decides to give her a chance and invites her for an interview with five other people.
As she arrives for the interview she views the other applicants all looking like they should be there, Blakey then gives them three people to draw tattoos for and once they complete the task the other employees decide who gets the job. All of a sudden an argument is heard from the back room saying that they cannot employ her she looks like a school teacher, Emily gets embarrassed as she knows whoever it is, is talking about her, but to her astonishment she is given the job.
As she starts working there she runs into Matt, one of the best artists in the business and is really nasty to Emily, he was the one who voiced his opinion of her in the interview but the others embrace her and invite her out on Saturday night after work, although Emily just wants to go home, Matt goads her into going and what she discovers was what she was looking for. The club they go to is a Dom/Sub club and this is intriguing to Emily. Once the initial night happens she feels drawn to Matt and he recuse her from a situation and want’s to learn more about the scene itself.
As the story goes on she discovers that she enjoys the kink and trust Matt to show her that a little pain can be pleasurable too.

The Courier – Danielle Davis
This is a short story regarding The Courier, this is a person who has been sold into the world of the Post Master, these people use these lost souls to write messages on their bodies by Scribers. These scribers are sadistic people who get off on pain. This is the story of Pier who is sent to deliver a message to a woman who is about to be broken by her fiancé who is breaking up with her.
She discovers a bond with Pier and wants to stay with her and spend the time with her so his words will fade and that she can that him with the respect he should have.

This story is regarding a woman who is intrigued by the guy who lives opposite her. He follows the same routine every night and she feels sexy being the voyeur watching him and him not realising she is there. Until one night something happens he changes his routine and after a shower he normal arrives in his bedroom with his bottoms on with his towel around his neck and a bare chest but tonight its different he walks into his bedroom with just a towel wrapped around his bottom half of his body, when facing full onto the window he then drops the towel revealing his naked body. She feels he knows she is watching and the next night a message is on his blinds which asks her to call him. She refuses and then lowers her blinds as well and ignores the attraction between the two of them.
One day as she is getting groceries from the local shop in walks the hot tattooed man from across the way, he notices it’s her his secret voyeur and decides to call her bluff. He pleads with her call him and invites him to come into her apartment to get to know each other.
As the story goes on it lets you understand the reason why Liliya is happy to just watch and afraid to delve into the lust she has for Anthony.

For the occasion – Brantwijn Serrah
This is a story of a Dom/Sub relationship and the special bond between them. The story starts with Selena who has created the perfect tattoo for her sub to show her how much she cares for her. The story goes through the POV of the sub and the appreciation of the love that her Dom knows she needs, she loves pain and with the buzz and sting of the tattoo gun she is enjoying the sensations with every needle mark.
Once the tattoo of the crest of the moon around the night sky is completed, the Domme gives the ultimate sacrifice and gets a tattoo herself and this then cements to commitment they hold for each other.

Sae-ri – Nicole Blackwood
This story is set in a world of this universe, Zoe and Kira are in a bar when in walks two hunky tattooed man who Zoe has fantasied about and as her friend teases her regarding them Kira nearly lets of their secret but they shut her down.
Once outside the pub Kira decides to take Zoe to another pub, as they arrive Zoe is unsettled that this is not a normal pub and she is correct. In this world there are “masters of the body” a group of men who have trained to become these masters and need a woman to Surrender to them to be able to truly show them heaven.
Kira is supposed to give Zoe the information regarding this group so she can make a decision to surrender but she has already been matched to a mate but will Zoe surrender to this one mate. As Zoe is taken into another room she is informed that her mates are waiting for her and in walk Logan and Lucas, these men who recused her when her space ship crashed and shown her kindness to help her recover from her injuries.
As Lucas and Logan try to convince her to surrender she finally does and discovers what they have learnt to become masters.

Ink and Ocean- Meredith Dark
This is a short story about two people who were involved in a Dom/Sub relationship but Kayla abandoned the lifestyle to marry someone else.
Mark never really got over the desertion of Kayla and had her initial tattooed on his wrist next to his pulse to always remember this women. Kayla decides to come back and see Mark as her marriage was over and needs to see him. Once she gets close the chemistry cannot be quelled and they strike up their relationship again (literally). This story is hot and full of steamy action, Kayla understands that she needs this relationship with all her heart and glad she is back in the arms of her Dom.


Painted Red – Sara Dobie Bauer
This story is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks and the preppy rich guy. Ben is looking for dome funny sex toys for his best friend’s bachelor party and asks Angie for help, she suggests a gift and Ben is fascinated by her tattoo’s, so he invites her to join them at the bar when she finishes work.
Angie is a one night and leave them kind of girl and enjoys the attraction between her and Ben, when his friend says Ben gets turned on by tattoo’s Angie becomes more determined to have this guy. As they walk home Ben grabs Angie and drags her into to alley, they have hot kissing session but Ben outs on the brakes and decides to invite her to be his guest at his friend’s wedding and Angie agrees.
As they talk backwards and forward for the next few weeks Ben becomes more and more attracted to this tattooed goddess, so he decides that he can’t wait any longer and invites her to come to his hotel room. Once Angie arrives in a very revealing outfit the chemistry is instant and they are in each other’s arms in no time at all. They have a great night but Angie starts feeling more than a one night stand decides to run before she can develop anymore feeling for this wonderful man.
Ben can’t understand what he has done so he decides to track her down to understand what was going on within her head, as you can imagine the story ends happily ever after.
I enjoyed the great stories in this anthology, some I would like to see expanded as they would make great novels or novellas.

All the ink, heat, and adventures in one fast paced read!
This is an anthology of short stories edited by Cori Vidae. I was super impressed with the book, especially since I rarely choose anthologies, mostly because I find I always want more after each short story! No problems with this collection! Hot, hot, and more hot scenes, and most every niche of reader genera is covered in the book.

Begin Again by; Tiffany Michelle Brown
Melissa finds herself the center of fun during a friend’s engagement party. When she mentions one thing she wishes she could do it is that she wants a tattoo. The group stumbles upon a blue door with the enchanting Bottled Ink behind it. “Stepping into Bottled Ink was like stepping into a European pub. Everywhere Melissa looks, she found heavily lacquered wood- the floors, the walls, the countertops. The rustic décor was out of place in the middle of the steel, iron, and brick-laden city to which she was accustomed to.” She also finds the dashing Callum Reid, a scottsman heavily tatted hunk of a man. Its almost as if they know each other. The second they lay eyes on each other it seems as if they had been connected forever. There is a story that unfolds after Melissa gets her first tattoo, but confuses her. Will she find the answer to the mystery behind her ‘dreams’ and their connection?


Inkarnate by Mara Malins
Emily is a simple woman that is struggling to make ends meet after the death of her parents. She is also a very talented artist. She interviews for the position of a apprentice with a widely known tattoo parlor that actually pays. She captures the eye of the owner Blakey and the other artists save for one, the most sought after Matt Jones. The only problem is she has no tattoos, no piercings, and dresses ‘vanilla’ and looks more to be a teacher than a tattoo artist. Does Matt really not think she is worth the risk to train? She definitely has the hutzpah to fight for her space among the group and against Matt. “You don’t know anything about me Matt, you never even tried. You keep making assumptions based on how smart I’m dressed. That somehow by wearing smart clothes it must mean that I’m vanilla and boring. You think that don’t you?” His dare is in his response. “You have yet to prove me wrong.” They go back and forth with hating each other and flirting without words. This one ends with a hot note!

The Courier by; Danielle Davis
This short takes us back to a time where tattoo was done much differently. We meet Pier right as he is about to take his first delivery of his first message to “Northwoods” and the swanky Aubra. The catch is the letter is seared into his skin from head to toe, much as a tattoo. Aubra is caught by the unjaded mindset that Pier still retains regardless of the life he has been thrust into without a choice. Will she be his saving grace or his undoing? One thing is clear, “We are shifting winds in the same hurricane.”

Through Glass a Stranger by; Renee Dominick
Liliya is a voyeur. After a rough past she prefers to watch from afar in her skyscraper apartment and live vicariously through what she can spot with her binoculars of the man in the apartment across the way from her, Anthony. What is a safe distance for her, as she has scars but is fascinated by the man who seems to be putting a show on for her every day at the same time? That is until he catches on and starts to turn the tables on her and change the rules. Sometimes our tattoos are a scar so to speak that tells a story that we may never want to share to the world or anyone. Liliya learns that a bad decision does not need to define her future that is possible with Anthony, especially since he too has tattoos and scars he would rather not discuss the meaning behind. Another one that ends on a scorching hot note.

“There is something about the sound of a tattooist’s needle… A pleasure all its own, for those of us who like to be stung.” Selene is a domme that is committing herself, hence the occasion, to her partner and sub by getting tattoos that represent what they mean to each other. Ink is permanent, rings and paper is not. “This mark- the one Selene crafted herself just for us- is my real mark of ownership. Selene my moon goddess, and I her worshipful star. Small in her presence, simple beside her grace, held by her grace. Held in awe by her light. The tattoo she gets is the vow she makes to her lifelong commitment to Selena.

I do have to say this was not my most favorite of the anthology. I felt very confused and like I was just lost with a foreign alien type language that seemed to be ever changing. It by far is a hot and steamy story though. One of self-commitment for life. Zoe is a mapmaker that crashed into another universe basically. Soon she is saved, or rather she saves them, by connecting and helping twin brother werewolves, Lukas and Logan. Little does she know just how far the connection between the three will end up turning out. Eventually she is faced with the decision to forever commit to the twins, as they turn out to be soul bound. Will she be able to make the right decision or is she too afraid to take the leap of faith? Better yet does she even have the courage to promise herself to the guys? The markings, tattoos, that they all three carry may be making that decision for them regardless of what they or Zoe wants.

Kayla is just leaving a marriage that she really should have never entered to. It isn’t till a business trip causes her to have a layover in Miami, which is where the man of her dreams is living. A bold move has her staying and missing the connecting flight then calling Matt, her old lover, and her love of her life. Will Matt be able to trust that what they have will not disappear in the morning. He wants a life together no matter what happens. He has even had her initial tattooed to his wrist, right along his pulse, his beating heart. In the end will they find that what was right in front of them all those years ago at college is the love that they should have seen through? Will and apology make up for being left once already for Matt?

Angie is a wild girl, at least on the outside. Her job at a sex shop, copious amounts of tattoos, and fear of commitment seem to be holding her is a stale regular routine of one night stands that never lead to anything. She is afraid of being hurt once she allows herself to feel love for anyone. That is until she meets a customer looking for a bachelor party gift for his friend that will embarrass him. It is obvious from the beginning that there is a connection. Angie just wants to bed him and well Ben honestly just is transfixed by her as a whole, most of all her tattoos. A random conversation leads to Ben asking her to accompany him as his date to the wedding he’s going to in about a week. Spontaneously she agrees. He takes his time getting to know her through text and a quite date night. See Angie panics. This man was dangerous, more so than biker boys, tattoo artists, and narcissistic sex experts. Ben has a fetish for women with tattoos finding that they are often the strongest of women and that pushes all the right buttons. Will this be a one-night stand or will there be a chance of Angie letting her guard down and allowing herself to feel the feelings that he gives her.
Ink and kink, really they didn’t’ go wrong in anyway during this anthology. I would highly recommend it and think it would make a nice afternoon read even possibly by the pool so that you can cool off after some of the hotter stories.

Emily Mistry went into a well known, prestigious tattoo shop to get a prenticeship. She has no tattoos and was starting to think that would be a deal breaker as she was sitting in front of the four artist in her interview. Matt Jones the most famous of the four, he kept giving her looks that she was sure were meant to intimidate her. As time went on Emily and Matt realized that they weren't what their first impressions led them to believe.

““You don’t know anything about me, Matt,” she said. “You’ve never even tried. You keep making assumptions based on how I’m dressed. That somehow by wearing smart clothes it must mean I’m vanilla and boring. You think that, don’t you?” “You’ve yet to prove me wrong.” “How about I make some assumptions about you?” she asked, slamming her empty bottle down on the table. She’d had just enough with his attitude. His superiority. Even now he was watching her with that smug, arrogant expression on his handsome face. She couldn’t tolerate it any longer.”

Pier was sent as a body courier to Aubra. She lived in an exquisite estate and Pier immediately pegged her for a woman that was impressed with wealth. As he spent time with her he realized they had a common passion. When he first arrived with Aubras message tattooed on his body he never would have thought she'd be different than any other job.

She sat facing the window watching his condo in the dark for him to appear as she did every night. One day His routine changed and curiosity turned to interest that intensified the day he stopped in his window and offered what could only be interpreted as an invitation. “She lowered the binoculars, her heart beating slow and heavy as she waited. For the first few weeks he would leave for several minutes, and then reappear dressed in low-slung sweat pants, a towel draped around his neck, freshly showered and ready for a beer and dinner. Until the night he changed things. He had returned that night with the towel wrapped around his hips”
They never knew one another's name they just continued to play a game across the courtyard windows. Would they meet outside the safety of their homes? Would they learn anything about each other besides the desire they read on one another's faces?

“I want to change the game again. I want to hear you. I want you to hear me. What do you sound like when you watch me?”

It also reminded her of her home world. Would Zoe be brought back to her old world? How did Kira know where this place was and how to act properly? Zoe's realizing Kira may have some secrets of her own.

Kayla and Mark had a past so when she was stranded at the airport she decided to call him. She was starting to think it was a bad idea. Kayla always had feelings for Mark, but knew he'd never settle down and belong just to her.

While Mark had her pinned down she felt him studying her. Kayla had a small tattoo and to anyone else, it would just look like a Japanese character, a design. Mark knew Kayla and realized what it symbolized. After that she knew she wouldn't be able to hide her feelings. Kayla knew Mark has been with several woman since her and would be with many more after she left.

She ends up doing an interview with the four artists and let's just say one of them is very intimidating. She had to draw tattoos with other candidates to see who did the best work. Lets just say that Matt wasn’t very happy with the choice.
No effing way. She looks like a school teacher! Do you want to lose all credibility?

Emily is invited to go out with the group one night after work. The club they go to is not your usual club. We get to see a different side the Emily and Matt. Will Emily let Matt show her what he can do?
This was a very hot and steamy read.

When he meets Aubra and she reads her message, Pier starts to have some thoughts about her. He would carry her message for her for however long she wanted it. This is a very unique read.

Liliya likes to watch her neighbor, she has everything about him timed right out, until he changes something. Why was he ruining it now? When she see’s his message she is stunned, she didn’t realize that he knew she watched him. Things get very interesting now that he knows and he want’s more from her as well. Can Liliya give Anthony what he wants and needs?

Kinked was a great compilation of short hot and steamy reads with lot’s of tattoos. I enjoy reading the anthologies because it gives me the opportunity to read new authors. The authors of these stories have created stories that will pull you in from the first word. They are short stories that some of them I would love to hear more from. I loved each one and I don't think I have a favorite one as they are all my favorite. The characters in these stories are strong and seem to know exactly what they want and how to get it. Some are submissive and some are more controlling. You will love how you will be able to relate to these characters in some way. They are hot, steamy stories by some great authors that you will need to fan yourself with. I highly suggest this anthology as I know you will fall in love with the characters like I did.

Kinked is a collection of 8 short romance and kinky stories with tattoos at the heart of them.
I found these to be quite creative stories and not your usual hot and steamy romances. If you are going to write short sexy stories, the plots need to be strong and interesting and these do not disappoint.

In Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown we meet Melissa on a night out with the girls. She decides, after a little help from her friends that its time for her to get a tattoo so the girls take her for it. There they meet Callum and Melissa is instantly affected by him. He is convinced he knows her and he may well be right. A taster of how different these stories are.

Inkarnate by Mara Malins tells us the story of Emily. Emily is applying for an apprenticeship in a tattoo parlour. Not her preferred choice of workplace and definitely not her environment as she looks more like a school teacher than a tattooist. But her artwork appeals to the owner. She meets Matt, who seems to hate her. But is there more to this? And to her? The power of Emily and Matt’s connection comes through on this story making it very plausible and believable, something I found lacking in other stories of its kind.

The Courier by Danielle Davies introduces us to Pier and a strange new world where things are done very differently. Pier has a message to deliver. The message can only be delivered by him as it is not written on paper. This message is also not as simple a delivery as he might of liked. A very creative tale.

Through The Glass A Stranger by Renee Dominick is the 4th in this collection of stories. She has been watching Him from her apartment window which is right across from His. She has become used to his ways and routines. But now He knows She is watching Him. And his ways and routines are changing. This is quite gripping.

For The Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah brings is in on a special moment between a Female sub and Female dom. The sub is getting a beautiful tattoo designed by her dom whom she adore and lives to please. But her dom will be pleasing her as it is a special occasion. The tenderness in this stories is beautiful and well written.

Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood is other worldy, sexy story of something more than sex and lovers. It has potential for much more as it is very creative and hauntingly beautiful. Zoe is very attracted to brothers Logan and Lukas. But there is so much more to this attraction. It runs deeper than Zoe could of ever realised.

Ink And Ocean by Meredith Dark introduces us to Kayla who has separated from her husband. But she should have never been with him in the first place. It was always Mark and she should never have left him. Now she is back with him for, what seems like, one more night submissive passion. Or is there more to it?
Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer is a fun, sexy story about Angie who firmly sets her sights on having Ben, just for a night of passion. Angies does not do reruns. But Ben is not her usual type and, alongside imagining what she could do with him, she lets herself imagine more. That scares her as she does not let guys in. But Ben, as I said before, Ben is not her usual guy.

There is a bit of everything in this group of stories and each of them will be preference for many readers. I enjoyed the theme and creativity in these and that some of them were a bit out there. All of the stories are thrilling, not just the sexy parts either

When Logan and Lukas explain the process of her surrendering to them, and them making sure she is taken care of and her wants and desires are filled. The three of them end up with a matching tattoo that scares her and makes the two brothers extremely happy.
Ink and Ocean- Meredith Dark
Kayla and Mark have been in love with each other since collage. When Kayla left him and married another man there feelings never faded. Now that Kayle is stranded in Miami, Mark is determined to show her how much she means to him. Kayla tries to not get caught in the throes of passion; Mark wants to hear her beg. He has her change her safe word, and will leave her tied to his bed all night if he has to.

When Ben tells Angie what his fetish is she gets scared that she will not fit in with his friends.

I gave this anthology 5 star. All of the authors kept me reading from being to end, some of them I did not want to end. The details of the tattoos and sexual activities were amazing. I loved the many different kinks involved with these stories, and the different stories that go with the tattoos. The story I enjoyed the most was Sar-ri. It has fantasy, supernatural, bondage and a love story all wrapped into an amazing story. This is a book I would reread and would read more by each of these authors.

Kinked (Pen and Kink Anthology Book 2) is an anthology of eight books and edited by Cori Vidae. This book is an excellent selection of a wide variety of stories that feature tattoos and kink. All of these short stories are sizzling hot! I haven't read any of these authors but I will keep my eye out for them in the future.

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown
This story started with Melissa and her friends stopping in a tattoo shop after hours because she wants a tattoo. When the owner of the shop, Callum, opens the door, they both have a sort of deja vu. While Melissa gets her first tattoo, she fantasizes about another time. The attraction they feel is electric and they can deny a strong connection. Will Melissa be scared away by the attraction? Will they fall in love and be together for all time?

Inkarnate by Mara Malins
Emily has fallen on hard time since the death of her parents, so she is looking for a job to help pay her bills. She is an artist so she stops into a tattoo parlor to apply for an apprentice job. The owner, Blakey, takes one look at her and tries to discourage her because she has no tattoos or piercings and dresses like a school teacher, but she convinces him to give her an interview. She is chosen for the apprentice job, but Matt Jones one of the tattoo artist still doesn't think she will fit it. After work one night they all go to a club. Emily wants to show Matt that she could fit in, so when tries to scare her off and starts talking dirty to her. She likes his talk and decides to go home with him so he can show her the joys of kink.

The Courier by Danielle Davis
The Courier is one of the shortest stories about the past. Pier is a letter carrier on his first delivery with a letter for Aubra inscribed on his body. Aubra find the inscription on his body fascinating. She give Pier an offer he can’t refuse.

Through Glass a Stranger by Renee Dominick
Liliya lives in a high rise apartment and watches a man in the apartment across from her. Because of her past, she enjoys watching from afar where she can look but not have to interact. The man she is watching has become more brazen and one day he leaves her a message on his window shade. This scares her for a while, but then one afternoon the man, Anthony, sees her in the market. He asks her to call him. Will she reach out to him? Will they continue to see each other from afar. This is an excellent tale.

For the Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah
This story starts with a sub getting a tattoo for her Domme. This is a show of love for their seven year anniversary. The tattoo was design was designed by Mistress. The Mistress, who doesn't like pain, then binds them together by getting the same tattoo.

Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood
This is one of my favorite stories of this book. This story is about Zoe who is star mapper whose spaceship crashes on a planet where she saves twin werewolves,Lucas and Logan. This fantastic tale is about secret rituals becoming sole mates.

Inked and Ocean by Meredith Dark
This is a story of Kayla and Mark. When Kayla missed her flight, she New it was a mistake to call Mark. When they were in college they had a Dom/sub relationship and she wasn't sure she want to start that again. The last time she saw Mark was two year before and married. What will happen when they see each other again.

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bower
Angie is a tattooed hellion who works sex shop. She meets Ben Anthony, a lawyer from New York City, who came into the store to buy a gag gift for bachelor party. Ben is attracted to Angie and asks her to meet him at the party when she gets off work. She is a party girl who likes one night stand so she agrees. When Angie shows up she thinks Ben will go home with her, but instead he asks her to the wedding. They text for a week get to know each other. Will they have a one night stand? Will they fall in love? You just have to read to find out.

This anthology was a truly great read. I read the book in one day. I loved all of the stories and wish they were longer. If you're look for hot, sizzling and sexy this book is for you.

This anthology has eight stories that are hot, sexy, and entertaining short stories that I NEED to be turned into longer novels!! So authors, could you all work on that please!?!
Everyone else hang on to your panties! If this anthology doesn’t make you a little hot and bothered, well I really don’t know what to tell you! These stories include f/f, m/f, voyeurism, and many other ideas. They all have one thing in common though, ink. Tattoos, sexy men and women with tattoos. Some are the artists creating the tattoos some are receiving them. Each story is worthy of five stars!

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown is a story about Melissa, who when she finally goes to get her first tattoo, starts having visions of the tattoo artist. A feeling of knowing him, of remembering them together. But how? They do have a very hot connection.

Inkarnate by Mara Malins is about Emily who becomes a tattoo apprentice, despite or maybe because of the fact that she doesn’t have a single tattoo anywhere on her body. Matt is one of the artists in the shop but he’s hiding something…does Emily want to know?

The Courier by Danielle Davis is a different type of story. The ink in this short story certainly has something to tell. Can there really be a happily ever after for Pier, who carries the message and Aubra, the one receiving the message?

Through Glass A Stranger is by Renee Dominick. I loved this story. We all have things we want to hide. Sometimes we just need to be seen for our true selves. This story has some voyeurism and even some exhibitionism in it.

For the Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah is about getting a tattoo for a reason. Sometimes we get them for a reward, for love, or to remember a special event. This “occasion” calls for some bondage and a little ink!

Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood is a story I’m calling Ink Magic. Oh my. This story is about simply surrendering. As easy as that sounds, giving over all control is hard. This story definitely seems to have more to be told.

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark is a short story about dominant Mark and submissive Kayla. They are ex-lovers but they get back together for one wild night. But do they want more? Can they really have more?

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer. This story made me laugh out loud and sigh and smile. Angie works in a sex shop. She sees and meets all kinds of people. Some she even hooks up with. Then one day Ben enters the shop. And things change. But doesn’t everyone want one night with the “tattoo freak girl”?

I said it at the beginning of this review and I’m saying it again: these stories are hot and I need more! You won’t be sorry reading this anthology. Each author had smooth writing styles that made me keep turning the page. Eight new to me authors! So many books, so little time!

These and some short sizzling stories that take you to the places where kink meets ink and leave you indelibly marked. I love reading about tattoos and getting ink especially since I have a few tattoos myself and I’m getting another one soon. I rate this book a 4 because some of these stories wood be good written in full length while a few left me blah.

We meet Melissa and Callum in which a chance encounter for her first tattoo send her in a spin of fantasies, feelings and an undeniable connection between the two of them. Their connection is so intense that is electric and they think they know each other but unsure where from.
Inkarnate - Mara Malins
We meet Emily as she applies for an apprenticeship job at a tattoo studio the only problem is she far from fits in. She has no tattoos and dresses like a teacher. The first couple of weeks are miserable for her by another employee but with her other new friends at the work place she takes the offer of going to a club which is never her style.
The Courier - Danielle Davis
We meet Pier as he arrives at a large mansion with only one job in mind, to complete his mission to deliver a message. The thing is the message is seared into his skin from head to toe, like a tattoo. Pier and Aubra spend time together and Pier realizes they have passion and he didn’t realize that this job was more than any of his other jobs.

Begin Again- Tiffany Michelle Brown
I loved this story of Melissa and Callum. Melissa went with her friends to get a tattoo and then she was sucked in and needed more and more. This was a really good story and it left me wanting more.
Inkarnate – Mara Malins
This was one of my favorites because it was different. Emily needed a job so she applied for an apprenticeship at a tattoo studio but this is not a typical job for Emily. Emily goes in looking like a school teacher and everyone looks at her differently. Can she prove herself the right person for the job?
The Courier – Danielle Davis
This is one I had a hard time reading so there is not a lot to tell about it from me. Pier lives in a mansion and he has a job to deliver a message. He ends up meeting Aubra.

This book was fun for me. I enjoyed Liliya the girl that lived across from the guy who had a specific routine each day and a tattoo that covered one side of his body. This book kept me wanting more because of their playing they did each day across from each other.

This was my favorite of all of the stories.
Kayla left a bad marriage and had her best friend Mark pick her up from the airport and they picked up where they left off. Mark is amazing and so caring of Kayla. He would do anything in the world for her and she has been blind to this for a long time.
Painted Red – Sara Dobie Bower
LOVED!! Angie works in a sex shop and she is very picky with men. Then there is a group of men in town for a bachelor’s party and this red head walks in and Angie takes notice of him. This is such a great book and I loved every minute of it.

I enjoyed this anthology, there were some of the stories that weren't to my taste but your always going to get that in a collection like this. Equally there are some that I wish were full books in there own right!
There's a few of the authors that after reading this I want to look up for more of their work, id happily read more anthologies like this.
The only reason I've given it 4 not 5 stars is because, as I said, a few stories were not to my taste.

What an awesome collection!! Multiple authors teasing us with hot, steamy and yes, very kinky sex. The other common thread is ink. Tattoos. On the guy, on the girl, on both, on everyone! As a fetishist myself, and a tatted woman, I thoroughly enjoyed these vignettes. Most would make awesome series and I plan to check out all of the authors as well!!

Each of these novellas are highly addictive and definitely make you hot under the collar. Kinked by Cori Vidae is an enticing, erotic anthology.
In the first story, Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown, the main character Melissa is railroaded into getting a tattoo by her friends. She has absolutely no idea what she is about to experience. The attraction and need that Melissa and Cullum share will rock your world! This story is bold, seductive, mysterious, and I enjoyed it very much. I would love to read a longer version...just to ease my inquisitive mind.

Next in the anthology is Inkarnate by Mara Malins that is hot, hot, hot. This woman can weave a tale of seduction and entice the most vanilla of lovers to try new things. The story begins with our character Emily stepping out of her element and applying for an apprenticeship in a highly known tattoo studio. She is faced with numerous challenges but makes some interesting people along the way. But nothing compares to the lessons that she is to learn from Matt.

The Courier by Danielle Davis is not your typical erotic read but more of an ancient form of seduction. The tale let me feel the emotions of the letter’s recipient, Audra as well as those of the letter, Pier. This is a short story with an interesting storyline.

Next is Through Glass a Stranger by Renee Dominick which brings us a peek at the inside like of a peeping Tom who gets off on the sexual pleasure of the man across the courtyard. After an excruciating wait they begin a new exploration. This is a really exciting story with vivid descriptions and strong emotions.

For the Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah is a little out of my comfort zone as it is a tale of erotic love between two women, a dom and a submissive. However, the writing is exquisite and the emotion and seduction in the act of tattooing is compelling. You can feel the excitement and desperation of the need to please. This story gives a wonderful ending that is very uncharacteristic of the cast of players.

Sae-ri, by Nicole Blackwood, is the longest and most complicated anthology in this book to follow. The detail is intricate from the runes on walls and people to the description of hidden castles. The exotic experience in this book involving twin brothers are equal to those of most women’s dreams. This is intelligently written without losing the erotic feelings and ideals.

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark, starts us out with a steamy interaction between an dominatrix and a divorcee who had previously been his submissive. The action is intense and I could feel her anticipation as he demanded more of her. He took more. Their twisted relationship evolves and the end is not what you expect.

And lastly, Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer, Angie runs a sex shop and carries on with a variety of sexual experiences as research. When awkward Ben enters her shop, so begins another adventure. She enjoys showing a little fun to Mr. Manners by taking him to her place. This is must read to see what happens next.

In my opinion, if you are into erotic reading, then this collection is definitely for you and is well worth the five stars!

Pretty standard collection of kink stories. Most of them consist of the usual hetero, female sub/male Dom setup with the sub almost always being the narrator.
Best story: "Through Glass a Stranger" by Renee Dominick. Breaks the mould by focusing on a voyeur/exhibitionist pairing where both people involved have self-knowledge of their desires and control over the situation. Beautiful writing that avoids purple prose.
Worst story: "Sae-ri" by Nicole Blackwood. Who needs informed consent when you have magic? Tries to shove as many story tropes in as possible -- alien planet with a western setting, werewolves, Eastern mysticism, made-up words -- which makes it very clunky to read.

kINKED is an anthology consisting of 8 stories by various authors.

The first book is called Begin Again, written by Michelle Brown. The story revolves around Melissa and Callum. A spur of the moment decision leads them to each other, with both sensing a connection that is irresistible, even though they have never met. The addictive passion they both feel increases throughout and neither of them can deny that inevitable draw to each other.

Inkarnate, by Mara Malins, is the second book and it is based on Emily and Matt. Emily is a classic example of why one should not judge a book by it’s cover. The clashes between her and Matt are explosive. Tension mounts. Emily embarks on a journey of discovery with Matt, who is a more than eager teacher, where kink is only the beginning.

The third story is The Courier, by danielle Davis. It centres on Pier and Aubra. Pier worked as a courier, and he as tasked with delivering a most unusual message. The message itself was not the strange part, but the way it was delivered. A sinful and strangely sexy read.

The fourth story is Through Glass a Stranger, written by Renee Dominick. An anonymous liaison between neighbours is where this story begins. They both want each other, and with the arousal and intrigue increasing at every glance, secret viewings were not so secret anymore. A chance meeting raises many unanswered questions. A cleverly written story that will keep you glued to the pages from start to finish. A meeting of broken souls with like minded desires coming together in the most intimate of ways.

For The Occasion is the fifth book in the anthology, written by Brantwijn Serrah. This story put a whole new spin on getting a tattoo. Selene and her sub give a glimpse into the pleasure/pain world of a mistress marking a very special moment with her sub.

Sae-ri, by Nicole Blackwood, is the sixth story. It is a great little paranormal, which is exciting and really funny, sexy and clever. Zoe will learn things are not what they seem and she is not who she believed herself to be. Lukas and Logan are on hand to help her through the discovery of finding the new Zoe, with passion and fire aplenty.

The seventh story is Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark. Kayla and Mark find themselves together after time apart. Kayla has built up walls that seem impenetrable, but Mark is willing to work hard to smash those walls down. He has a hard time convincing Kayla to overcome her insecurities and convince her that his love for her is real and lasting. She just needs to take a chance on him and their love.

Book eight is, Painted red by Sara Dobie Bauer takes you for wild ride. Angie works at a sex shop where some very interesting classes are held. She meets Ben and sparks fly instantly. It is a case of the nerd taking a walk on the wild side with a tatted up, sexy siren, who has done everything she can to avoid commitment. Ben has her in his sights and is not going to let her get away.

Each story seems to have a heavy focus on tattoos and kink. A great collection that has such variety, it will appeal to almost anyone who like a little kink….. and ink.

KINKED- “Every tattoo tells a story”.
The first story in this anthology is “Begin Again” by Tiffany Michelle Brown. This tale wasn't at all what I was thinking of or expecting it to be. INK, KINK, ALPHA, OH MY! Starting with a fun filled bachelorette group taking an adventure to getting some ink. Melissa is drawn to this tattoo shop. “Bottles Ink”. The owner, Callum Reid has a familiar air about him leaving Melissa searching and wanting more. When these two are near one another something ignites- sending them both on the path of knowing. Melissa feels a longing with memories of a past connection. How can that be? Can Callum and Melissa be anyone else? Something about these two got me hooked. It was over way too soon.
2) INKARNATE- Mara Mullins
The second book in this set was was HOT! What a fun and exciting book of kink and new worlds. Meeting Emily, who is starting out on a new adventure. Setting out to have her artistic nature she decides to become a tattoo artist. Meeting new people and a whole other lifestyle. She becomes enthralled in a journey that makes her blush, stepping into a new skin. She realizes there is more she is interested in. Having a coworker open her eyes, setting her up to new things that she wasn't aware she wanted. I absolutely enjoyed this! I have never read anything from Mara Mallins and I will definitely be looking for more.

3) The Courier- Danielle Davis
This book wasn't what I was expecting based on the title alone. I guess that's why they say don't judge a book by its cover! This story was comparably shorter than the others. Knowing this is a tale of ink, it is set in a different time era. Starting with Pier- the courier. He has been sent to deliver a message to Ms. Aubra. Now, this message isn't like anything you would expect, you'd think it was on paper? No! The message is scrolled, inked into Pier’s skin. He was to deliver himself for her to read, then return for his body to heal for more messages. However Ms. Aubra has her own ideas. She seems to enjoy the pain in delivery herself. This was quite a different tale for me. Interesting for sure.

4) Through Glass A Stranger- Renee Dominick
The fourth book is quite a steamy read! A short tale that I really enjoyed. Turns out our characters are exhibitionists and on the pervy exotic side. Liliya enjoys watching her neighbor, likes his daily and nightly routine. She knows it by the minute. Turns out it becomes fair play, he enjoys watching her too! There were many steamy encounters. The games change among neighbors. Things get really good upon their meeting. I could've read more of these two a lot longer! Seems I found a new story teller in Ms. Dominick.

5) For The Occasion- Brantwijn Serrah
The fifth book in Themis Anthony is a story about two woman in a SUB/DOMME relationship. Selene being the Domme solidifies her relationships and love of her sub with an elaborate tattoo to show just how much she means to her. This tale is told from the sub’s point of view. Seeing all the love and addiction. The placement of the tattoo seems crazy but makes sense for the character. There is a nice and unexpected ending. This was a sweet story.

6) Sae-ri - Nicole Blackwood
WOW! Not what I was expecting! I LOVED this story! Never thought I would enjoy a paranormal story but I was enthralled from the beginning. I have read some paranormal stuff before but this story really had me wanting more. Two friends, Kira and Zoe start in a bar diss using the attraction Zoe has with two brothers who are werewolves. Lukas and Logan. Seems Logan and Lukas want Zoe for themselves too, to have her surrender to them and be their matched mate. The ceremony to be mates together was something to witnesses and I enjoyed that. I definitely wanted more of the hot trio! I will search out Nicole Blackwood’s books for more.

7) Ink and Ocean- Meredith Dark
I loved this short story! Only complaint, it was way too short!! This one reunited two past lovers in a tangle again. Kayla who is newly separated from her husband coming back to Mark her past love. Past alpha. It's her past of him that she misses. I loved their dynamics! I wish their story was longer and or continues on. Ms. Dark side grabbed my attention with her style of writing! Can't wait for more from her!!

8) Painted Red- Sara Dobie Bauer
This anthology kept getting better and better! I LOVED this last story! Angie, an inked up gal who runs an adult shop, who only ends up with a guy once meets Ben, a lawyer in town for a buddy’s bachelor party and wedding. Thinking going into the adult shop would embarrass his friend turned into a trip that left him speechless. Instant chemistry between Angie and Ben. Loved the banter between them two. Angie is use to the one time casual hookup, turns out Ben has a fetish and an inkling for more than one night. This one was a really fun read!!

All of these right stories were a fun and exciting read! Some more than others peaked my interest for more. It certainly got my attention in finding new authors. Painted Red, Ink & Ocean and Sae-ri were my favorites! The others were great too. I read through these stories quickly as I could not seem to put it down. Anthologies to me seem to get lost but this one held my attention and brought me new material. You should not hesitate in reading KINKED!

Kinked Anthology has 8 short stories combined into 1 fabulous book. I am giving this a 4.5 star rating. All of these stories have one major factor in them all, sexy tattooed men. Here is a little glimpse into my take of these stories.

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown
In this book we meet Melissa and Callum. The first time they meet is when Melissa is out for her friends bachelorette party. When she decides to get a tattoo, her and the girls end up and Bottled Ink, Callum’s tattoo shop. When they first set eyes on each other, they both feel a connection but can not figure out where it is from.

Inkarnate by Mara Mullins
Emily is an artist but she isn't making enough money to survive just by her art work. She sees that a tattoo parlor is looking for a new artist. She is the total opposite of the other applicants, where they all have tattoos and piercings, Emily has nothing. Matt is a tattoo artist at the shop and doesn't think that she will be a fit. When the gang goes to a club after work, Matt makes it known to her just how he feels as what he wants from her. Hot, steamy and sexy in the short kinky story.

The Courier by Danielle Davis
Pier is a message courier. When he has a message to be delivered, it is tattooed right into his body. The message that he is to deliver is a revenge type break up letter to Aubra. When he arrives at her home, she is fascinated by not only him, but by the script and asks him to stay longer than the few hours he is allowed.

Through Glass a Stranger by Renee Dominick
Liliya watches her neighbor every night. She knows his routine perfectly until he changes it. She knows every inch of his body, clothed and naked. When they bump into each other at the store, she is a little freaked it. Anthony wants to get to know her better and more personally.

For the Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah
This is a F/F mistress/slave love story. Selene is the Domme and her sub/slave is getting tattooed for their special day. The love is very clear for these two. It become even clearer when Selene, who hate needles, gets tattooed to show how much she loves her.

Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood
This was one of the longer short stories. Zoe is in a different world. When she can't get two shifters out of her thoughts, her friends Kira takes her to a castle where she learns their practices. While there, Logan and Lukas give themselves to Zoe and they are bound together. When Zoe realizes that they are soul mates, she makes a run for it. She doesn't want to lose them but can she stay?

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark
The ink isn't even dried on Kayla’s Separation Decree. Even while she was married to her husband, Mark was never far from her thoughts. Even after time apart, they fall right back into their comfort levels with each other. When Mark sees Kayla’s tattoo, he knows that he can't be without her again. Will Kayla choose him this time around?

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer
Angie works at a sex shop. Ben is in town for a friends wedding. When he end up in her store looking for a gag gift for his friend, they are instantly attracted to each other. Can a “stuffy” lawyer from New York fall for a tattooed, sex shop worker?

In this book it is an Anthology of several short stories. I am not a fan of short stories as I prefer reading novels but as far as short stories goes this one isn’t too bad. Some of these stories have your thinking in different ways and scratching your head but the story always turns out good and has some steamy lines in it.

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown. Melissa is out and she decides that she wants a tattoo. Melissa has a strange feeling as soon as she meets up with the tattoo artist that they have met before. Melissa has dreams and she follows her heart and gives into herself and realizes what she wants and that is Callum.
Inkarnate by Mara Marlins. Emily is a straight lace young lady who doesn’t fit in when she decides to apply to be a student at a tattoo studio. Emily is convinced to go out one night with the people she is working with. Emily soon gets drawn toward Matt who has a dark side.
The Courier by Danielle Davis. This story was intriguing and different. People used their bodies as a canvas to write letters on. Pier is a messenger and delivers a letter to Aubra. Aubra wanted to keep Pier for longer then was normal in this situation and they start to feel things toward each other.

Through glass a stranger by Renee Dominick. Liliya sits watching a man across the way from her apartment. She knows his routine until one day that routine changes and there is sign in his window. Anthony changes the game they’ve been playing. Time goes by and the game changes from voyeurism to the ultimate game.
For the occasion by Brantwign Serrah. This is a story of a dominant and her submissive. Their journey together and getting inked to show their love. The dominant shows her submissive the ultimate of love to get inked together.
Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood. Zoe has some longing toward brothers since she first arrived in their world. The twin brothers want to protect her whether she wants them to or not. They also want to claim her. Will she let it happen?

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark. Kayla wanted everything and nothing. Kayla showed Mark the Dominant life. Only she wanted forever and Mark didn’t. One day Kayla disappears. Can these two find each other again and get what they both want out of a relationship.

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer This is a story of two opposites coming together. Angie works in a sex shop and covered in tattoos. Angie has a rule and only sleeps with the same guy twice. Ben is instantly attracted to Angie when he goes into her store. Can Ben change Angie’s opinion on only twice?

kINKED is an awesome anthology that brings together kink and ink. I mean duh right? Each of these short stories have tattoos that are so powerful and just enough kink to make it droolworthy. No vanilla here. I enjoyed this collection a lot.

Begin Again by Tiffany Michelle Brown introduces us to Melissa and Callum. Melissa and her friends were out celebrating one of their engagements when Melissa announced she wanted a tattoo. Done, no problem. Insert Callum, the yummy Scottish inked tattoo shop owner and artist who apparently brings out her artistic creativity. When she gets tattoos she is able to fantasize and draw sexy scenes. It is only later trough her fantasies that she realizes she knows him. Could it be something that has been decades in the making?

Inkarnate by Mara Malins was AMAZING and hot as you know what, unfffff. Emily is probably the last person you'd think would be an apprentice at a tattoo shop as she doesn't have any herself. Matt is one of the people who work at the studio and he's an absolute jerk toward her. But is it because he doesn't like her or he doesn't want to hurt and corrupt her? Stepping out of your comfort zone can sometimes be exactly what you need. Come on Mara I need moooooore!!

The Courier by Danielle Davis was a particularly interesting read. Pier is a courier send to deliver a message. Though this message is not in paper, it is inked into his entire body. The receiver, Aubra, is about to receive news from someone that is less than pleasant. The two quickly realize there is somewhat of a bond as she seems to want him to stay much longer than to just deliver the message. While I wouldn't normally read something like this, I am interested in what would happen between the two.

Through Glass a Stranger by Renee Dominick went from weird to sexy real quick. Liliya is basically a peeping Tom who watches her hot tattooed neighbor all the time. She knows his routine but when he changes it up she gets concerned, he's seen her. She ends up running into him during every day errands where he recognizes her. His name is Anthony. From there things just get steamy. Like hot breath on a window. Good lord this was sexy, weird but sexy.

For the Occasion by Brantwijn Serrah shows us the relationship of the the Domme Selene and her submissive. Selene is allowing her submissive to receive a tattoo designed by her as an appreciative token of the pain endured by the submissive. The love for each other and dedication is truly seen in this writing.


Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood tells us a supernatural take with a little dominate and submissive story between Zoe and two twin brothers. Yeah, guys... twins. The boys have been protecting her and with that have claimed her but she is unsure if she is willing and able to give herself to them. Will she? Is it possible? I mean really is there enough to go around? Zoe needs to figure aaaa lot of things out with Lukas and Logan.

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark tells us that sometimes two previous lovers can fall for each other later on in life.
Is Kayla able to give herself to him? Will Mark forgive her for leaving? Kayla is leaving a marriage and knows who she wants to be with. Their tattoos say it all.

Finally, painted Red by Sara Dobie Bower gives us Angie and Ben. Angie loves video games, tattoos and the sex shop she works for. Sara brings two completely different people together for this wonderful instant attraction story. Would love to know more about them!!

Begin Again -Tiffany Michelle Brown
Begin Again is about Callum and Melissa who know each other but take a little bit of time to figure it out. When Melissa goes to Bottled Ink for a tattoo, Callum can’t take his eyes of her and tells her that he knows her from somewhere. Melissa says the same thing and keeps going back for more tattoos until she finally understands how they know each other. Tiffany Michelle Brown is a master at leaving you hanging until the very end where you get that now I see moment. Her writing is like no one else’s.

Inkarnate- Mara Malins
When Emily goes into a tattoo parlor looking for work, Matt doesn’t trust her because she doesn’t have tattoos herself and she doesn’t fit in with the crowd. But what Matt didn’t know is that she desperately needs the job and when the other artist offer it to her she takes it much to his dismay. When he keeps trying to push her away, things change. Mara Malins is a fantastic writer who takes an ordinary woman and a bad boy and puts them together. You will laugh and get mad at the characters for what they do.

The Courier- Danielle Davis
This novel is a slightly darker mini romance. Instead of using paper, they use people to write the letters on and send them to the addressee. When one of them is sent to a woman who is a machosist, she decides to keep the courier. Danielle Davis is a talented writer who writes on the darker side.
Through Glass a Stranger- Renee Dominick
Renee Dominick is a wonderful and talented writer. You will fall in love with Through Glass a Stranger and want to reread it repeatedly. When characters spy on each other through a glass, things get steamy for them. They share something that is only between them and no one else knows what is going on.
For the Occasion- Brantwijin Serrah
This novella left me wondering but in a good way. Filled with surprises that you don’t see coming. Brantwijin Serrah is a great writer who knows what the reader wants. Fall in love with a new way of reading every time you open a book by Brantwijin Serrah.
Sae-ri by Nicole Blackwood
This was one of the lengthier stories in the anthology. It is a paranormal/fantasy kind of book with an erotic twist. Once I had got into I quickly found myself drawn in to the story and I really enjoyed it. In this story, we read about Zoe who travels across planets using stars to guide her. I wouldn’t say this was a particularly easy read but one that will captivate you. Nicole Blackwood is an amazing author and it shows in her creativeness when she writes.

Ink and Ocean by Meredith Dark
This was another short story in the anthology about Kayla and Mark. They were in a relationship where Kayla acquainted Mark to the Dom/sub lifestyle but then Kayla left Mark. Mark struggles being a one-woman man and that’s what Kayla wanted so she left to seek a normal relationship, even though she craves the Dom/sub life so when her marriage ends she seeks out Mark because she knows he’s the only person who can give her what she truly desires. This is a story of second chances along with Dom/sub characters.

Painted Red by Sara Dobie Bauer
In this story we meet Angie, who owns a sex shop, she is also covered with beautiful, bright, colorful, video-game related tattoos. She has a rule about never sleeping with the same man twice, that is until a sexy red-haired lawyer comes into her shop. Their attraction is immediate. The scenes between them were hot but also sweet at times. I was hooked into this story and would happily have read it as a full-length novel. Sara Dobie Bauer is an extremely talented author that will pull you right into the book.

Overall I really enjoyed this anthology and would recommend it. All the stories were different, well thought out and excellently written. there is something for everyone in here.
