My Review:
Sharing your day around a kitchen table over a meal that was prepared by loving hands is such a precious gift to your children that you can do it pretty much effortlessly. Devotions from the Kitchen table are so sweet, homey and cozy that it's like sitting down at the table with your Momma discussing your day. I loved the sweet sentiment along with the amazing pictures.
Along with each simple devotional entry you have a scripture base with a small one line prayer to sum everything up. The author gives you a tiny Bible lesson in each entry that also connects you back to the Bible. A great way to start my day and the pictures are amazing and perfect for kitchen table devotions.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. All opinions are my own.
Yes, submerse your spiritual side in the chapters of this specially written book of devotions. With a small amount of time and a friend or family member you can feel uplifted and ready for the day. This is a faith based book.
This is a beautiful, sturdy devotional. The photography is beautiful and will make you want to head into the kitchen to make something tasty. Each devotional is food related - titles like Grandma's Kitchen, Seasoned with Salt, Follow the Recipe and Fingerprints on the Glass. The devotions begin with a line or two of scripture, followed by a short story, and culminating in a short prayer. I think this book would make a fun gift for Mother's Day, a bridal shower, or a birthday for someone who finds joy in the kitchen.
The simple things in life can often have spiritual meaning. Gather around the kitchen table as the author pulls from the scenes and objects from the kitchen to share simple truths and amazing blessings from God's word.
I really enjoyed this book. The cover is attractive and appealing. The simple, but beautiful photography is spread throughout the book. Each devotion begins with a scripture. Then the author ties it in with some thoughts from around the kitchen table. Topics such as recipes, dishes, and family. Each devotional was personal and fit with the theme. This would be an excellent gift. But I would purchase a copy for yourself. I loved the concept and they were very well written and spoke to me.
