Success, Motivation, and the Scriptures

For many years I have believed and have taught that Christians should be the most positive, the attractive, and the most successful people in the world! Yet, many Christians are content to live humdrum, mediocre lives--content with the status quo when they could and should be turning the world 'up-side up.' (form the forword)

Great book. Disects the core messages of popular self-help books and reframes them. Looking at them from a perspective of divine viewpoint in the spiritual life is insightful, well said, and well done in this book.

This book challenges a bunch of typical thinking that has crept into the church, and helps to sort out any confusion regarding what God's Word teaches about success, motivation, and making money. It makes you examine and think about what you have been taught and believe, and it may require a sacred cow barbecue on a couple of issues. To function properly, and fulfill our callings, proper alignment is required on these issues. This book will help with that! I would have given it a higher rating, but found my copy's print format and scripture references were dated and somewhat more difficult to read than normal.

Some interesting concepts, but a little dated.
