I did enjoy this book but I have to say it wasn't my favourite in the series, it took me quite a while to get into it, but was worth it in the end.

It was a beautiful story which told of love, Regret, passion and a whole heap of struggles through the years, both of their pasts were so damn hard and so incredibly sad and to add extremely heart wrenching, there were twists and turns, heartache in abundance but with saying that there was also a deep rooted love, to infinity and beyond, and so beautifully told.

The were a few things that frustrated the hell out of me that being mainly Noah( Gillian's co worker) and Gillian's relationship with Noah he was crossing the lines between work colleagues and wanting more!

Noah really irritated me, like a stalker on heat Lol, and Gillian for gods sake woman, pull your big girl panties up, and tell Noah to back the hell off, she should have stated that right form the beginning, and then she wouldn't have been put into the awkward situations she found herself in every time Raeford ( her true love) would would call or turn up to see her, ( but she's just too nice)!

I Loved Raeford, he was such a down to earth sorta guy, but I certainly did feel for him with his struggles for Gillian, it seemed like 1 step forward and 2 steps back, he just couldn't get a break, it seems every time he rang or met with Gillian, somebody else (Noah the Stalker) was always around fighting for Gillian's affections....anyway he could, damn he was persistent, But saying that it was by manipulation on his part he didn't really stand a chance with Raeford and Gillian's love, which evolved and in the end was eternal which couldn't be broken.

All in all, the story was beautifully told, and a good addition to the Heartbeat series, and even though it wasn't my favourite it doesn't mean it won't be for others!

I could not wait to read Jillian and Raefords book as I loved The Heartbeat Series of Madison and Rand and I was not disappointed. It was told from dual perspectives and was both beautiful and sadly heartfelt. This couple have struggled both individually but also as a couple but their back story was not only horrific but beautiful.
It was sad reading about loss through Jillian's eyes but I am glad that they both got a chance at changing their future.
There were a number of times I wanted to jump into the book and scream and yell at Noah, because he just didn't get it. This book was a beautiful edition to the Heartbeat Series.

I have been waiting for this book and I am glad that I read it right away. The 3rd book in the series. This book is Jillian and Reaford's story. I love how these two meet and how the story about love and the discovery of each other. It is a story about love, and how strong a love can be and how to make that love work in good and bad times. I loved Reafords story. I started this book and read it in one sitting. A great addition to the seris

Finally

Radford and Jillian....what a story. I love their story.I found it frustrating that Jillian didn't acknowledge the meddling from Noah, but I love that Radford never gave up his love. I also love that Jillian knew what she really wanted and needed I her life.

Didn't like the girl.

The plot was not normal reactions to what was going on. The girl must be stupid to get in the situations that she fell into. I liked the drummer but the band sounded like it was falling apart. I prefer the have more band time in a rock romance.

Every true love story has ups and downs, good and bad, happy and sad...but Jillian and Raeford have beyond all this! They have stalker, they have deception, they have loss, they have distance which does not help their situation....From the beginning Jillian feels an instant attraction for the drummer in the rolling isaacs. As her best friend Madison tours with the band and has a whirlwind romance with the lead singer Rand, Jillian is drawn to the drummer Raeford. Raeford in turn is drawn toward Jillian, Who he nicknames Red. They instantly bond and fall for each other, but it can't be that easy. Jillians coworker Noah sees to that. He has eyes for Jillian and doesn't believe that Raeford is good enough for her. He sabotages their relationship every chance he gets. Jillian is blind to this.
I wanted to jump in and smack Noah so many times, and shake Jillian for not seeing right through Noah!
I cried so many times reading this book, it had me in an emotional ball. I wanted nothing more than to reach in and fix everything for Jillian and Raeford. To tell them to grow up and act like adults. Then I remembered they are much younger than I am. And this is truly the first love for each of them. I was somewhat disappointed with the last chapter, I wanted more......I guess that means it s really good. And I can't wait for the next book!

This is part of the Heartbeat series--which I love--though this book is a standalone that can be read apart from the other three. When I think of that old saying, "what a tangled web we weave," I can see it so clearly in First Beat. I found myself both loving and hating the different characters in this book, and wanting jump through the pages and tell them what I thought they should be doing! Jillian and Raeford make for complex and interesting chemistry. There's a lot of rock star romance on the market. It's one of those sub genres that picked up steam and led to many authors trying to write it. And much of it is not worth reading. But Renee Lee Fisher is one of best, most consistent writers I have discovered, and she beats out all the rest in rock and roll romance. I would highly recommend the whole Heartbeat series.

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Raeford ( Raymond) lost both his parents at an early age and was sent to the Winslow Foster Care Center. After being there for a while a little girl was also brought there bacause she had lost both her parents in a tragic accident. Little Red was the name he would call her because of her red hair, but one day the Big People came to visite and picked her to take with them which left him happy for her but sad for him cause he would no longer be with her. On one of the tours Madison brought Jillian her best friend who was very interested in Raeford, they both hitted off great and soon started going out. After the tragic event that send Madison and Jillian to the hospital and where she was told that she had lost Raeford's baby everything seemed to be falling apart. After a misunderstanding at Jillian's work place Raeford left without letting her explain what was really going on in her office with Noah her co worker. When Jillian finds out by accident that she was adopted and then her and Raeford not being together anymore she decides to take time off and figure out her past, but when she gets there she finds out a bigger surprise from her past.
