So why not buddy up with a friend over a cup of tea and take each other’s body measurement. When you need to make an outfit, you already have all the measurements you need.
The directions are simple but what is most helpful are the pictures which follow. If you didn't understand the written, no confusion with the picture. Beside the simplicity of the book, I was reminded about measurements I have forgotten were important .knee, cup and the thigh. Bonus if a free PDF lined skirt.
Not a lot to say because the book was simple to understand and had pics for visual reference. A perfect book with a slight change. The measurement while sitting in a flat chair is not called the "bodice", but is still a great measurement to have.
Not as in depth as I hoped. Still, some practical suggestions for novice home seamstress. This mini-book provides directions for determining basic body measurements. Missing: how to apply these measurements to pattern drafting. It is exactly as titled...an introduction.

I nearly forgot to make a review of this book. It is a very quick read but a marvelous reference if you are a sewer and like to make your own clothes. I did learn about things I often forget to measure when buying a pattern or even making my own patterns. I will be keeping this handy when I get back into sewing again.
For someone who is a beginner like myself I believe it is extremely helpful in helping a novice understand how to measure dimensions for patterns and how to change pattern sizes according to different sizes or body types. A grrat reference book.
