Actions to become braver in life. Being brave does not imply making huge heroic risks, but also with taking steps outside your comfort zone every day. Speaking the truth even at the risk of creating conflict is a great example, or addressing sadness, which will lead to a happier and fuller life.
The essential core of this book (and being Brave) is choosing who you want to be, building the foundation you need to become that person (reflection, vision, values, etc.) and then choosing to be who you are. Speak up when you need to, bring your passion to whatever you do, keep going when things get tough, and start living your dreams.
It's an easy book to pick up and put down as the mood takes you, or to read day by day as a series of challenges. It's not a deep discussion, but it could be the beginning of a journey.

“Dig Deep” teaches you the trait of resiliency. The faster you recover from setbacks the faster you can move toward your goals.
In Brave, Warrell promises to help you become more courageous — if you take action. Does she succeed? I’d say “Yes!”
The chapter “Say no to the good to say yes to the great” hit home for me. For 21 years I’ve worked as a writer. I enjoy it and I’m familiar with it. But my passion is reading.
Reading Brave has inspired me to start a book summary service for high-achieving professionals. I’m saying yes to the great for me.

I just finished reading Margie Warrell’s Brave, and I’m a fan! Brave contains a great mix of practical advice for anyone who’s struggled with that nagging voice telling you you’re not brave enough, good enough, or anything else enough to pursue your dreams or even engage in a conversation with someone. Margie starts the book by outlining 10 Building Blocks for Living Your Life Bravely, then shows how these 10 principles can be applied to your own life, and how they’ve been applied to others’ lives, to lead to a better, braver life.
Throughout the book, Margie follows the idea that if you aren’t as brave as you’d like to be now, you can change! You just need to train your bravery muscles in much the same way that you would improve your memory, or actually improve your muscles.
I’m really impressed with this read, and I would definitely recommend it to friends, family, and anyone who’s ever felt that they wanted to have more courage.
I really loved BRAVE for so many reasons. The main reason is because the book left me inspired and with the confidence to take on any challenge. I enjoyed how Margie presented her tips and tricks for a successful and courageous life. Her 50 acts were easy to digest and possible for everyone. Overall it was an exciting and inspiring read. I would recommend to a friend.
It says a lot of things that are obvious, and the chapters are often very short. It seems to be a collection of ideas worth exploring on their own, but it does provide suggestions as to where to start.
