Simon Le Beau desperately wants two things: to help his fellow service veterans and have a baby with his beloved mate, Rose. He has no idea how to start a charity, but his friend, Mark, is just the man to help him figure it out. Rose Le Beau loves her mate, but babies terrify her. What does she know about babies? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Tragically wounded, combat veteran Mark Anderson has a lot of time on his hands. No longer able to serve his country and suffering from PTSD, he’s bored and at his wits’ end. That is, until his conversation with Simon. What had he been thinking when he offered to be one of the singles auctioned off? A date, he’s okay with. Anything more sends him into a panic attack. Sharon Lejeune's intuition is screaming that something big is about to happen. She just didn’t expect that something big to be her mate. Who knew a shifter could purchase a mate at a singles auction? To the Le Beaus, family is everything. Together, there isn’t much they can’t overcome. Have they finally met a situation they can’t solve? Welcome to New Orleans, Louisiana, where every myth and scary story you were ever told is real. A place where the things that go bump in the night, or daytime for that matter, are surprisingly friendly. For the most part. Take a good look at your neighbor, the person sitting beside you at the bar, or your coworker. Are you sure they’re human?

V.A. Dold is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Award-winning Le Beau Series, League of Guardians series, and K.I.S.S series. Her idea of absolute heaven is a day in the French Quarter with a cup of café au lait, and the Le Beau brothers, of course. A Midwest native, with her heart lost to the French Quarter. She has a penchant for titillating tales featuring sexy men and strong women. When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or traveling. Oh, and there is the distinct possibility she is hanging out with Etienne.
We have two stories in this newest novella by author VA Dold. The main story concerns a close military friend of Simon's, Mark, whom he has hired to oversee his The Unforgotten Hero Foundation and Sharon, a female shifter and friend of the Le Beau's. Mark is perfect to head the charity as he is a wounded soldier with both physical and emotional problems and to help him he has Rizzo, a PTSD service animal. To start off this new venture Simon has Rose prepare a charity ball where they will have a "singles auction" to raise funds. It only takes one look for Sharon to know that she has finally found her "mate". At the same time, when Mark first sees her he understand what "love at first sight" means. You'll love reading how Sharon helps Mark to overcome his fears and explaining how the paranormal world is real and she is part of it. Can Mark accept the truth and love her anyway? During the months this is occurring we also have Simon trying to reassure Rose that her fear of having children is natural, but Rose is terrified because she knows nothing of raising a child. So here we are, two couples coming to crossroads in their lives, both filled with love and uncertainties. I loved this story and it's characters, our wounded soldiers need all the help we can give them and any story with a Le Beau brother in it can't help but be great. I hate giving spoilers so hope I didn't give away too much, but if you love reading paranormal romance that includes hot sexy love, along with a touch of humor and strong characters, well this is definitely for you.
Loved that we got more Simon and Rose and Mark and Sharon. What an awesome story with the best conversion! My heart broke a little when Mark gave Rizzo to his new handler. I am so eager to read more of this series!
Such a heartwarming and loving story... To feel the love and instant connection between soulmates. First the connection between Mark and Rizzo... How she anticipates and calms him for every PTSD episode. Then the love at first sight insta recognition of the souls of Mark & Sharon.
Have read this story multiple times and enjoyed it more each time. This is the first time for the sweet version and it is every bit as good, only I can now recommend it to my granddaughter too.
Different Kindle edition titled - MARK ANDERSON’S STORY book 3. This is actually about Mark and Sharon with some Simon and Rose included. One of this authors biggest problems is her timeline flow. She throws random facts about something that has happened, even though we just went on that journey and didn’t see it. Or we jump hours or days ahead with no warning. In this story Sharon goes shopping for a new gown, then has to go buy shoes and handbag to match. Once home after her stressful day of shopping, yeah right, whilst soaking in a bath, we are told she also had her hair done. Why was this not in Sharon’s thoughts actions from earlier. They also have unprotected sex even though Mark has condoms, Sharon says not needed. WHY? She is not that old that she cannot have children. Apart from that annoying fact, this book really dealt well with the subject of returning soldiers, amputee limbs and the psychological issues that go along with injuries of that calibre. Especially in a sexual situation, it was extremely well done. I just found the end with Marks’s leg too unbelievable and then he gives Rizzo to another returned serviceman. But they think no-one is going to question why he no longer suffers PTSD and gave away his support dog. Why didn’t Sharon just shift to her wolf to prove it to Mark, rather than he go to Simon? I feel sorry for Rizzo, Mark’s service dog. We get minutiae information about boring stuff but this dog is never fed. Read in the box set through KU.
This is a series that runs alongside the Le Beau Brothers Series it can be read right about book 2 or after book 3. I read it after Simon Book 2. This book once again focuses on Simon and Rose but also his friend Mark. Simon wants to start a charity to help his fellow soldiers, only problem is he doesn’t know anything about starting a charity. Mark agrees to help him figure it out. They decide they want to start by helping other soldiers receive service dogs. Mark already has one so they figure that’s where they should start. Rose loves Simon beyond words but babies scare her. She knows Simon wants one but she doesn’t have any experience with one and she didn’t have any loving parents growing up to draw from. Rose helps Simon do a charity auction to raise money for the charity they want to start. They do an auction and auction off a date with someone. Mark is the first on the auction block. Mark can’t believe his luck as he bought by a beautiful woman who he is drawn to. Sharon knew the moment she saw Mark that he was her mate. Now comes the difficult part of getting him to accept that she isn’t fully human and he is her mate. Let’s just say Mark isn’t as easily convinced as Rose and Anna were. This book was funny, romantic, and so much more. I can’t wait to read more about this characters and what happens next. Just like the other two this book had me hooked from the start. V.A. Dold is definitely on my authors to look out for list. Congrats on another great book.
What a great way to give us the next step in Simon and Rose's story, but to also give Mark, his best friend and brother Marine, a happily ever after. This story in the series feels like a filler in that it closes a few openings in the series and paves the way for what's next. I enjoyed learning about Sharon, a confident woman who is comfortable in her own skin, and makes no apologies for it. I like too that the face that people see is a middle aged woman who is a bit overweight. That is the woman she unabashedly embraces. Reading how Mark is impacted by his relationship with Simon is completely heart warming. This story is a great tribute to our service members who have sacrficed so much. The author did a good job weaving what happens when these brave men and women get home into the story. Now that another baby Le Beau has made an appearance, I am ready for what V.A. Dold has in store for us. I read this one out of sequence and am literally waiting, impatiently I might add, for Marcus to be released as well as the next installment in the K.I.S.S. and League of Guardians series.
Simon and Rose support Simon’s best friend Mark in his endeavors. He is a war hero who lost part of his leg and now wears a prosthetic. He also has a therapy dog to help him through the bad nightmares and panic attacks. At the auction, he is bought by a beautiful woman named Sharon. She knows immediately he is her mate. Rose and Simon are also expecting a baby~ When Sharon lets Mark in on her secret, he will undergo a conversion never attempted before. It could cost him his life~ he is willing to do the conversion for Sharon! This is a sweet romantic story in the series. It is about overcoming PTSD and other nightmares suffered from war. It is about standing together through the worse and best of times. Also, there is a secret about Rose and Simon’s baby from the due date! Read the next installment in the LeBeau Brothers Series…you will absolutely LOVE this one! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
Bought From KINDLE UNLIMITED Title: Mark Anderson’s Story Simon & Rose Series: Le BeauSeries #3 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: V.A. Dold Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre: #PRN #WolfShifter #Mates #5Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• 💢This story basically continues after Simon. I love this series, especially these Hot Marines.
🔹️Mark Anderson is a human who is Retired Marine, not by choice, many months ago he was attacked, losing his leg. Now with PTSD, Mark and his trusty dog Rizzo are very close. He is grateful Simon his marine buddy called him for help. Being a lifer and then fast retirement is not what it’s cranked up to be. Now he has offered his services to Rose and Simon at a benefit. Will anyone bid on this old marine? Let the battle begin.
I have enjoyed the entire Le Beau brothers series. In this kind-of 2 for 1 there is the extended story of Simon and Rose. Plus the story of Mark, Simon's buddy from the marine corp. I was touched by the bond between Mark and his PTSD dog, Rizzo. These dog s perform a great service for our vets and I appreciate V.A. Dold including this in this story. I also just read Cade & Anna as well. Both of these books reveled more about the mated couples which was nice to see a little more of the H E A . welcome to the pack Abbi and Malcom.
Delightful addition to the Le Beau series. Mark is a wonderful, yet damaged, character who has overcome some tragic instances in his life which leaves him with severe PTSD. Little does he know that by helping Simon with his new charity, he will change his life forever! When he and Sharon meet, sparks really fly. I loved Mark’s reaction to Sharon’s secret. This book also gives us a look into Simon and Rose’s life after their mating. It is a great story. I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Awesome addition to the LeBeau paranormal family series. This is Mark Anderson’s story but has most of the other characters from previous books. Mark was Simons commanding office in the Marines. Unfortunately, Mark lost his leg and has a therapy dog. He meets Sharon at a bachelor action to help fund for more service dogs for servicemen. Mark is human but he’s in for a surprise. I enjoyed the characters and storyline. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to leave a review. I look forward to reading future books by V.A. Dold.
Mark suffers with ptsd and other issues from being at war his service dog helps with this and continues to build from Simons story.
Sharon is strong and confident in this book more so than the previous female leads although all have strong and equally beautiful characteristics that charm you.
This is the 3rd in the series and inbound say more fast paced than the others but it certainly doesn't feel forced you continue to see all ready visited characters and meet new ones.
There is nothing better than reading a book that the story continues on with the next family member.By the time you are through reading all the books you become part of that family.Mark really deserved to meet someone. He came back from the war slightly broken.Sharon put him on the right track by loving him.Simon and Rose have a big announcement.Read the book to find out.
Simon remembers his commanding officer Mark who lost part of his leg. He also has PTDS and a therapy dog. Simon wants to make more dogs available to vets like Mark and starts a charity with Mark as the VP. At the charity auction for the PTDS Mark is auctioned off as the first bachelor and is purchased by Sharon his mate. Mark lost his leg from above the knee down and is worried about making love to a woman, thinks he’s broken there until he sees Sharon. This is a wonderful love story
Simon Le Beau and Mark Anderson want to start a charity to help veteran with PTSD dogs. Mark was injured in combat and lost a leg, he has a PTSD dog. He knows what thousands of veterans feel. They decide to have an auction to raise money. Mark is talked into to being in the auction. Sharon Lejeune see Mark at the auction and knows he's her mate. She bids on him and wins. I really like this book. The story was interesting and developed well.
Mark is a awesome man and when he agrees 2 b in the benefit 2 raise money 4 special dogs he's on when he finds out some interesting news he freaks out like most people do but when he gets confirmation that everything that was told 2 him was true he's eager 2 make things rt. It's sad in the end but in the long one it will help all 3 of them 4 the better. It's good at the end where men find the out just how it feels when having kids lol
This is a wonderful love story. Each book is better than the last. I liked how the author was able to tell Mark's story, but included the continuation of Simon and Rose's story. It was nice to have the female as the shifter for a change. I want to thank all of our serviceman and women who put their lives on the line every day.
This was a great book ! Mark Anderson regrets volutering to be in a single's auction. Sharon did not know what she was getting into when when she won Mark from an auction. Loved the characters + the storytelling ! It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book! I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I loved this story about a vet and his ptsd recovery. Great fundraising scheme aids in positive results. Mark is rewarded with a new love and a job. Simon & Rose blossom and find their new foundation very rewarding. Poor Stefan gets blindsided by his mate. Laugh out loud funny in places.
I've just started reading this series and now I can't stop. Each book has been great, wonderful characters and I love all the family interactions. I'm off to read the next in the series!
This let's us see how Rose and Simon are doing with their charity and let's us meet Mark who just happens to be a mate for a friend of their family, his conversion is alot more complicated since he lost pat of his leg over seas.
