Not a beginners book. It has some projects for the house, a practical
skills section and a pattern library section. The projects are written
in words and diagrams.
I find all of Jan's book well presented and easy to follow.

I have no hesitation in recommending this book to anyone with some
crochet experince.

This was my first crochet book. I've most of the projects in high school and college. The only tricky thing is that everything is written in UK terms. So what it calls a double crochet stitch is the equivalent of a single, etc. There is a conversion chart in the introduction.

This book has instructions on crochet both with written instructions and using symbols and charts. The projects are all lace patterns executed in yarn or thread. Some beautiful examples and plentiful patterns.
