William Pill is an internet blogger with an interest in crime fiction; however, he has always wanted to help solve a real crime. Luckily for him, opportunity knocks (or falls down dead outside his apartment) and he sets to work, hoping to solve the murder. As his morbid interests grow, so do the concerns of his girlfriend, Christine as she watches her boyfriend play with the notion of being a detective. His dream is realized when he meets DCI John Barker who offers to take Pill along on his investigation.
