Panzerotta e Crocchetto è un fumetto amatissimo in Spagna, che racconta, semplicemente, le dinamiche della vita condivisa da una giovane coppia di innamorati. Solo che sono una crocchetta e un panzerotto. Tra serate pigre, il consueto rubarsi le coperte la notte, la scarsa voglia di socializzare dopo lunghe giornate di lavoro e la disputa garbata per decidere che animale domestico prendere in casa, questi due appetitosi innamorati vi conquisteranno, perché vi riconoscerete nel loro modo di essere. La giovanissima autrice Ana Oncina è ormai una celebrità nel suo paese e continua a raccontare le avventure di questa coppia che è un po' in ognuno di noi.

I never heard about this before... Not sure if the author is posting on social media as well. And seeing that the author is Spanish, it might be the reason why I did not see her work before.
I really liked the colour scheme which was really soothing. And it was fun that some "Stories" were just a page or two and some spanned over several pages.
However, after reading all three books by Sarah’s Scribbles and the book by Catana Comics... this felt very similar to those two but unfortunately did not measure up. Or maybe all of the "funny" situations were explored for me. I'm not entirely sure.
What I can say is that I'm definitely craving some croquettes after reading this.

This was a challenge to rate. As I assume everyone does, I rate books based on my feelings. The problem is that my feelings when reading this books were... all over the map. I was just not in a good headspace.
If I were to go off those emotions, I'd give this one star but that was because I was miserable and depressed.
So, after a bit of thinking, I've decided to rate this three stars. It was pretty dry. I loved the cute art style but there was much of any story (I know it's a comic but still...). It also wasn't very funny.
Overall, this book was a solid meh.

Croquette and Empanada is a graphic novel inspired from the real life relationship of the author and her boyfriend.
Both Croquette and Empanada were drawn beautifully and I loved the artist's style, but i feel that she failed to provide a great story. This graphic novel is a compilation of cute and funny story from their relationship, but the humor was a hit or miss. There are nothing much plot wise, a few cute and relatable situations here and there.
Unfortunately, I feel like Croquette and Empanada's stories are too similar to other visible comics on social media. I wish there was more uniqueness and funny stories to tell.
Best of luck to the artist for her future works.

¡Me ha gustado un montón!
Es una novela gráfica en la que podemos apreciar muchas situaciones que nos pasan cuando estamos con nuestras parejas y ha sido lo más adorable del mundo. Le daría más, pero siento que traicionaría a otros libros que me han gustado más por mucho que esta me ha gustado también. ¿Me explico? La he disfrutado un montón y pienso leer a continuación sus otros dos libros de Croqueta y Empanadilla.

Después de leer el especial de navidad de Croqueta y Empanadilla me decidí a leer los 3 libros de la saga.
Es una novela gráfica muy simple (quiero decir que no tiene una trama y que son como pequeños sketches) pero entrañable. Yo sigo enamorada de los personajes que, para mí son adorables. He disfrutado muchísimo de las situaciones que viven esta pareja y pienso seguir leyendo el resto de libros.
¿Os lo recomiendo? Si tenéis ganas de pasar un buen rato os lo recomiendo mucho.
Mi nota para esta novela es de 4⭐

Creo que me he reído con tres tiras.
Estoy sorprendido porque tenía muchas ganas de echarle un ojo a esta novela gráfica, pues la premisa me parecía muy interesante (una croqueta y una empanadilla viviendo juntos <3).
Lo que podría haber sido una vuelta de tuerca a las situaciones cotidianas se convierte en media hora de viñetas que, aunque están bien dibujadas y los personajes son adorables, me han dejado totalmente indiferente y frío.
Siento si parezco un ser con un corazón de piedra que no se enternece con la historia de estos dos personajillos, pero la autora podría habérselo currado mucho más, seamos sinceros. Aún así, esta es solo mi opinión al respecto.

This little book is a collection of comics all about the relationship of Croquette and Empanada, who are a sort of illustrated version of the author and her boyfriend. I don't know how much the resemblance is accurate in the behaviours but I found this little collection very nice and enjoyable. The scenes were cute and I especially liked the ones where their dog and cat were shown.
It's a perfect if you want a cute and quick read!

Alerte ! Choupitude en vue ! C’est mignon, adorable, ça met du baume au coeur. Une BD qui représente la vie de couple au quotidien avec beaucoup de douceur et d’humour, j’ai totalement adoré ! Croquette et Chausson sont si attachants, je les ai adorés et je me suis beaucoup reconnue en Chausson, elle me ressemble tellement !

This was cute enough, but I guess it just didn't really do anything for me. There are so many webcomic creators in the world doing these slice-of-life comics about their relationships right now that you really need to have something unique to set yourself apart, I think. The portrayals of the author and her partner as foods was a cute and unique thing, but everything else just felt so similar to comics I'd seen done ages ago by other artists that I guess it made it hard to get invested.

Croqueta y empanadilla es un comic que relata la vida de una pareja y el maravilloso costumbrismo que conlleva la convivencia.
Me ha sacado una sonrisa, me he sentido tan identificada en tantas escenas que no podía parar de sonreir.
Un comic suuuuper ameno y cuqui para una tarde de domingo o una noche que no tengas mucho sueño.
Pd: le pongo 4 estrellas porque una de las historietas es empanadilla regalando a croqueta un perro (Rodolfo) y no me gusta que se visibilice la acción de regalar un animal por un cumpleaños.

Es amena y fácil de leer (básicamente la he terminado en unos 10-15 min., sin exagerar). Es una novela gráfica en la que se muestran sucesos típicos de las parejas y también en otras esferas sociales. Sin embargo, es todo demasiado simple, sin ninguna historia en sí mas que ilustraciones de diferentes situaciones muy comunes. Por otra parte, no entiendo que los protagonistas sean una croqueta y una empanadilla en un mundo humano donde los demás son humanos y ellos actúan exactamente igual que los humanos pero son eso, una croqueta humana y una empanadilla humana. (¿Quizás haya una explicación más adelante? No lo sé).
Me sabe mal valorar la literatura con la nota más baja, porque sé que detrás hay trabajo e ilusión, pero trato de ser lo más objetivo posible dentro de la subjetividad literaria. Ya que es cortito y ameno, igualmente me gustaría leer la segunda y tercera parte de estas historietas para ver si hay un trasfondo o una evolución que le pudiera dar más sentido a todo y ofrecer una dinámica más amplia.

Devo dire che son contenta di averlo comprato in ebook E in offerta. Ne avevo letto recensioni entusiastiche ed è effettivamente carino (ci sono piccoli sketch di coppia in cui è impossibile non ritrovarsi), però forse è più adatto alla pubblicazione online come fumetto. Non so, sono quelle idee che funzionano bene come strisce, ma che poi raccolte insieme non ti soddisfano a pieno.

La verdad es que a mi una novela gráfica donde los protagonistas son una croqueta y una empanadilla, me pareció de los más cute y eso todavía no lo había leído. Pero una vez leída confieso que me declaro fan de esta pareja ejeje.
Es una novela grafica que no sigue una línea argumentativa como tal, si no que nos presenta una serie de sketches de situaciones cotidianas y muy del día a día de una pareja donde te vas a partir de risa ya que la autora consigue que sean bastante divertidas. Aunque no sean escenas de los más desternillantes es imposible no reírte ya que todo lo que envuelve a esta pareja es tan cute, adorable y tierno que te sacan esa sonrisa.
Y en cuanto a las ilustraciones decir que son geniales, son sencillas pero lo suficientemente detalladas, ya conocía el trabajo de la ilustradora, pero verlo por dentro con la gama de tonalidades escogida es preciosa.
Es un libro de lectura rápida, ideal para cualquier momento (ya sea para descansar de lecturas densas, cuando tienes menos tiempo para leer,...) o para salir de un bloqueo lector.

The illustrations were charming, but I don't think they make up for the dullness of the plot.
The story was just too plain because it was too relatable . Maybe the couple could've had food problems. What was it like interacting with humans if you were a food? Was it difficult to deal with them? Did the food ever get stabbed and eaten by their human neighbors? Was there any weird food tradition when it comes to living together? The story needed something more weird and unique.
The concept of the empanada and croquette couple living like humans wasn't really that appealing. I really don't see the point to it. The story would very much be the same if they were humans.
Overall, this book could work as a light and quick read. It could've been better.

Aside from the gimmick of the main characters being a croquette and an empanada, this is a fairly boring comic collection that relies on stereotypes, some bordering on the offensive. When Croquette basically fat-shames Empanada near the end of the book, I'd had enough. (Luckily, I was almost done.)
If you like books about gender stereotypes, crazy cat ladies, and the mundane, you might enjoy this. I did not.

2,5/5. People with very low and easy humor might like it. Not saying that in an arrogant way or anything, it’s just a very easy, light and absurd, but at the same time not absurd enough, humor with nothing original in it. It’s humoristic so it hits or it misses depending of your taste or style of humor. For me this one is a miss but i get why people might like it!

Estaba bien, croqueta y empanadilla me gustan mucho de ver los comics online de Ana Oncina y cuando veía el cómic en las tiendas siempre me parecía cuquísimo, y aunque sí lo es el hecho de que uno de los primeros comics fuese la cosa más heterosexual que he visto nunca (viniendo de un cómic sobre una croqueta y una empanadilla encima !!) pues me tiró para atrás un poco. Hubiese preferido que todos los personajes fuesen comida también ahsjahs era raro verlos con personas como si nada o mirando ropa humana para ellos mismos, what was the point of that??

Una historia muy corta y súper conseguida. Croqueta y Empanadilla son una pareja que empiezan su vida en pareja. Nos muestra el día a día de este curioso Duo y rápidamente me he sentido identificada con Empanadilla, por lo que más me he picado con esta pequeña novela gráfica y no he podido soltarla hasta acabarla. Además, la autora tiene una mano increíble.
