No sugar, no artificial flavorings or colors, no dairy, no gluten - get enough sleep, exercise and provide structure. That is the "cure" suggested in this book. Seems simple enough but it is not easy.

Interestingly enough I've paid thousands of dollars to take my son to specialists and the cure suggested in this book plus vitamins, minerals and probiotics is basically the "cure" I've paid a lot to learn.

It's not easy but I would suggest anyone struggling with issues with their children make a valiant effort to try nutrition and lifestyle changes in place of medication. We've been 3 months without sugar, 2 months without dairy and are working our way to be completely gluten free. We are medication free and doing well.

I was a little put off by the string of celebrity endorsements on the back cover. Much of this book is common sense. The "cure" is strictly following a sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free diet - not an easy cure. I'm trying to incorporate at least some of this into our family's diet, but getting my child to give up all sugar, dairy and gluten would be an uphill battle. I do agree, however, that what we put into our bodies greatly affects our ability to concentrate and our moods.

Let me sum up the entire book. No sugar. Cut out dairy and gluten. Exercise. Meal ideas. The end.

Not that I disagree with those, but how can you be a doctor writing about this and not include any studies or discuss nutrient levels or chemical imbalances.

I was looking for specific information and other resources that wasn't in this book. The recipes in the book look and sound yummy but so many ingredients! Otherwise good info, just a refresher course for me.

These are the things that families neglect in dealing with their child. Once in a while, these treatments should be given attention to.
