Rate this book
A woman with a dream…
Bridget Donnelly wants to be more than just another Donnelly Devil. For years, she's worked to save enough money to open her own winery. All she needs is a few more years as Lost Coast Harbor's only bookie. But when she catches the eye of the sexy new police chief, her dangerous desires put her own future at risk.

A cop with a code…
Ethan Ford used to spend more time breaking laws than enforcing them. Now, he's determined to redeem himself by cleaning up Lost Coast Harbor's police department…but his attraction to the seductive local bookie is tempting him back to his sinful ways…

When a real threat emerges, Ethan will do anything to protect Bridget—but he can't protect her from herself. Can he look the other way while the woman he loves defies the law he's sworn to uphold—or will he gamble it all to save her?

This book has everything I look for in a great read. A beautifully crafted suspenseful storyline that keeps the threat of danger to our heroine Bridget front and center while they both straddle the line between law and order. Complicating matters is the deliciously hot and sizzling sexual chemistry between Bridget and Ethan that builds to a fever pitch forcing him to choose a life with Bridget or his position as Chief of Police. With dangerous characters and corruption around every corner will this couple stay and fight for their love or bend to the pressure and walk away? Smart and fast paced, this storyline deserves 5 stars. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own

Eve Kincaid and Lily Danes have created a wonderful town on the coast of Northern California. It is a beautiful place with interesting characters that you might find in any small community. The fact that the Chief of Police, one of his detectives and at least one major business of a founding father were corrupt and had to be dealt with is only one part of this story and has been dealt with in the earlier books of the series.

In this book Ethan Ford, the new Chief of Police, is doing a ride-along with one of his deputies when he meets Bridget Donnelly outside a bar
They definitely take notice of one another. Bridget is not shy and lets her interest be known to Ethan who is not afraid to act on the chemistry between them. As Ethan gets to know the town, the townspeople and Bridget better he finds that it is not the sleepy little community he thought it was and has quite a bit to process as he comes to terms with his position, LCH inhabitants and his growing interest in Bridget.

I love this series and look forward with eagerness to each book that is released. Every new book provides a new layer to the series and in learning more about Lost Coast Harbor’s dynamics, its people and the friendships of those that live within it I become more invested and even more eager to read about future matches that the single Donnelly family members, Ivy, Grace, Bree, Trevor and others mentioned in the books so far will be making as the series progresses.

Thank you to the authors for allowing me to be in their advanced reader’s group. I feel honored to receive copies of their work to read in exchange for my honest review.

Lost Coast Harbor is undergoing a change. The corrupt police chief has been removed. Enter new Police Chief Ethan Ford, who is all about being honest and ethical. Who knew he would fall for the town bookie, Bridget Connelly, and she would fall equally as hard for him?

You get steamy romance, mystery, and intrigue. I loved the sexy, sassy dialogue between Ethan and Bridget. This is definitely another Lost Coast Harbor success.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a difficult to put down book. I just wanted to read it straight through with no interruptions.

Who doesn’t love a bad boy? Who doesn’t love a sexy hard bodied bad boy? Do I have the reader’s attention? I thought so, because there is a sexy, tough, hard bodied bad boy in this book and his name is Ethan. I love that name, not because it’s my nephew’s name, but because it suits the character’s personality and I just loved him so much.

This is the fourth in the A Lost Coast Harbor series and I have to say I’m really sad and sorry that the series is almost over. This is a continuing story and as I have mentioned in my other reviews, I highly recommend reading this series from start to finish, as I don’t think the books would be as entertaining.

Ethan and Bridget are two peas in a pod; they both love trouble, and have gotten into it more times than they can count. That’s where the similarities end with these two. Bridget comes from a home with parents, siblings, and family togetherness, while Ethan did not. He had a much tougher upbringing, and it helped create who he is today.

The two of them struggle with finding the balance they need to make their relationship work, but it was so worth it to see them come to terms with who they are, how to accept who their partner is, and how to make a relationship work where they are both happy. It wasn’t easy, but I loved reading it come to fruition.

Ethan and Bridget gave each other a run for their money and just when one thought they had the other one fooled, things got turned around. Neither one could get anything past the other; they are perfect for each other. I love that, they were made for each other.

I really hope that the reader will give this series a shot, it’s just so good.

The Lost Coast Harbor series always is a good read, This book is about the town's bookie Bridgett Donnelly and the by the rules sheriff Ethan Ford. They both have their quirks and pasts but can they both overlook it to make it a go. I thought this was a great story and really wanted the two of them to have a story. I was happy with the ending.

Devils Gamble

New PoliceChief Ethan Ford meets and fallS for the town bookie, Bridget Donnelley. Ethan discovers someone is gunning for Bridget and he doesn’t like it at all. In fact his conflicting feelings for law and order and Bridget’s side business almost makes him quit. Can’t wait to read the rest of the story.

This was a pretty good story. I liked the backstory for Ethan and the motivation and connection to family for Bridget. I liked her independence while appreciating the support she had. The romance and sex was steamy. Plus, there was a little bit of intrigue. But man, that shady town counsel! I did think that the issue with her well was a bit anti-climatic. Boom got 'em.... that's all. (LAME!)

Bookie meets cop

She's the local bookie, he's the cop brought in to clean up the town after some local cops are indicted for corruption. Can he clean it up? Will she quit being a bookie? Can they make a relationship work?

I’ve enjoyed all the others, but this one was bad. It made no sense. There was so much build up of 2 bad guys trying to take her down and absolutely no pay off. The mayor behind the bookie takedown? Dumb. Why? It could have been so much more and I’m very disappointed.

Bridget Donnelly is one of the Donnelly Devils, but in her case, she the small town’s bookie so she sort of still is a devil. Ethan Ford is the new police chief brought in to clean up the corruption in the town of Lost Coast Harbour. Except Bridget catches Ethan’s eye as soon as he comes to town and before he learns that Bridget would not be good for his reputation as police chief. Ethan’s commanding presence gets Bridget’s attention as well.
Both characters are complex and troubled. They are good people or at least they want to be but life hasn’t always been easy for them and they have made some questionable decisions. This gives them more in common and draws them together while at the same time their presents should be pushing them apart. Ethan is so sexy as a man in uniform. He is also very protective and while Bridget thinks she can take care of herself, it seems like someone might want to kill her.
The writing is so passionate and suspenseful you won’t want to put this down. I really loved this story. I think this is the best Lost Coast Harbour story yet and I have loved them all so far. I hope there are more.

Bridget is the only Donnelly that made a career out of working in the family business. But her heart wasn't in it. She dreamt of making it out side of the family name, on her own.
After the fall out with the previous Chief of Police, Ethan was hired to come on as the chief, and they would vote him in if he was a good fit. Ethan came to Lost Coast Harbor for a fresh start and get away from the influences he had. Only to find Bridget, the town bookie. As hard as he tried to avoid her, he was drawn to her that much more.
Can the chief and the town bookie find a comprise? Or will they be to stubborn to give a little to find love?
Devil's Gamble is the forth book in the Lost Coast Harbor Series. Even though the book was wrote as part of a series it can be read as a stand alone, but is enhanced if you read the entire series and the books build off of each other.

The Devil's Gamble is my new favorite in the Lost Coast Harbor series. Bridget Donnelly and Ethan Ford are on fire with each other from the beginning with their conflict stemming from his position as the new Police Chief since she runs the town's illegal bookie operation. He's there to clean up the city after the previous chief was dishonest and has fears that their relationship will compromise his ethics in his position. Someone is secretly threatening Bridget which may have to do with her bookmaking enterprise and/or her home's proximity to an illegal marijuana grow operation. This was a complex romance with a number of intertwined plot lines throughout. I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it.

Oh how I love The Lost Coast Harbor series! The characters are fantastic, there's always some mystery and suspense, steamy romance, and the story just carries you away. The Devil's Gamble is no exception. I loved Bridget and Ethan and they kept me entertained the entire book. Ethan is the hot, alpha law man with a shady past who has turned his life around and Bridget is independent, fiesty, and is on the wrong side of the law part of the time. This is a great read that can be read as a stand alone, but I definitely recommend you check out the entire series. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Will Ethan be able to turn blinds eye when it comes to Bridget? This story pulled me in from the beginning and will not disappoint. Received copy for honest review

In Devil's Gamble we meet the new LCH Chief of Police Ethan Ford. And when he meets Bridget Donnelly all bets are off. This falling in love story expands our Lost Coast Harbor world while taking us on an action packed exploration of light duty crime and an honest cop.Love will win out one way or the other, but what will have to give, his morals or her dream?

Well written, engaging storyline, characters you care about, and some scorching hot scenes.
